Larka: -outside the rain came down from the heavens with such force that would could barely see outside of the stone den, it looked at though a white sheet blocked all view to the outside world and it was just her and Torrent, in a wrold that was all their own for the time being until the elements calmed their fury, turning to her mate she smiled and laid her head over his paws- I don't think even the bravest or stupidest of wolves would try to do anything today...
Torrent- *He liked the rain, even though it tended to wash away any of the fun he could have during the day. It usually meant a quiet evening in the den and today..that was okay. He was tired from their travels to the grove, and this day as he sat in the den, watching the rain fall, he felt happy just to have company this time. He smiled, nodding, licking her muzzle.* Stupid is, as Stupid does. If they try, well..then we have a name for them. *chuckles*
Larka: -laughs and rolls herself over onto her back- I remember when the ran used to come down and I would have to scramble looking for a place to hide from it all, be it under trees or their roots, any sort of den I could find...but those were some of the best time to me, sometimes I didn't even mind the ran because it was so hot where I was that it felt better to have a heavily soaked pelt than to pant yourself to death.
Torrent- *He looked at her and cocked his head. He couldnt imagine having to run from the elements each and every day. He would have hated that, and he could feel his heart breaking slightly for her, whether she said she liked it or not. He was happy he could give her a safe home..and she could give him the love the male had always truly wanted.* Soaked pelt is good, when you havesomewhere dry to go.. Its no fun if its chilly and you have a soaked pelt. *he replied with concern.*
Larka: Well no, a soaked pelt in the coak is no fun...but the wolves far to the north, their pelts are so thick they look twice the size of your average wolf in the winters! Here by the ocean it only gets so cold, the snow is beautiful but it bites at your feet as you walk and some wolves are so white they disappear into the vast sea of white! -closing her eyes she rememberd the family who had allowed her to stay with them for a while, one of them her pelt had been as white as newly fallen slow all but for the mark as black as night on her neck, while her mate was her absolute opposite, they had been so kind-
Torrent- *Had never been out around the mountains where the wolves had such thick pelts. He watched her as she spoke, and was intrigued by the idea of such heavy pelted wolves. He smiled, nodding.* Must have been interesting! I can honestly say Ive never seen such a thing. *He mused, far too happy that he lived in the warmth near the ocean*
Larka: I love the warmth so much better and the ocean, but i saw game up there that you would never see down here! Such large beasts that take at least four or five large wolves to take them down and could feed an entire pack for days! Maybe one day someone I met on my travels will come to visit me and then you can meet them! There was a mated couple that I met that were very kind, and such odd names and the female wore two-legger metals on her head and paws, her mate stole something from them as well that she wore around her neck with a stone in it as black the darkness in the thickest of forests at night! -she loved this, telling Torrent about her travels, but there was so much to tell it would take her many moons to tell him eveyrthing, but she thought about it, bringing back the memories looking for a good one to share with him in it's whole-
Torrent- *Listened intently, his eyes gleaming at the idea of something different out there. Large beasts? He wondered if they were as large as the deer that the wolves here had to tae down. He supposed they would have to be bigger, as a good wolf or two could bring down a decent sized doe. He nodded, listening and trying to think about what it would be like out there. He disliked the snow in winter, so he knew that the mountains were no place for him..but the adventure in the idea was amazing.* That sounds amusing. Why would anyone want to mess with two leggers I wonder..*he mused to himself.* Do you have any more stories of your travels?
Larka: Oh yes, lots of stories! But really, the Two-leggers are very interesting...I hung around a small group of them for a while. They had an old woman that could do some of the most amazing things I'd ever seen. -squeezing her eyes shut she brought back up the images in her head- They could control fire and keep it contained and they burned their meat over them on sticks...but this woman...oh she would throw powders into the fire and it would rise up at her will and change colors!
Torrent- *wasnt sure how he felt about humans being able to thrown able to throw fire, and he put his earsĀ back but flicked em back up when he grew interested.* How did you get so close to her? *he asked, nervous for the safety of his mate.*
Larka: Well I was still pretty young then...but I never let myself get too close, they lived in the wood as well but in a large clearing so I was able to watch from the safety fo the trees. But it was so amazing what she could do, and the scent of burning the meat was absolutely delicious, a few times some scraps were throw aside and I was about to sneak them in the night. They weren't too bad, a little chewy though. -she began a salivate slightly at the thought, she wished she could better explain to Torrent what she had seen without him being so fearful-
Torrent- *felt his own mouth salivate at the thought of the meat. Of course he didnt know how he felt about cooked meat. Though it made his stomach churn, and the rain coming down outside made it impossible to get a meal for the moment. He felt his belly growl, and grinned at Larka.* I think that maybe my stomach like the sounds of that.
Larka: -she laughed and lifted her head to lick his maw- Maybe soon the rain will slow and we can get something to eat. -rolling over she forced herself to sit up and look out to the continued sheet of white as the dull roar of the rain eched through the den and as she watch lightning stuck and the crack of thunder rolled through the land and into the den pressing against them and the walls, but she didn't move, she was safe with Torrent there was no need to fear it-
Torrent- *smiles and leans into her, nosing her muzzle with a soft whine.* Then we shall get a meal fit for champions. *chuckles, and wags his tail. Hopefully it would let up here shortly.. He was beginning to feel the lull of hunger.* So what other stories have you to tell me?
Larka: -nuzzles back against him- What about the time they caught me! That was quite exciting really, I was just a youth at the time...and oh I was so worried they were going to skin me alive. But instead they tied me up to one of their dens and fed me. I didn't try to bite any of them though...I know they would have killed me had I done that. But the little ones were actually quite funny, just like awkward pups they would come up as close as they dared and run back to the others screaming with laughter!
Torrent- *eyes widened andĀ he cocked his head. She should have been terrified! Absolutely terrified! He shook his head, and snorted al ittle. He may have been a good guy, but he hated humans.. If only because he hated running frmo them in their missions into his woodlands.* You are very very brave..I cant say I would have done the same.
Larka: Well...like I said I was young, I was almost fearless back then and I couldn't complain when they fed me so well, but eventually one day they just let me go. I honestly don't know why, but for a few moments I hesitated in doing so, but I knew if I did I would be no better than a tamed dog and be a disgrace to what I am. -the rain then began to slow faintly and the outside world came into view bit by bit, though the rain still came down it wasn't the same downpour it had been before- Look Torrent! The rain is slowing at last!
Torrent- *grins and jumps up to his feet, tail wagging like crazy. He was ready to go run and play and mess around. He could even jump in the puddles, and dirty up their pelts. He wagged an eyebrow and barked.* Ill beat you to the river. *chuckles and takes off.*
