Well . . I got the key and everything, but the patcher is buggy as all ****. It freezes and crashes. It's breaking my heart! I am so close to finally playing 14 and it's ripped away from me. I'm about to give up! crying

I know lots of people who are having the same problem. Have you checked the beta site forms for solutions. I know when i played closed they had all sorts of help threads and stuff on their for those kind of problems.
Tho when i had that problem all i needed to do was open up my ports... i know some people had to torrent too.

Yeah, you should check the beta test site. A lot of the times the buggy client updates are just glitches, and Square Enix address them and posts the problem and that they solved it on the home page of the site. Keep trying! biggrin !

There ya go. For some reason the SE patcher SUCKS. That will usually have all the patches within 1-2 hours of them going live. You can either torrent them or use live. I will even explain where said patches go.
The 2001 files are patcher updates, they go into My Documents/My Games/ FFXIV Beta Version/Downloads/ffxiv-beta/bca2a8ae
The .2000 files are the actual game updates. These go in My/Documents/My Games/Final Fantasy XIV Beta Version/Downloads/ffxiv-beta/d96437e6
Make sure you have all the files you need. They start at 8.27 and go on from there before you run the patcher. Hope this info will help you. Aren't you glad you have a pro as a guildie?!!? biggrin
