Balia was at the outskirts for one of the first times in a long while. She had been busying herself with training in her future rank within the pride, which didn't take her long to figure out, as well as following around a very pale looking slave in attempts to make sure the pretty little thing didn't get beaten and scarred up beyond belief.

She wasn't quite sure about her intentions for the second thing she had ben doing, but for something reason, despite the fact the little lioness was an obvious slave, she did not want to treat her like the others treated slaves. She just found this little cub too pretty to waste. Like eye-candy, except eye-candy that wasn't technically her's, though she had thought about claiming the slave officially.

At the moment she had been scolding and attempting to drive off a juvenile who was becoming a little too big for her own britches and was attempting to leave pridal lands to find another slave in which she could properly torment. After some time the little black cub with the odd bright blue eyes and fading pink spotted fur turned heel and went back into pridal lands, giving Balia a moment of reprieve.

She hadn't seen Angra in some time, and though she did not want to admit it to anyone, it pained her. Not having his presence about made her anxious, like something was wrong in the world without being able to see him. She had no doubt that his reaction to her absence was not quite as fond, and was certain he had found himself another whore to pre-occupy his time with. She didn't understand why he did it. Did he find some sort of pleasure with being able to conquer every female in existence? She couldn't help but wonder what the day would be like when a female finally conquered him and put him in his place.

This brought a smile to her face, as she had always imagined it would be her; and remembering he conversation with Jini, and how the spawn of the neglectful red male had even encouraged her to 'change' Angra. It was he perfect fodder for a fire that had been growing within her since she was a cub. She was no push-over, squishy female. She was a demon, strong, proud and fierce.

He had past flings, recent killings and much more. All things that gave his life meaning, all things that had truly made his heart pump wildly. It meant little almost, he had something better, though he'd rather admit to being a soft hearted fool then being in something close to, if not, love.

He imagined her now, Balia, standing as proud as always above some small crowd. She was royalty of sorts after all. Something special indeed. Angra was on his way to see her now, not far from her actually. The prides territory was quite in view. He stopped, imagination blurring into effects again he pictured her, happy as can be with some slaves under her control.. Not an unusual idea to the pride, but seeing her happy made him almost smile.

That's when he really saw her, it was for the first time since she'd grown apparently. She was looking damn fine, body filling out perfectly, slim, soft features stained with a stone structure. Angra smiled excitedly, his eyebrows furrowing slightly in an attempt to hold himself back. He would watch for now, see if she spotted him first.

Would his Balia find him. He grinned.

She had heard Angra before she actually saw him, her ears flicking back as she heard the rustling of something within the brush and grass of the lands. Her tail swayed slowly, side to side, as if simulating someone who was relaxed. She hid her alert state well, keeping her breathing shallow and as steady as she could, trying not to allow herself to tense too firmly, all signs of someone who knows something happens to be out there.

Leisurely she turned to the side and glanced towards his direction, catching his red coat out of the corner of her eye. She ignored it and continued in the direction she was facing, disappearing into some brush for several minutes. She wanted him to think she had not seen him, and come a little closer to her.

She would surprise him, having already descended her way through the brush as if stalking pray, not making a sound and doing her best not to disrupt the foliage around her. She waited, patiently for him to wander his way into the perfect striking distance. She was in the mood for games, not that she knew he was there.

She saw something, he could not say if she saw him, but she very quickly and with straight face disappeared into some brush away from him. She seemed relaxed, but he could sense something else. She wasn't completely serene, and her disappearing definitely meant something,

Curiosity and some worry propelled him forward in a slow steady motion, if he knew his Balia right she could handle herself, especially in her new size. He felt his body's temperature go up to that thought. She was indeed growing into a beautiful young lady now and it was hard not to notice.

"Now where have you gone my sweet.." He purred softly to himself, moving slowly, but surely into a trap he did not realize was set for him.

Balia waited patiently for Angra to cross her path, anticipation creeping up her spine so forcefully she shudder momentarily in her excitement. As he came into view she poised herself for the strike. He had said he liked fighting for the sake of fighting, and so did she, so long as she didn't come out mauled so badly she looked horrid. She was fond of her beauty, after all, and didn't want it to disappear from sparring with another demon who didn't admire it as Angra did.

Crouching down quietly, she used her back legs to propel herself into a sprint, busting out of the brush she had been taking cover in, growling loudly all the while. Her actions, while serious in form, was all play, though onlookers (if there were any) might mistake it as her attempting to run an unfamiliar male out of her pride. As she came within reach of Angra she went for the pounce, deciding it would be easier to take him down by tackling his backside than his middle or front.

As she flew through the air to grab him, she smirked devilishly, "Right here."

Suddenly with a rush, a growl and a forward motion Angra was down for the count and if she had not spoken he would've rolled and gone into an actual attack mode but, with the sweetness he heard and he growled loudly, playfully BUT he moved in a more relaxed manner.

"Balia!" He shouted in his growl, tearing away the fact that other may think she was truly trying to attack him, his voice was pressed with an aggressive affection as he began pushing her off him so he could command. "Lookit you!" He proclaimed as he struggled from underneath her, she had gotten much stronger and he found himself trying to find a safe medium. He had gotten the speech about how she fancied her beauty, any scratches might put him in the 'wild dog house' and he didn't want that.

Pausing briefly in his struggle he smiled at her and nipped at her ears and neck lightly.

Balia growled shortly at him for the nips before rolling her eyes and nuzzling him with a slight purr rumbling in her throat. He sounded excited, even happy, to see her, which for Balia was an odd thing. Through her cub and juvenile days , her appearance had either always been an interruption or inconvenient visit, even if he ended up wanting to see her. Now he was seeking her out more and more, a pleasant turn from her having to seek him out.

Balia smiled at the attention Angra was giving her and spoke, "I grew."

She stated it as if it wasn't obvious by the changes in her physical body, but there was also a change about her that wasn't just physical. She carried herself differently. Not like she did when she was a cub and juvenile, thinking she was better than everyone else simply because of her lineage. Snobby to the point of annoyance. She still had that sense of superiority, but it wasn't thrown in anyone's face. She carried it gracefully, like that of someone worthy enough to be crowned a queen. She was elegant now, not boisterous and petty. Sure, she still held many of her underhanded ways, she was a demon after all, but they weren't as apparent as they used to be anymore.

"Well no kidding you grew m'dear!" He smiled broadly, tail swiftly moving behind him in an excited pattern. If it had been any stronger he may have even left the ground momentarily! But he kept himself grounded. His eye's moved over her pelt tenderly, gazing longer at her curves then her soft sides and eventually into her eyes.

Her voice was bolder as well. She'd grown all over, just as he pictured her, elegant, suave in a girly way and just over all leader in the making. "You could rule the Demon Pride some day." He said smoothly, complimenting her happily. She looked the part and certainly acted the part, all serene like. He pictured himself her king and almost laughed at it, he could never be a king.

"How has my beautiful Princess been?" He purrs softly and moves forward to lick gently below an ear.

"I wish," Balia said curtly, though she shook it off quickly. Balia had learned the hard way, or would she say easy way, that regardless of the fact she was the granddaughter of the current king, she would never have a stab at that throne. It seemed to her as if it was an unspoken law in the pride that women could not pass above consort.

She wished with all her being that she could attain the throne, but one spot was already filled now and only her Uncle's children would be able to battle for it. Unless her grandfather were to die, Gods forbid, would there be another Tournament of Heirs? Would her father get another chance at it, or did her Grandfather already secretly pick? It was one thing she hated about the pride, the secrecy. What could you do, though? It came with the element...

"Busy, but still bored," Balia said, returning Angra's gesture, "For a pride of demon's that take what they want, we have far too many rules."

She looked him in the eyes and quirked her head, a cold and calculating look in her eyes, "...So what did you do while we were apart?"

Her eyes burned through his soul and back, luckily he could answer her question honestly. "I have not been doing much of anything, a pesky hyena for a sidekick and a lioness who feels she's worth more than less is all I need for a boring time." He grumbled lightly. His companion count had grown and shrunk then grew again. He lost all of his children, his prophesied army was gone, vanished as quickly as it had come.

"The cubs are gone m'dear, and as far as I know there should be no more cubs." He laughed at his 'joke', but the laugh was a little nervous. He was not sure about his answer. He barely remembers some nights as it were, falling asleep in a blind rage. He was the loser to his own winning streak. Getting somewhere, but no where at the same time.

"Eaten them all, have you?" Balia said, deciding to brush off his comment and go with the joke. It wasn't as if any of Angra's b*****d children would be coming to live with her, anyway, so there was no need for her to be upset about it. If they came looking, well, ugly surprises all around.

"A hyena? You can stand the cackling?" She commented, raising a brow. She detested hyena's. Not simply because they were inferior to lions, or demons, but because the noises they made were worse than listening to her Baby Aunt, Jr., pounce about the dens giggling, smiling and singing happy songs. She still wasn't sure how her Grandmother happened to give birth to such a happy, cheerful, sunshine and rainbow cub. She only hoped it wasn't a family curse.

The thought that all his children had left him made a small twinge of happiness trickle through her, mostly because one of the children who had left him now was spotted around the pridal lands with another demon. Jini, being seduced into a life she was notably meant for, at her proposal, but someone else's scheme. She wasn't sure if she should hunt down that demon and beat them for taking her recruit, or thank him for giving her another reason to force Angra back to her.

"Yes, yes eaten them.." He laughed lightly and recalled vaguely a brutal fight between him and a giant lion that took away his daughter Sabia, he didn't really remember the others all to much, in fact his seer daughter had vanished, the one he treasured most of all, the one that had some use to her.

"Don't doubt them Balia, this hyena has promised things and has kept to them so far. I believe she is in the works of building me an empire." He smirked proudly, tail twitching slightly, awaiting approval or disapproval from the face whom he'd adore to wake to every morning. Regardless if she approved though he'd take what he could get if it meant more power.

"I trust this hyena, not as much as you Princess Balia.. but I trust her." He stated this with regret, he had become weak in his own eyes, but he knew the hyena had use and that is why he kept her.

"An empire?" Balia asked, absolutely intrigued by the prospect of an empire. Words like those only made the feeling within her grow stronger. The need to make him hers not only for a moment, but for eternity.

Balia would never get an empire where she lived currently. She wasn't even sure she'd have a chance at possibly entering the Tournament of Heirs. Even if her grandfather died, Gods forbid, there was no guarantee that Verge hadn't already picked his heir, and that her father may not even participate. She wished he'd think of her future. Her siblings future. The Tournament of Heirs was probably the only thing that Balia would willingly enter, despite chance of maiming or scarring. Her chance at what she wanted; to be Queen.

"Tell me of this empire, Angra. I want to know about it," Balia said, looking around and nipping him, "Come. We'll go to my den. You can tell me there, where no one will hear us."
