Surrounding area of Gotham

[Sapphire Spider]

These are the areas that surround downtown Gotham. They are still a part of Gotham, just...not as big. Smaller areas that don't see as much excitement as the downtown area.

Gwen & Kitty... and Kong

They'd been wandering around for hours. By now they were both lost and exhausted. So...the three teenagers sat down at a bus stop that looked like it was in a bit of a safe zone. This WAS Gotham after all...not being in well-lit public places was a bad thing. ...Heck, being in well-lit public places was sometimes just as unlucky.

The boy with the shaven head sat beside a girl with wavy brown hair and had his arm wrapped around her. The other girl, with blond hair and a style all her own, sat leaning against the side of the kiosk.

"So....what do we do now?" Kong asked...though it was more speaking out loud than an actual question.

"Dunno." Gwen replied. "Safe to say neither of us know our way around Gotham that well."

"Never into the comics enough to make a road map or anything." Kitty huffed, leaning against Kong.

{Enter Hit Girl and Doctor Octopus from Arkham Asylum}

Hit Girl just kept driving. Did Doc Ock even know what the hell he was looking for? What was with that bit of paper he kept staring at?

Octavious kept one part of his attention on the girl, one part on the note, and the other part scanning out the window for the landmarks the paper had listed as well as street names. They hadn't come across any so far.

'If you can't find anything, and I KNOW you don't know your way around Gotham, then simply be on the look out for one of three things;
The Toddler's Toy Box ~ a closed down factory with it's title and logo eating half of the building. Can't miss it. Huge building with a giant cartoon baby in a diaper.
Sadie's Dine and Dash ~ a fairly tall building with bright red neon running down the side of it.
Andy's Arcade ~ large building with gaudy lights all over the place. Obvious arcade and gaming building.

Stop inside one of those places and there will be further instructions for a more...indulgent conversation of peers.

"....are you anywhere from around this area?" Otto asked, keeping his eyes out the window.  

[Elesariin]

Hit Girl snorted humorlessly. "No."  

[Sapphire Spider]

Otto frowned a bit and continued scanning the streets. He'd have to hope for the best then. "Then I assume you're from one of the other worlds that didn't merge." Unless she kept a very un-public profile, he doubted she was from New York. He'd certainly never seen someone like her in the news.

Soon he spotted a rather large factory building finally coming into view. It looked like there had been something painted on the side of the building, but they were still to far for him to make out what it was. Part of the paint had been destroyed thanks to weathering as well it looked like. What he could make out though, was a large unrealistic baby painted next to the words.

"There." Octavious said, indicating the building.  

[Elesariin]

Hit Girl stopped the truck, put it in park, and gave him a very deadpan sort of look. "Can I go, now?" She wasn't responding to the bit about where she was from. Worlds? Worlds merging? That happened in comic books, but... then... why was she here?

"I see no reason why not." Octavious replied, his metal arm undoing his seat belt and opening the door of the truck to slide himself out of. The child could obviously take care of herself, and she had helped him escape that place. He really had no further need of the girl. She'd be more trouble than she was worth as a hostage anyway.

[Enter Nightshade from Xavier's Institute]



From a shadow near the truck, Nightshade emerged, staying very quiet and remaining hidden within the shadows beside a number of large crates. From that position, he spied Doctor Octavius and Hit Girl -- observing what was transpiring.

"I hope Spider-man kicks your pasty a**," she muttered, getting out of the van and shutting the door behind her with unnecessary force before stalking off.  

[Skuld HJG]

Confusion filled Des' mind as he saw that display, That was unexpected.

Staying in his current position, Nightshade watch Hit Girl stomp away from the truck and waited to see what would happen next. The priorty was the girl, of course. If Octavius pursued the girl, then he'd deal with it. If not, he'd shadow the girl.

Octavious' internal response was to grab the girl with his deadly arms and give the insufferable arachnid a REASON to come 'kick his a**'.
The intellectual response, however, was to simply let that remark grudgingly roll off his shoulder and carry on with what he needed to do. It wasn't that he didn't think he couldn't take the girl on. Oh, no. Far from it. He just...well to be frank wasn't in the mood to toy with the child. He wanted to get this over with and get back on his feet. He could easily find the child again at some later point.

With that, he turned with a slight grunt and headed towards the old factory.

((And you know she would, too. Broken ribs and all. Vicious child is vicious.))

Hit Girl walked exactly ten more steps. Then she slipped into a side alley, quickly shot a grapple-line up to the top, and slipped along the top of the roof after the good doctor, quiet and small as a particularly violent little mouse. She wanted to see what the deal with this was, and THEN she'd go get her ribs taken care of. Octavious was obviously here for a reason, and she was betting that it would pay off if she could figure out what that reason was.

Unaware that he was being followed, Octavious wandered over towards a locked door that seemed to be fairly rusted. A metal arm easily disposed of the old lock and opened the door. The metallic screech echoed throughout the lightless building, and no other sound returned.
Otto grimaced as he looked around the dark building. There didn't appear to be anyone here. And the building was exceptionally dark. He wouldn't be surprised if this was some sort of trap.

The second he thought the word trap, every light in the building suddenly burst to life, as if years of abandonment had been nothing more than 'closed for the night'.
The villain jerked back a bit out of reflex and his metal arms snaked around him as he waited for his eyes to adjust.
Finally, his eyes came to rest on a table sitting dead center of the large room. In the center of that....was another note.

Peering in the dirty skylight, through a compact, high-tech pair of night-vision binoculars, Hit Girl peered at the note as well. If only she'd been staring through the scope of a sniper rifle. Well, no point in bitching about it.

((She's got a knife. A little one. That's it. No ammo, no guns, no grenades, and certainly no flamethrower. She sort of used everything up right before she was transported in. If you ever see the movie, I bet you'll be able to pick out the spot. ... Actually, that's a lie: she picked up two pistols from the security guards at Arkham. Still, no biggie.))
