-Story-
2000 b.c, there was a disturbance between the spirit world and the human world. 3 Spirits were created from the moon and crash landed. The 1st was a dragon-shaped, the 2nd was fox-shaped and the last was phoenix-shaped. The 3 spirits bought destruction through out world. Everything was burned to ashes and thousands of people died. Natural disasters were appearing left and right, all hope seemed lost. One day, everyone fought to destroy the 3 spirits but were killed in the end. Then one warrior came above all the rest and fought the spririts 3-1. It was a battle to the death. the warrior was tired and seemed like he could not fight no more. As the Dragon-shaped demon charged for his attack that could wipe out a city in seconds, the warrior performed a sacred handsign and raised his sword. The spirit blasted his attack at the warrior. The warrior used a sword as a shield and deflected its blast. The warrior hit all spirits with his palm at began to sealed the spirits inside of him. it was over. the warrior absorbed the spirits' energy and strength and the warrior gained powers beyond man can ever dreamed of, he was greatest warrior known to man. As he was married, he had children. Then the children began to had spirits in them. The spirits in the warrior were beginning to multiple though him. Year 1513, over 1000 children and adults had spirits with in them. The ordinary humans began to hate them and decided to take out everyone that had spirits with in them. The humans taught they had won the battle between Human Vs. Spirmans but a few of the spirmans had survive. A handsign was used to keep the spirits in people asleep to make them look as ordinary humans. Year 2005, only a few spirmans had exist, or they taught they had, children were raised to use their powers wisely and were hoped to not be discovered.
Now a huge battle breaks out between spirits and demon trapped in The Void Black-hole.

If there was one thing Avalon hated above all others, then that was lessons with her mother. It's not like she hated her mom or anything, it's the subject that she hated.
"I haven't EVER met one, not ONE spirman in my life! How do you expect something to tumble out of the void here?" She frowned at her mother who seemed to be handling the teens whining quite well.
"Concentrate honey, I don't want you sealing yourself in your own scroll."
The teen gave the older woman a WTF look and looked down at the parchment. It's definately a page from the original Bible. The girl thought bitterly as she tried to keep up with her mother. Three months and still no progress with this 'sealing' stuff. The only thing she was capable of now was opening the tattered piece of paper which was said to have been "passed down"
Yea, sureeeee....
Why couldn't her mother understand? There were no such things as 'Viders' anymore. Her mother's stories were becoming more and more doubtful everyday. Whilst the older Joya claimed to have fought Viders and live alongside other Spirman, Avalon had yet to even see her own inner spirit (ignoring her dreams here).
Yes, she knew it was a fox, and she knew how to fight. Combinations from the cheer-leading, karate and dojo training made for excellent combo attacks - tested on mom of course. But what the hell man? It all felt like old man's rubbish now. While the world was modernizing every day, here she was stuck at home learning ancient crafts, that were probably extinct by now, and didn't come from her father's but mother's side of the family. The day she used her powers will be the day she spends the night in the empty dog house.
Pfft. As if that would ever happen...
"Pay attention Avalon!" A smack on the head and the crimson eyed teen was back on the dining table. Curse her short attention span.
That night when she was out in the city with her friends a sudden chill ran up her spine. The feeling was nerve tingling and stomach churning. She didn't know why her heart suddenly started pounding but she felt her inner spirit -fox- getting excited. This had never happened before.
...Comrade... Avalon heard a deep, distant voice in her head. It was definately not her own. She felt eyes on herself, but from where? While making things look casual, Avalon searched her surroundings for anything or anyone unusual...
None she could see.
Tonight was going to be troublesome... somehow...

 Fay eyed the young man who had just walked out of the pizza parlour suspiciously. There was something odd about him…something that was similar to her.
Could he possibly be a Spirman like her? The girl did not know. But her sense told her that something was to happen tonight, and she couldn’t decide whether it was going to be good or bad.
The 14 years old girl had been out of the SR&E organisation (Spirman Research and Experiment) for over 6 months and is now working part time at this pizza restaurant as a waitress. She thought the SR&E was a torture, a place that had imprisoned Fay for the most part of her life, but now that she was out and free, the girl was starting to doubt that freedom is better than her old life. Sure, now she could do anything she wanted, but Fay didn’t have someone to talk to anymore. At least she had a friend at the laboratory. The friend who got Fay out of what she used to call hell. And she was going to have to repay him someday.
Sssss….a voice hissed inside her head.
Bara the phoenix, Fay’s inner spirit, was definitely in a hysterical and excited mood. Usually Bara would be asleep all the time, due to her “boringness” as he described, he would only make an effort if he feels something exciting was going to happen or if he senses sushi. Not that Bara had ever eaten one.
“So something must be happening” Fay muttered quietly to herself and gave a little smile.
When her shift ended, she took off her waitress costume, collected her belongings and left.
This could be it. Maybe this would be the day Fay had been waiting for 6 months. It’s either going to be the so-called Viders, or her ally, another Spirman. Or it could be both.

After Avalon lost count of the death threats from mom she finally decided to call it a night. While most of her school friends lived around, she actually had to catch a bus and walk -or most literally hop, skip and jump- the rest of the way home, if she felt like it she would hack a ride and drive the driver bananas with her talking- which depended on the luck of the driver.
After hopping out on her stop she decided to run home through a shortcut in the dump -yes, a path mother had most definately banned her from using- She was her own girl so what the heck!
Halfway through her shortcut her cell rang. She quickly put it to her ear.
"Avalon, tell me the number of your stop, I'll pick you up from there. It's too late to be out on your own"
The teen rolled her eyes. "I'm almost home, mom. No need to worry, besides, I know karate! Ah, I can see the gate of our area!" Big lie. The shortcut led to the back of her home area, so she actually had to jump the wall to get in.
But who would tell Mrs. Joya? hehehe
Yes, for a fifteen year old, she was no less then a brat.
When she was almost out of her shortcut she heard a loud hissing in her head, then an ice cold feeling crept on her skin. The girl stopped and did a full 360, wide eyed and scared. Today isn't my lucky day
She sprinted out of there and when the top of her home came into view she calmed down. It was in a millisecond or less when something jumped out of the shadows and charged towards her. A retard, disfigured looking person.
Avalon took one deep breath as her eyes shrank to slits and her muscles tightened. VIDER!

Not good, not good.
It was at times like these that she wondered why she disobeyed her mother. This time was quite a bit different. Far more chilling. Only when the creature snapped it's inhuman jaws at her that she hauled herself with every ounce of courage she could muster and jumped high.
Avalon came to one very serious conclusion. Viders were ... scary ... very very scary.
The disfigured human body was not much far behind as she sprinted back the way she came. Now was a good time to test her summoning skills, and she did.
She wasn't sure whether it was the reality of the situation or the her mood that was serious or perhaps that her heart was beating a hundred extra beats every minute, what ever the case, her summon worked and came out her Twin Blade.
The girl swirled around swishing the blade and creating a deep gash in the monster's face. Strange coloured liquid poured out and Avalon was quick to escape when the creature fell back in -possibly- pain.
Never taking this route EVER again!
Yes, mum might kill her, but this matter had to be discussed. She could bring forth her successful summons as one line of defence but that didn't sound like enough from a week's grounding.
Her heart was still racing with itself as she literally ran half way back to the commercial zone of the city, her weapon clutched like slipping life in her palm.
Passing by people gave her strange looks and she was quite sure one or two officers also called out to her, but she didn't care. Right now, she was going to get as far away from that dump place as she could. She would sit in a crowded mall, call home and wait for her mother there.
Sue her. This was her first experience with a thing out of normal and she had every right to be scared!
Somewhere along the path she bumped into a taller teen. She nearly sent him flying off the pavement but his reflexes kept him intact. She spared him just one glance: his hair was put down and spiked, and he wore pretty much the same kind of clothes her beloved crush Kai did, though very much unlike Kai, his sharp eyes were lit up with humour and surprise as she apologized in a rush and ran past him. She looked over her shoulder once more and could still see the top of his head among the other people that passed.
Somehow, he felt different ...

The 14 years old girl stood stunned at the sight of the ugliest creature she had ever set sight on. Seriously, pictures in those research papers Fay had stolen to study back in the days when she was still in the SR&E did not do this vider its justice.
Should I? Fay thought to her inner spirit and then glanced at the other girl at the other end of the road.
The other girl wouldn’t be able to see Fay from where she is standing as she is hidden behind a building, but Fay would see it all. And she can choose whether to go and help or keep out of all the trouble.
It was obvious, from various reasons, that this girl at the other end of the road is a Spirman. For one, the tall girl was not running away.
But she was.
Ok, she is just backing away because the vider caught her defenseless. Fay immediately came in defense for her possibly one and only ally. I mean, she’s taking out her weapons!
Sssss. Bara hissed thoughtfully, excitedly. Maybe. Follow her. Help her.
Shut up. The young girl hissed back. I will.
With that, she drew out her own weapon, and followed the chase between Spirman and Vider.
“Come on,” Fay muttered softly, but urgently to herself “show what you’ve got Spirman.” |
