It all started the night a creepy shadow crossed my window. I didn’t know what it was, but I did know one thing: I was scared. I already hadn’t been able to sleep very well for a week. I didn’t get any more than about 24 hours of sleep in one week, if I even got to 24 hours. That night changed my life forever. For better or for worse, I still haven’t decided. Perhaps I am still trying to make sense of what happened that night.
You see, I used to be a human. I was a curious human girl. Yes, seeing the shadow outside my window scared me, but something drew me to check it out. I could not help myself. My curiosity got the better of me. That old phrase “Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back?” Yeah, well, welcome to my life. Or rather, un-life. I was always compared to a cat, for that very reason. My curiosity was my death, but also my rebirth.
Yes, I realize that sounds corny, but it is true. You see, that shadow wasn’t a person. Well, not the type of person you would normally think of. Sure, it had a human form, but it was far from human. At the time I was not sure what it was, but I came to find out very soon. As soon as I opened my window, it came at me. Whether it was waiting for me to open the window, or I had startled it, I will never know. What I do know, is that I was certainly startled and scared.
Well, to tell you the truth, when I said I was no longer human, it was a lie. I am part human. I am a human/vampire hybrid. I know, I know. There is no such thing, right? Wrong. You see, I thought so, too. After all, if you are bitten by a vampire, you turn into a full vampire. Well, guess we were wrong. You see, there are rules to this sort of thing. Rules us humans didn’t know about. Sure, they live among us, sometimes go to school with us, depending on if you are in college or not and if you have night classes, work with us, but we really didn’t know anything about them! I mean, they each have their own abilities, even! I am not sure what mine is yet, but I will find out!
Okay, again, not completely true. There are a few that do meet what we normally think of when we think of vampires. They are called the Royals. They are the purebloods, the full vampires. Only they can make a vampire a full vampire. So, you ask, how are there half vampires? Well, that gets a little tricky and I don’t completely comprehend it yet. I’ll have to get back to you on that, or you can learn along with me while I attend my new school. Come join me….at Vampire High. See you there!

P.S. You don’t really have to be a supernatural being to attend! You can be human! Although they don’t recommend it….but it is possible! It’ll be fun! Story In another world, humans and vampires, along with other supernatural beings, coexist. Some peacefully, others not so peacefully. There is still school, but no cell phones. No computer. The only form of communication, is writing letters or visiting the person you wish to talk to.
There are two types of vampires. The Royals, and the Dhampirs. The Royals are the pure-bloods. The full vampires. Dhampirs are half vampire and half human. All the newly created supernatural creatures attend a certain school for four years, to teach them the rules of their new life, to teach them what they have become, how to handle it.
Unknown to most, the Royals have decided to start a revolt against the Dhampirs. They feel they are an abomination and do not deserve to exist. What starts out as a "normal" school year, soon turns deadly as younger Royals grow anxious for the revolt. Some races choose to not get involved, though others begin to take sides. Soon schools all over the country are battlefields. Like with any battle, there are a few Royals who support the Dhampirs. Not all of them are against them.
Alongside the Royals wanting to destroy the Dhampirs, there are humans who wish to get rid of the supernatural beings. Attacked on both sides, the Dhampirs must be careful, but so must the other creatures.

It will make it easier for people to remember what you look like and your name. School Rules dramallama All vampire students are to be in their dorm rooms by five in the morning. No vampire student is to be caught out in daylight hours, regardless of if you are safe to be out in the sun or not.
dramallama All non-vampire students are to be in your dorm rooms by ten p.m. and may not leave them until seven a.m the next morning.
dramallama Anyone who violates the above rules shall be dealt with accordingly by the dean.
dramallama All students will be in class on time, and will not leave the class until it is released.
dramallama No vampire student is to feed on another student. Feedings will be taken care of. No student will go hungry, vampire or non-vampire.
dramallama There will be no use of abilities outside of the class for your ability. Obviously when there are attacks going on towards your character, you may defend yourself, but no killing unless the other person you are attacking agrees to it. Just keep in mind, there will be consequences. You are at school, after all. biggrin

**Look at my profile for examples on the color scheme! The two colors you will use in your profile are the same two colors that correspond to your ability! If you are human, well, you don't have to worry about colors. Just keep the sizes.** Abilities -Elemental: The creatures with the Elemental ability can control fire, water, earth, and air. It is to a lesser degree than those who only have one or two of the elements, since their concentration is spread amongst all four elements, but with training even they can be formidable. They can summon to elements from no where and manipulate them in anyway their minds can come up with. The colors for Elementals are Gray and Dark Orange .

-Fire and Air Elementals: The creatures with this ability can control Fire and Air. They are usually a bit stronger with these two elements compared to an Elemental since they only have to focus on the two elements, instead of four. The true masters of these elements can use the two in one, but it takes a lot of training to get to that point. The colors for this ability are Red and Light Blue.

Water and Earth Elementals: Again, those with this ability have greater control and are usually stronger, than those Elementals that have all four elements. With Earth, you can even call animals to come to you if you so desire, but learning this does not occur until your second year. The colors for this ability are Blue and Green.

-Telepathy: Telepaths are able to communicate with others through their mind. The further they grow in this ability, they can even come to control another person's mind, thus controlling them. The stronger the person's will, the harder it will be to control them. Control of animals is possible as well, as long as they are not being controlled by someone else first, such as someone who can control Earth calling animals to them. The colors for this ability are Purple and Gold

-Telekinesis: Telekinetics can move things with just a thought of their mind. The heavier, or bigger, the object, the more energy and concentration it takes. The colors for this ability are Fuchsia and Silver.

-Shadowbender/Invisibility: A Shadowbender can mold themselves into the shadows, making themselves invisible to others. They can even call shadows to them if there are shadows around. Or just the dark period. The colors for this ability are Black and Midnight Blue.

-Empath: Empaths can control the emotions of others. The can feel emotions as well. Control of this ability is extremely difficult and most often the users of this ability end up going crazy. Or they are already crazy. The colors for this ability are Indigo and Dark Red.

2. -Seer: Seers have the ability to see what is going to happen, before it happens. They are restricted to being able to See what is going to happen in their own lives. That is the one thing they cannot see. If they have enough control over it, they can direct it to a certain time and day. Their Visions may come through dreams, may come as they are sitting in class, may come as they are having a casual conversation. No matter how much control one has over this ability, they cannot control when it will hit if it decides to on its own. If they fight it, it will hurt. Seers are also blind. Often times they are called in to be the determiners of someone's fate, mostly because they cannot physically see anyone and thus cannot be biased by looks. It also helps them to focus in on their visions because they do not have to focus on ignoring everything around them or keeping their eyes closed. The colors of this ability are Maroon and Lime.

2. **The colors corresponding with the ability are the colors you are to use when you post. One color will be for your character's speech and the other will be for the actions. I know some of these colors have not been heard of, but I was trying to pick colors that would go along with the ability. Bear with me. biggrin **Races -The Royals: The Royals are the pure-blooded vampires. They think they are better than anyone else. Most of them despise the Dhampirs. They are, essentially, the snobs of the school. Royals can have up to two abilities, meaning they could be an Elemental and a Shadowbender, or a Telepath and a Telekinetic if you wished. Just keep in mind the effort that would be needed to go into such a thing. They do not have to have two, that is solely up to you. Due to their "pure" nature (being completely vampire) makes them a bit stronger and they can handle more. When they bite a human, and exchange blood, the human is considered a Royal, a pure-blood. They also then gain an ability. Being fully vampire, Royals cannot come into contact with the sun, else they will burn up and truly die.

2. -The Dhampirs: Dhampirs are half vampire, half human. The chances of a Dhampir existing are extremely rare, but there are occasions on which one does exist, aside from being bitten. Most Dhampirs on the planet are there due to being bitten by one. When someone is bitten by a Dhampir, for whatever reason, they do not become a full vampire. They, themselves, become a Dhampir. Being half human, they can come into contact with the sun with only mild irritation. The younger a Dhampir, the more the sun is a nuisance. Dhampirs can only have one ability. (How the Dhampir came to be will be explained in the role-play. Part of the Dhampir class.)

2. -The Weres: There Weres are any person that can shift into an animal. Any animal. From the smallest mouse to the largest dragon. These creatures are typically short-tempered. They can only have one ability as well, since their shifting takes up a lot of concentration. They do have a restriction as far as using their ability. While they are in their animal form, they cannot use it. The concentration needed to maintain their form and keep in control overrides their use of their ability. Also, those who choose to have their animal a wolf, when it is a full moon, you have no control over the shift. It will happen regardless. Whatever animal you can shift into, you can also control other animals of the same type. Make sure you are specific! Do not just say bird, for example. What kind of bird? The same for any animal! This is the only race that can override any Earth user's control over an animal, provided the animal is the same as the Were's.

2. -The Fae: Faeries are not as common as the Weres and Vampires. They are restricted to the elements for abilities. They can be Shadowbenders, however, but most of them are Elementalists, Fire and Air Elementals, or Water and Earth Elementals. If you are a Faerie and Elementalist, you have an easier time controlling all four elements. Faeries can either be the the small ones that are normally thought of, or human-sized. You can decide if the wings can be hidden or stay on them permanently. Faeries are usually tricksters and will help one side if they see something in it for them.

2. -The Elves: The elves are typically a peaceful race. They prefer to not get involved in squabbles, but if they must, they will side with the defenders most of the time. There are two different types of elves. The elves can have any of the abilities, but they mostly have the elemental abilities. Every Elf automatically has the Seer ability. So, they have two abilities. Elves love music and most often end up becoming musicians or something to do with music. They are graceful with an ethereal beauty. Their skin is light in color.

2. -The Drows: Drows are the the same as the Elves, except they are evil. Their skin is much darker, whereas the Elves are a pale-ish. The Drows will always side with those who are set out to do evil. Most Drows are Shadowbenders or Telekinetics, but they can have any ability, except Seer. They are limited to one ability, as well. They are usually easily irritable and do not like being around others. They are usually the loners of the school, not even wanting to spend time with each other.

2. -Humans: Humans make up most of the population. They are usually the prey for the vampires, but other times they work side-by-side with them. Humans do not have abilities, but if they are changed into a Were, or Vampire, they do gain an ability. Sometimes it goes according to what they had an affinity for while they were human, sometimes it is completely random. They are the only race that is not immortal and can die easily. They, obviously, have no restrictions to day or night.

I have been around for 17 years
Last time I checked, I was a Female
I am not like everyone else. I am a Dhampir
I am unique in that I am also a Seer
Some people would say that I like to cause trouble. I am very out-going and love to be around people. I am a friendly person, but not someone you want to make into an enemy. I am a schemer and do have issues with authority. I am very curious by nature.
I came to be who and what I am by letting my curiosity get the better of me. I had a run in with a Dhampir and ended up getting bit. Blood was exchanged (it sounds so gross, I know!) and well, I ended up a half vampire, half human. My parents all but threw me out of the house when they found out, so leaving to attend this new school is not an issue for me. I can't stand my parents anyway. Oh, and once I was changed, I found out that with my ability, came blindness!! I am so disoriented right now!
What I hope to gain from attending this school is more knowledge about what I have become and how to control it. As well as learning how to control my new ability.
I am a little fearful that someone will lose control of their ability or urges and something bad will happen.

Some people would say that I am a priss. That I am a snob. I could care less about other people. I put myself first. I hate Dhampirs with a passion. I hate others in general.
I came to be who and what I am by I changed when I was 16. The Royal that changed me, was a heartless creature and it rubbed off. I get by well enough on my own and do not need someone to tell me what to do. As time went by, I learned under my creator, and eventually became strong enough and he met his end. In the modern times, I founded the school.
I accept all manner of supernatural creatures, though the Dhampirs are accepted for one reason, and one reason only: their own destruction. With them right under my nose, it will be simple. I am leading the revolt on them. Sure, there are Royal's higher and stronger than I that disagree, but they do not know I am responsible. They merely know someone is trying to bring an end to those abominations to vampire kind.
What I hope to gain from attending this school is the destruction of the Dhampirs.
I am a little fearful that nothing. I am not scared of anything.
