The young wild dog, barely an adolescent, had been travelling for days, or weeks? No it was only days. It felt like weeks though. She had never been alone in her whole life and now that she was she was finding it hard going.
Luckily, she more or less knew where she was going and making a bee line for the lands known only to her as the peke-na. Still it was hard work out here in the rogue lands a young dog all alone, even if at home she was a little warrior.

Xennek was wandering through the rogue lands as always. This time the lion favored a slight limp - from yesterday’s fight with another random rogue- but besides that he was in fine shape. Though he did stop once he spotted something dark walking along in the distance. Was that…could it be? With a soft growl the lion started sprinting after the shape. If it turned out to be that one trickster - well the lion would make sure that he was beyond limping when he was finished.

Xenas large doggy ears twitched up quickly as the lion ran towards her. Turning her sunny nose to the lion she barked a little woof and lowered herself ready to run a howling growl in her theroat. "I can fight you know?" She yaps, though she was terrified it wasn't in her to turn tail and run. She knew at some point, if he attacked she would have to bolt with her tail between her legs, but at the moment she could be brave, maybe the huge, scary lion would stop in his tracks? Hopefully!
Sabra
It was a dog? A female wild dog? Xennek stumbled to a stop and laughed at her comment. The poor girl, he must have been a scare! Running in randomly like that, even Fiore would have clobbered him for such tactics. "I'm sorry." He managed in between breaths. "I really thought you were someone else." The lion pulled back and studied her with a grin. For a small one she had spunk. Tilting his head so that his braid moved out of his face the lion shook his head, "Normally I don't run at others like that....sometimes." He made a face before shrugging, "Though I'm curious. Would you have really fought back if I lashed out at you?"

Xena lifted from her crouch slowly, her body still tense, her eyes searching over the large lion, looking for any chance that he might still spring at her. He seemed civil, now he had stopped charging though and she sat slowly, her muscles cramped ready to leap away or at the lion should he think about carrying on his attack. "Of course I would have attacked. Just to make you stop then I would have been a brown spot on the horizon." She grinned slightly foolishly, her deep orange eyes dancing playfully, though there was nothing but caution behind those bright eyes hidden behind her c**k sure words.
Sabra
"Oh really?" Xennek grinned playfully. If she didn't seem so young then he would have eagerly challenged her for a fight. Nothing serious of course. Though her comment did make him laugh, "Nice." Suddenly he looked around before studying the dog again, "I can't help but to notice that you have no companions. Isn't it dangerous traveling alone by yourself, miss?" Not that he was being sexist by saying that a female shouldn't wander alone...well not on purpose. Xennek just felt the need to ask since he did seem easily concerned over any female's well being.
Syr
Puffing out her tiny slim chest the young dog shakes her head. "Oh no Sir I am perfectly old enough to be out alone." She smiles wagging her tail and causing a little dust cloud to form around her paws. "I am travelling to another pack not very far from here. My father is a part of that pack and I am travelling to find him." She beams proudly, she had taken this challenge upon herself but it was still daunting even if she did act so sure of herself,s he was indeed frightened of being alone.
Sabra
"Oh?" Xennek shrugged though her actions made him grin. "If you insist, little one." Moving a little the lion stretched out on the ground and felt the dry earth in between his paws, "So you're finding family, eh?" his gaze softened. That must be nice to have a family waiting for you somewhere. Maybe one day he would have such a thing. Though the lion shivered at the same time, him staying in one spot? The mere thought was shocking. "I guess I can wish you luck though." He looked thoughtful. Would a dog want a lion's company for a bit? He wouldn't even know how to ask.
Syr
The young dog smiled softly, she liked this lion, he was nice, friendly to her, which was nice in a strange way. She hadn't met many lions in her life time and had always been told they could be frightening and could kill in a heart beat. "Yes. I have never met my father but my mother has told me much about him and where he came from. I'v been travelling for many days though and I don't think the distance is getting any less." She chuckles, feeling a little embarrassed that it seemed like a life time since she had left her mother. "I'm sorry I have not told you my name sir, I'm Xena, headed for the peke-na to find my father Zuberi."
Sabra
"Ah." Xennek tilted his head thoughtfully, "So how do you know that your father is even alive?" He asked before blinking sheepishly, "Not that I'm sayin' that he isn't! Just an afterthought you know." Glancing away the lion looked towards the horizon. "Seems to be further away than what you thought then." He looked back at her before nodding, "Nice to meet you, Xena. I'm Xennek." Though his first statement still haunted the lion. He really hoped that he was wrong and that Xena could find Zuberi alive and well.
Syr
Xena sighs lightly "I don't, but I hope he is, he was not an old dog when he met my mother so I think he will still be alive. My mother says he lived in the peke-na lands and that he would have returned there. He loved his home there he just liked to wander a bit." She smiles a wrinkly nose smile and shackles lightly. "I am sure he will still be there. I'm sure."
Sabra
Xennek let out a soft chuckle, "Keep hold of that optimism there. I'm sure the one that fathered you had to be a tough one." He grinned before looking back at the sky. "A wanderer, eh? I know that feeling. Though a pride hasn't caught this wandering rogue just yet." His midnight blue eyes gleamed with humor before he stood again. Tail flicking behind him the lion looked back from the sky and at Xena, "Seems I've held your journey up. But if you want to make it to the peke-na anytime soon then I should let you go." He paused sheepishly. She was still awfully young to him for being alone. "I might actually be wandering in that same direction. So we can walk together for a bit even, if you want."
Syr
Xena smiles brightly "Oh I would like that very much sir." She wagged her tail her bright orange eyes smiling up at the big lion. "I would love to have your company, at least until I have reached the place I hope to call home." She gets to her paws and walks up to the big lion. He was so nice. She had never actually met anyone as nice as him, lion or not, he was clearly a gentleman. "This way." She smiles pointing her nose in the direction she had been heading. "I'm sure he is still alive and when I get to the peke-na he will be ever so happy to see me." She smiles, her tongue lolling happily for a moment before she starts trotting in the direction she had been heading.
Sabra
"Great." Xennek smiled at the dog's obvious approval of his suggestion. So she wouldn't have to be alone in the roguelands after all. "Sounds like a plan." He commented before following her. "Oh, yes. I'm sure he is." The lion couldn't help but to softly chuckle at her enthusiasm. For her sake, he really did hope that her father was out there. Alive and well. With that thought in mind the lion started trotting along after the young female dog.
