This is our town. It is where the Guardians live and perhaps work. It is where the Heralds now call home.
It is also where a Herald may discover he or she is not the only one of its kind; or where Mortals and Demons may run into one another at the supermarket. Altogether, it is like every other smallish town, and yet not like them at all.
THE RESIDENTS:
::Sarielle:: The traditional Japanese house sprawls beneath the leaves of the wood, low and square. Sarielle had rented it from a friend; she had not been at all certain she would feel comfortable with the paper walls, gleaming floors and sparsely furnished rooms; but now it felt like home. A small courtyard lay hidden within the four walls, with a healthy, if a bit wild, garden, and a covered porch runs unbroken around every side of it. Taka lives in this house as well. Sarielle is her guardian.
::Lady Vincira:: Vincira's house is like...that one house on the outskirts of town that scares people. -snerk-
::Azruael:: It's located in a town near this one...where the center is a bar. As for much of anything else, well, not much in the town. You could say the home is a town house of sorts, or built like one, since it's narrow inside. At the end of a row of buildings/houses is where his is situated, a depression in the others. It's a sort of...rusty-reddish color. Anyway, the door (with a frosted, square window on the right side's length and a small one situated at the top of the door...) is beneath a flat porch, so if one goes under it, they'd be pretty well protected from the rain, snow, falling demons... However, leaving it would put you on the narrow sidewalk out front, near the road. And people don't know how to drive seeing as they're drunk most of the time. Yep. 'Cept for Azruael. He can hold his liquor. If you open the door - God forbid - you enter a tiny foyer, and RIGHT before you, to the right, will be a narrow staircase with a carved wooden railing; that, of course, leads upstairs. To the left of that is a hallway that leads to the kitchen. Alexei also lives here. Azruael is his guardian.
::Suboshi-sama:: It is a somewhat large-ish, two-story building placed at the very edge of a forest, a good deal away from a town. There is a porch with a bench-swing and several walking chairs attached to the front of the house, and the back 'porch' is merely a few steps leading into the forest. The yard is slightly overgrown (as people tended to give up on it after awhile because everything kept on growing back rather quickly) and a vast majority of the houses outer walls are covered in vines. A bit of a ways into the outer part of the forest is a large pond filled with all sorts of fish, and various people/creatures can be seen relaxing around it. At the very back of the backyard is an old, decrepit, and rusty playset, which has nearly been over-run by the forest. The forest looks like a perfectly nice place, and it is. Untill you reach the inner part of the forest, that is (about 1 mile or so into it, depends on where you enter). Once a person has passed that boundary, an ominous presence surrounds them, and there is the perpetual feeling of being watched. All of those who live at Subo's house who can speak will advise you to never go in the forest without one of them with you. Others just try to push/drag people away...for within the forest lies a mysterious and mystical people that do NOT like intruders. Aethelind also lives here. Suboshi-sama is his guardian.
::Crying Blood:: A decent sized log cabin, just big enough to keep a hyper little angel and Blood cozy but not cramped, tucked away into the forest, a good fair amount away from town. Its not to far away from a field with some ruins in it (Where Shayna was found) but at the same time far enough to be well hidden. There is a dirt path leading away from the house that fades into grass again about 10 feet away. There is also a small old well outside in the front yard (just a small yard) and a stack of logs for the fireplace (which means there is a chimney) leaning against the back of the house. Shayna lives with Blood. Blood is her guardian.
::Eamane:: Blood's partner, she shares the cabin for now.
::EchoLimaFoxtrot:: The house was a little withdrawn from the town. It was one story with a protected porch -for watching storms-. There were quite a few rooms: kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bathrooms, and 2 bedrooms. A furnished basement was also included. Inside the house was an international-type and archeological feel, with artifacts and art from around the world. In the front was a flower garden, a vegetable garden in the back along with a cherry and apple tree. Perhaps the most noticeable thing in the backyard was the plane hangar where an airplane and glider were housed, and the small airplane paved runway with a criss-crossing grass runway.
::Owle Isohos:: Owle has no house. She doesn't even live in this town at the moment, but in Barton; she rents a room at Washu's Subspace Saloon. As you approach the saloon it appears to be no bigger then a 2-car garage but once you pass through the front door the interior is over 15 times that size. The whole interior is decorated to have the look and feel of an old west saloon but is made of more modern (unbreakable) materials. On the back wall taking up over half the wall is the bar. Scattered randomly in the middle of the room is 4 person round tables. And along the front wall is booths. There is an old burlesque stage to the left with couches and chairs facing the stage. To the right is the game area with pool tables, darts, poker and slots. Above the bar is the owners office, There is also of course restrooms for the patrons and an employee locker area. There are two doors on the back wall that no one seems to be able to open. Toward the back of the saloon is a staircase, which leads to a hallway full of room's. The third door to the right belongs to Owle. The room is sparsely furnished, having only a bed, a dresser with mirror perched above it, a night table, and a desk with a chair. All the furniture is wooden, and has a very functional appearance. A simple lamp rests on the nighttable. A porcelain doll dressed in a torn kimono, a small burlap bag, and various coins and trinkets are strewn about atop the dresser. Various notebooks and writing implements rest on top of the desk. There is a small closet in the back on the left hand side, which contains only four sets of clothing, plus a few outfits that have been thrown on the floor. A cardboard box lined with a big pink sweater sits on the floor near Owle's bed. The name Verde is written across the box in green permanent marker. Owle is Rand's guardian.

Taka peered eagerly in through the window, nose pressed against the glass. Sarielle watched in amusement, lulled by the cool breeze enticingly beckoning from the icecream shop as the warm, rich scent of vanilla followed it.
Taka's large blue eyes pleaded limpidly for permission. "Go on," Sarielle said with a small chuckle. "I just have to make a quick stop next door, so be deciding what you want."

Eamane pushed her thick black hair out of her eyes as she walked along the street lost in thought. She didn't even see the little Herald standing in front of the ice cream shop until she stumbled and fell into her.
The tiny elf blinked "oh!...I'm so sorry" she gave Taka a worried look "Are you alright?"

A young woman walked down the street, looking as though she was very, very lost. The gentle breeze teased her long auburn hair, prodding it into a state of even further messiness. Her round, curious brown eyes were glazed, staring off into space; it seemed a wonder that she managed to avoid the obstacles in her path, as she spared them nary a glance.
The left sleeve of her nice red work shirt dangled empty at her side, slapping against her worn denim jeans as she walked. It wasn't that her arm was elsewhere - it was missing entirely. She appeared to have a left shoulder, but a few inches downward and the sleeve was flat and formless.
Her other unusual feature was poking out of her hair, barely visible in the tangled auburn mess. Just above her shoulder blades emerged a clump of tiny brown feathers, looking as though they were part of a wing even smaller than Owle's right hand.
The sound of laughter to her left turned Owle's head, and the sight of wings similar to her own brought her eyes into focus upon them. For a while she stopped and stared rather rudely, then looked up at the child's face...or the back of her head as the case may have been by then.
"Hello," Owle said loudly.
((Didn't see Ea's post...oh, well, Owle's so spaced out she wouldn't have noticed, anyway. sweatdrop ))

Subo was not happy. Stomping down the street angrily she muttered curses under her breath at life, the world, and everything. WHY did everyone have a sudden craving for donuts, and WHY did they make her go get it? "Raaarrrhhg!" she she screamed quietly while waving her fists around. 'Caeldeh has FOUR arms. That's TWICE the amount of donuts that I could carry! Why not send him...her...it....why not send Caeldeh?!?!' she thought angrily to herself. Stopping suddenly and looking around, Subo realized that she was lost. Very lost. Not a donut store in sight. Sigh, So, after a quick wallow in lost misery, she walked over to a person who seemed to LOOK like she knew where she was. Heaven knows that Subo didn't. "Uhm...excuse me?" she said, tapping on a red shirt-clad shoulder.

Sarielle opened her mouth just a split second too late to stop Eamane from bumping into her young charge. It was also a split second after a loud voice just to her left called out a strident "hello." She turned her attention away from Ea; she was very petite anyways, and could do little harm.
Taka stumbled a little, and let out a very girly gasp, before politely assuring Eamane that she was alright. She did not seem to have heard the greeting.
((S'okay, we'll just run w/ it ^^))

Owle, easily distracted as ever, turned around as she felt a tap on her shoulder. She met the culprit's eyes, then looked her up and down, trying to remember if she'd ever seen this person before. Nope, definitely hadn't. So...why was this person tapping her?
"Yes?" Owle asked.

Eamane nodded and smiled "oh good." Then she laughed "not like a little thing like me could hurt you much or course" she looked down at her 5 foot figure and winked at the herald. She shook her hair out of her eyes again "going for ice cream too? it's my very favorite treat!" she giggled a very childish sound
((where's Blood when i need her... I'm not sure if I know Shayna and therefore now about Taka))

"Oh, uhm, I was just wondering if you know of a place that sells donuts around here..." she said, trailing off as she took in her surroundings. Ice cream. People. ......Yup. She turned her attention back to the person she was talking to and tilted her head slightly. "See, I know there's one around here somewhere......it just....doesn't like me and is hiding.." she said, wrinkling her nose slightly.

"Donuts?" Owle asked. "Here?" she asked. Her eyes peered around her, as though expecting a donut shop to be lurking in the shadows somewhere.
She shook her head slowly when she was done. "I don't know. I'm not really sure where I am...if you want I could try looking from the air. Do you know what it looks like?"

((Well, Ea, you do at least know Sari, right? So you decide if you know about Taka or not. ^^))
Taka gazed at Ea curiously. "No, you're much smaller than Sari is," she commented, while Sarielle good-humoredly made a face.
"Thanks," she muttered, deliberately taking it the wrong way with a wink at Eamane. "I haven't seen you in ages Ea! How have you been? Taka, this is Eamane, who sent you your bunnie."
At the mention of it, Taka's eyes lit up, and she dove for Sarielle's shopping bag, producing it somewhere from the mysterious depths. It had large patches stained by dirt, and all the hair had nearly been rubbed off one ear, but Taka hugged it with rapturous delight.

"Uhm...wel...it looks like...a building.." she said, "And...uh....no, I really dont know what it looks like. Too distracted by the smells of the yummy, delicious, gooey, warm, donuts to pay attention to the building really..." ...Waitwaitwait. "From the air?" she asked, tilting her head to the side even more.

Sarielle overhead a phrase that caught her ear: "from the air." Naturally, since Taka, Sarielle was a bit concerned that the child would be out of place; and also unusually interested in anything that had to do with flight.
She said nothing, but listened intently.

((*face palm* i knew that))
Eamane laughed at the serious little girl and winked at Sari "heylo! long time no see." she spoke with a soft lilt in her voice betraying the fact english wasn't her first language. She continued to watch Taka as she dug through Sari's bag and produced the bunny.
"oh my, he certainly looks loved!" she said to Taka.

"Umm...yeah," Owle said, suddenly feeling uncomfortable. No one had ever really made a big deal about her wings before...then again, she kept strange company.
She spun around, so that Subo was looking at her from the side...coincidentally, this meant Sari got a good view of her back. Owle pulled her hair away to one side, revealing two tiny, brown feathered wings, little larger than her palm.
"From the air," Owle repeated, flexing her wings a little for effect.
