Us writers also tend to be avid readers so, what book(s) are you reading right now? Post the title and author(s) and tell us whether or not you would recommend them to others.

I'm currently reading...

* Pastwatch by Orson Scott Card - Its a very interesting read and I would recommend it to any sci-fi fan. However, all the original characters are "bleeding-hearts" and that does tend to get on my nerves while reading a little.

* The Lost Tales by J.R.R. Tolkien - I've only just finished the first tale and so I can't formulate an opinion yet. However, I have always loved Tolkien's stories, so I probably will like it.

I tried reading Halo: the Fall of Reach, but I just couldn't get into it. I usually like "expanded universe" books but for some reason the Halo EU just isn't interesting to me.

I am currently reading:

* Time Enough for Love by Robert Heinline - Not sure how to describe it. Its about a (for all intents and purposes) immortal man sitting in a room telling stories from his great long life. Most of them are really interesting however, they all have very strong undercurrents of misogynistic propaganda. I'm actually considering starting a thread about it in the main Books forum (but I probably won't).
