PostPosted: Tue Sep 07, 2010 1:58 am

When her knight left- her stare as he did was a long one before he disappeared from her sight. Then she turned around to see the meaningless body of a puppy lay with just a twitch or so. "I took your soul~ as a child.. you should be dead." Her voice was that of soft yet so dark as she took the steps back in to her den.. coiling around it as she laid to be at eye level with it. Ears back as she waited for it to move again. "The spirits have found a name...for you little one. " A soft smile. "For you have been the first child with such a strength as to hold on without a soul... Nafsi Muangalizi. My soul watcher." The name was almost stuck.. he was a cute one. One that looked like his grandfather. The greatest dragon in history.

[ Time went on like the sands in the hour glass, watching him grow and walk..all on his own ]

It had been some suns and moons after the little thing had lived with her knight and her. She watched the first steps- when coming around back in to the den. Blankly. She watched.. then shrugged it off as nothing except the growing up. Now, he had been with her for some time.. he slightly grew on her. Not wanting now to just throw him in to the lake with sibling. Her knight, would look at the little one as his own.. and that made Subira deep inside want to call it her own. Today- she found herself staring at the place in which she last saw her knight go to hunt and protrol their small land. Laying there with not any particular emotion of course. Then soaking in the afternoon. Waiting.

Nafsi was attached to his mother, he never like to stray far. He never really spoke, usually he'd sit under a shaded spot and watch everything aroung him. Sometimes he'd even try to be like her. His dad spent some time hunting so that would leave him with his mom which he wouldnt mind, in fact sometimes he was happy it was just them. As his mom lay there he slowly trotted up to her from where he was laying and came up alond side of her and plopped down next to her. He rolled onto his back and looked up at her with his big charcoal gray eyes, a reflection of his mothers. He streached a little and rolled back over onto his stomach. He got closer to his mother and nuzzled against her shoulder looking up at her with a smile.

Staring, but up until she felt something nuzzle against her. Her eyes strayed from the sight to look down at her, son. Watching as he stretched.. but saw those eyes.. those eyes that made her close her eyes and get absorbed by the feeling before softly leaning down to his level and licked his head. "Awake now? Or still asleep." Her voice so tender but empty sounding..

Looking up at his mother he smiled a little, hearing the empty tone in her voice her looked into her eyes. He felt sometings was wrong, he wondered what it was. He never really liked talking; it was a strain on his voice. He didnt know why it was this way, but he never questioned it. Instead he would normally stay quite however he couldnt help but weakishy rasp to his mother, rasping as he asked "What....wrong...." Looking into her eyes with a gentleness.

She didn't quite pay attention to many things in the earthly realm when she was zoned out. But this little one always seemed to grab her attention now matter the case. "It has been quite is all." Giving him a weakly smile before looking back in which place she stared. "I feel as though something will come of the horizon soon." Ears back..

He looked to where is mother as turned her attention to. Watcing the horizion. He wondered what it could be. His mother always knew something interesting. He stared with his mother looking at the horizon. Unsure of what she was excpeting. He lay there with his mother in silence watching and waiting for something anything...

"You will do well not to expect it to come, but let it come and be accepting to all that comes.. and you too will learn that one must not expect but be prepared for the storms of time. Little one." Looking down at him.. then out to the grandness of the wide open plains.. "Dragons.. like we are. Come from ones of great strength and great knowledge.. not the foolish that will perish." Her eyes watched out... but though she knew something was going to happen.. she did not try to intervene and stop it, she let it go on like the waves from the ocean. "Heh.. Can you smell her now?" Softly she chuckled but it disappeared quicker than when it erupted from her..

Nafsi looked up at his mother with a bewildered look upon his face. Dragons? Smell who?, He thought to himself. He stared at his mother for a moment, then looked out upon the open plains, then to his motherpondering what she had just said. After of few moments he closed his eyes and concentrated. Breathing slowly in and out, taking longer and deeper breaths... nothing...

He watched out in to the great empty plains like his mother, still thinking of what his she had said. Her, whos her?
He didn't think to much of what his mother said, to him some of the stuff she would say never made sense to him, but he never questioned it... So he stared out into the plains like his mother once again...

Subira's ears flicked up when she heard the distant sound of feet hitting the ground. "My son.. you will learn to hear these things.. In time. In time." Slowly she got up with a very laze notion of moving. It ailed her to move- well. No. But it looked as though it troubled her to move and wasting precious time meditating for her to get up and greet. Taking a few- long- yet willing steps only about seven at most til she was greeted by a very slate gray teal looking wilddog.

User Image

She had a band of skull heads on a necklace with feathers upon it- and it gave a horribly scary jingle to it. Hallowed bones made funny noises- and Nanu was one for laughing. She greeted her daughter as she came by with a light step in her footing. Looking more like a mother- a caring mother than anything but she didn't speak nor make her presence known. Nuzzling and giving a few licks to her daughter before peeking over her head to see the little ball of joy.

Her very being brightened up like a light bulb as she wagged her tail and gave a reassuring smile to the young one. making some oddly noises that probably would never be known to come out of a dog. Her tail racing to each side.

She looked to her daughter.. then back to the child.

Subira gave a slight gesture of being saddened before giving her head a nudge to the side. Giving the 'ok'. "Come along Nfasi." Calling him by a nickname for she was probably to lazy to say his full. "Come to meet your grandmother." The words slipped by as though it was no big surprise- and for her. It wasn't and she was never known to be overly happy nor overly too emotional about these things. Detached though her mother brought out just a tiny bit of a smile out of Subira.. Though it was rather unwelcomed..

She...was glad her mother had come. Her tail slightly wagging.

The wilddog was overly too joyful for the occasion and quickly went down to eye level to greet the young one.. Oh. A grandchild! The first! She ever knew about.. but the FIRST!- She just HAD-HAD to tell Loth.. but how? Her inners were turning and bursting with the utmost joy.. A smile plastered on her face. Feathers waving about in the air.

Nafsi looked up at the wilddog and smiled. He simply bowed his head. Wow... this is mommys mommy. She pretty. He thought curtiously as he looked at his mother then his grandmother. His grandmother was beautiful, he admired the necklace around her neck. It was quite beautiful. He might have seemed composed on the outside but he was possibly just as excited as his grandmother; his tail wagging wildly side to side. He looked at his mother and saw the small smile erupt from her which made him smile more as he gently nuzzled against his grandmothers leg. Was this who mommy was talking about? That thought vanished as quickly as it came, he smiled and continued to nuzzle against his grandmother.

Nanu
The wilddog was gitty and just ecstatic. Promptly tucking her legs inward and prompted on the ground in front of the little one. Giving him nuzzles and licks.. and when he was nuzzling against her.. it almost felt JUST as over joyed as when she first saw him.

Subira
Subira blankly starred. "Mother.." She said softly and looked down at her- not wanting to scoop down to her son's height just out of unwanting to do such a thing. "And ..? What can I pay the visit?" A trying smile.. TRYING. Straining to do so- might one add.

Nanu
Nanu shook her head and looked up at Subira with a wide smile. Tapping on the ground a few times.. The tapping was often used along with her body language to show what she was feeling and what she wanted to say. As she went back to nuzzling and promptly picked up the boy and put him between her front legs to lick and groom him. Oh yes. This one was cute and exciting.. The first! She didn't expect Subira to be the first! To give birth. This.. well. This surprised her highly but she had saw from afar that mate of hers.
He was a keeper. Kind.. loyal. It made her smile softly.. remembering a certain male whom used to do the same to her. Gin. That very thought crossing her mind.. A look of shy and cuteness emitted from her.

Subira
"Your thinking of him. Aren't you." Seeing as her son was almost swallowed by her mother- made her toss her head to the side. "His name is Nafsi. For short.... Nafsi." She looked to him. "Your grandmother is.. a mute. She doesn't talk.. but you will learn to read her gestures...Like any number of wilddogs.. you can tell what they want- by looking at them. Studying them. Thats what a good 'dragon' does." Stating it as she leaned down and gave a budge to his butt in to her mother's arms.

Nanu
Nanu noticed those black orbs. Like his mother's.. eye her necklace. A smile brewed.. oh yes. Goodies for the puppies.. well. Pup. Nuzzling him softly.. Her ears went up and looked to her daughter when her tone went down and directed it towards the memories she thought of. Her daughter, was gifted with a wonderful ability. To study one.. and learn her body language.. Even if it was just a glimpse thought. Starring right in to her eyes before looking back thankfully at the puppy in her arms.

Subira
Subira slowly took a few steps away.. circling them before finding a little dip in the grass to lay in. Observing her mother.. "She is happy to have met you.. your the first to be born.. out of the ten of my siblings- Nafsi. Your a blessing for the family.." Her eyes slitted tiredly from talking a lot more than she had in front of her son before. But she saw the way she looked at Nafsi, her mother. Absorbed in the cute puppy loving.. closing her eyes and imagining what it would be like if Nanu had mated to Gin instead of her father. Loth. Shaking her head. Those eyes.. that her mother had sometimes really were deep..
She could only imagen what it is like to have been in Subira's perdictament. Well. She looked as though she was ok with her father though- just. The 'possession' part. She question, just because her mother didn't seem like the type but. Subira shrugged. Almost over thinking it. She 'possessed' her son. She owned him, and she owned her mate.. but it seemed on a completely different scale as the one her father had.. but in reality. They thought alike in that aspect.

Nanu
Nanu looked at her daughter. Questioningly as she made a weird bark noise that was rather odd in sound.. unlike other wilddogs. Then looking down and nudging Nafsi roughly.

Subira
"Mother. He has yet to grow legs enough to hunt." Starring at her with a strict face. Rolling her eyes. Her mother can be 'too' overbearing at times when it came to raising a puppy it seemed. Wanting to inspect his every ability and movement.

Nafsi:
Nafsi wasn't sure what to do, his grandmother was so blunt for someone who is apparently mute...Before he knew it he was being licked and cleaned by his grandmother, and he didn’t like it. He didn’t like anyone to groom him but his mom. But his mother seemed ok with it so he figured it was alright.

Nafsi noticed his grandmother necklace, it was quite intriguing. He just admired it for a moment. Nafsi listen to his mother talk to him. He was really the first born, and his grandmother had ten puppies, than why was he an only child... Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. He didn’t want to share his mother anyway.

Nafsi looked up at his grandmother, she was so... well blue, there wasn’t a drop of black on her... he wondered how he was related since they looked nothing alike. The noise his grandmother made sounded like something he might do. He looked at his mother. Hunt... This wild dog wanted him to hunt... he was barely a pup, was his whole family crazy?

Nanu
She gave them a gruff and tried to toss her head over her shoulder as if to say 'come on'. Standing now as if to show the position of leadership. When Subira and all the 9 puppies she had were about his age. Just a pup. She was already showing them the ways of the hunter. At NO point did she want them to scavenge like their father.. But now to see her grandson did nothing of hunting? Surely Subira's mate did the hunting.. She thought about it for a moment, looking up to the sky before turning her head and looking down. Her tail softly padding back and forth. Then tossing her head again.

Subira
A sigh settled within her as she lowered her head to her son and softly pushed him up to his feet. "Your grandmother insists that you at least watch a hunt.. You have to learn.. is what she is trying to say.. my pet." Putting her paw on his head softly grazing it to his back before planting it down on the ground and pushing herself up. "I guess... we can look."

Nanu
A smiled brimmed on across her maw as she turned and started to trot off towards the the forest below.. Her golden feather dancing about in her tail as her necklace was beating on her body.. She didn't quite notice her lil grandchild looking and eyeing her for it. No. She had given one similar to Subira but not hers. No.. hers was special.. as it dangled the skulls of birds and rats.. and many lil prey animals.

Subira
She stood tall and shook herself off in a manner that she was showing she was ready for anything. Something in the norm that she would do everyday but in fact. Subira did little to kill anything. Elohir was the one whom did all that. As she stayed at home with the child and chanted away to the spirits.. but today it seemed like she wouldn't get to do that. Not like she wanted to anyways. Her mother and her had a very different outlook in to the shaman world. It was be safe to assume that... Subira was on the opposite side.

She tapped her foot to have him follow along as she slowly went in to a trot a little ways behind her mother as to wait for the child to start on the same path.. He would learn something today, and proved to his grandmother. Something will happen, she could feel it.

Nafsi:

Nafsi slowly followed his family. He didnt know the first thing about hunting he was hardly ever out of the den but his mom was with him so he felt okay. His grandmother was so excited to see them follow her... was she really this head-strong about hunting? But on some level he admired his grandmothers bravery..... she is the provider for the family.... maybe he could do that. She wanted him to hunt so young maybe he should learn. He would have to eventually; maybe he would take this as a learning experience.

He run up to his grandmother and trotted along her side and looked at her necklace. Maybe one day he would be able to get one like her's. In some way she was like him..... she couldn't talk but in some ways neither could he. But he wasn't as determined.... his mom was over protective. He was starting to wonder if it was a good or bad thing...

Subira
Subira pulled herself back and nodded as to let her mother take ahold of the training. FIrst, she said that he was going to WATCH, but as she saw her mother was really grabbing her attention. At this rate, he would have been taken in to the hunt so she slowed down and called for him as Nanu went in to the stalking mode.

Nanu
When she lowered in to stalking, it wasn't even a few moments luckily to find something. A small gazelle. Small.. it was probably just born a few days ago giving how it stumbled and just succumbed to laying in a ball after the few failed tries. Lowering her body. Thinking they both were behind her. Lowering almost to her stop with her paws just itching forward til she turned around to see her grandson. Signalling to him. 'Come on~ ' She gawked at him.

Nafsi
Nafsi looked between his mother and grandmother, he slowly inch up to his grandmother and watched the gazelle. He had never seen how hunting takes place it was actually pretty exciting, he could feel his hear race. Wanting to attack but he waited and watch, he wasnt as skilled as his grandmother nor is mother but he had to learn. He watched her movement carefully observing not wanting to make a sound.

Nanu
Nanu's body slowly inched closer.. When she was ready to move. She nudged his head before showing him her paw to stay low. While she climbed over him and quietly but quickly went around to do a sneak attack. When she was in place.. she gave a signal with her aw slowly in the air.. and jerked it forward to 'go ahead'. Not realizing he didn't know a thing. In her mind, it was basic instinct!

Nafsi
Nafsi stared wide eyed at his grandmother, what the hell did she want him to do?! He didnt know anything! He didnt want it to get away, all he could do was slink down to the ground... He back up away from the prey. He didnt know what do do...He wanted his mommy... He back up into his mother front paws before running under her and hiding between her legs, he wasnt ready to hunt.... he didnt wanna do it anymore.....

Subira
She eyed her mother and as soon as she saw what she was doing. She immediately slowly went up to nab him but once it was time for him to go. He, himself fled back to his mother's arms and hid underneth her. Lowering her head and licking his face before at least pulling him up to see what the hunt would do. He had made enough noise and that spooked the little gazelle just enough to prop up on his legs. Looking around scared as hell.. Shivering in it's meatless legs..

Nafsi
He dug his feet into the ground he didnt want t know what was going on he began shaking his head vigorusly. He didnt wanna do it. He didnt know how and he already messed up, he was gonna get in trouble for scaring off lunch. He squirmed just wanting to go home. He changed his mind he wasnt ready to be a hunter he just wanted to go back to his home.He could learn when he's older. He closed his eyes waiting for it all to be over.

Nanu
When she saw her grandson retreat.. A awkward face was placed upon her as she shook her head and once the gazelle got him. She knew that the kill could possibly get away with it being startled. So nanu rushed in, and quickly stepped in. Taking teh gazelle by storm but little did she know that mother wasn't that far. When she heard her baby scream in pain- she quickly trampled in and Nanu was faced with either dropping the child, or. Run. In this case she would have fled in a heart break.. But she stood her ground and whirled forward. Urking forward every other step the deer made until it trampled over to her making her quickly dodge out of the way of the dangerous hooves before high tailing it out! Slashing through the woods there after. For a few moments... All went quiet and the mother deer laid were her young way and lowered her body. Saddened and heartbroken... She shouldn't have left....

Subira
Subira was just about to throw herself in to the mix before thinking about her on pup and quickly pulling him up by his scurff and dodging through and making it half way in to the pasture before letting him go on his own feet. No matter what COULD have happened.. The father could have been around. Anything! So .. she had to take him back a few yards.. Knowing her mother would be fine. "Dear Nafsi.." She spoke with softness and nudged his head lovingly just slightly. Before going back to silence.

Nafsi
He thought for sure he was goning to be stuck there. He couldnt moved but then he felt air under his feet and opened his eyes to see he was moving in the air and realixed he was in his mothers mouth. He looked back tp see his grandmother taking down the prey. As his mother let him go he nuzzled against his mother. Looking back at his grandmother he couldnt do it. He was a big wimp. What would his grandmother think...

Nanu
Her head looked awkward as she pulled the much larger prey a few yards off and heaving it back towards the pasture they laid in before, Subira's territory. Once the body was dropped, her ears went up and so did her head to find where Subira had run Nafsi off to. He had run from a kill but she knew now he was only a cub. Sheltered by Subira- whom she never thought would cover his eyes so much. Then she started to peel off the fur with her claws and maw in the meatime.

Subira
Her essence over her son was dominate over what her mate had done on him. Nafsi was ALWAYS by her side, and only now did she realize how fragile a puppy was. He couldn't keep up with his grandmother and knew for sure that father would hear about this. Well. Not 'hear' but she knew that news will travel towards him on how she trained her son. Leaning down to nuzzle his head as well. "You will do better next time, your still young...maybe you can go hunting with Elohir next time to see how he brings home our food..." Whispering it in to his ear as she poked her nose on his butt and started off towards her den. Back home where it was safe.. To see her mother in the distance with scraping the kill, riding it of its fur.

Nafsi
Nafsi looked back at his grandmother and the dead prey... He looked down.... ya maye next time he thought. He followed his mother back to the den running every so often to keep up. Maybe when he gets better he can show his grand mother how much hes grown...
