One's wandering of the forest may bring them out of the dark and into the light once more. This clearing is somewhere along the middle of these woods and holds an air of gentle sweetness. The grass is tall enough to brush just past one's ankles in a ticklish fashion, the flowers that sprinkle in between the lush green varies from specie to specie, but whether this vast selection of floral decoration is work of a certain mortal or just a wonder of nature and wind is for the individual to decide. Regardless, there is a delightful mix of smells here that some may find dizzying, while others will delight in it. Rabbits, groundhogs, and several other critters can be found lazing about here, somehow secure despite the open sky threatening them from above. The largest beast one may see is a deer hopping her way through or one of the wild horses enjoying nature's pasture. While strolling through, either taking this destination for a picnic or simple moment of contemplation, the wind will seem to whisper past one's ears. This eerie, yet calming sound draws the eyes towards a shrine standing humbly in the center. Here, we give worship to the Wind Fairy and it's past followers.

『 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Cid ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 』 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 』 Cid arrived early at the field, and made sure that the shrine was kept in good condition. He then took his hat off and placed it on the top of the shrine, to prevent it from being damaged by the water. The young monk then sat down on the floor next to it to meditate, letting the cold water hit him. He would much rather he know that the fairy is being kept dry than he would like himself.
/This post will be edited with Cid's exit at the end of the day
After a long day of meditation and keeping the fairy company, Cid stood back up, took his hat back and apologized to the shrine for having to leave it. The young monk then left the shrine once paying his respects. He walked away from the field, it was late at night by now, so he wanted to head to a safe place to sleep for the night...

Where was Keith..? Well, Keith was busy doing his ******** job! The lazy a*****e! He grunted something out as the teenager headed out of the forest into the clearing, nearly tripping over a gopher or groundhog or whatever-the-hell-dug-hole's hole. They were supposed to go shroom hunting in the woods since that was the only good thing about being in the middle of nowhere – no other addicts to screw up the gathering. He'd heard somewhere that you could find shrooms out in the forest or any place that didn't have a block of cement over it, hence why he even knew where to look. Not that they didn't have enough money to ship some, but it would be better if they could find some on their own for free and spend their cash on s**t they couldn't find – like speed. Yeah, he really ******** loved speed, but pot and cocaine was something that Conor and Keith loved together, so they usually just went with that s**t.
But, now, they had a choice between speed and shrooms or some combination of the two. If he found shrooms, they got more speed, yeah? Or that was how he figured it. But, finding a mushroom in a goddamned forest wasn't as easy as it sounded! Especially alone! Because Keith couldn't ditch his job to hunt in the woods – ******** probably knew it would be this damned hard and left Conor to do it on his own! Or he really liked his work more than Conor knew.. He shrugged and, after heading a few feet into the field, went on his hands and knees. The grass was tall, so it was easier to look through it for a mushroom this way. So, Conor went to crawling through the field, pushing aside grass for anything that could resemble a mushroom.. or at least was smokeable, this was starting to really freaking piss him off.

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ Today was... a day to walk around. Blaire had gotten a bit stumped in her compositions, and thought a little walk would help. It would've, if she wasn't going around with her headphones and music player in her pocket. At some point she got bored and put them on, loosing herself in a song. Soon enough the girl would herself in the fields, she didn't mind, since it had been a while since she was last here. Damn it, her cell phone was buzzing again. Lucas! Dear God! He was worse than an overprotective brother! And damn was Chris overprotective! She ignored the call, knowing it must've been because he was bored. That's what sucked sometimes about having few friends on the island. But forget that, now for some nice, relaxing walking, hoping to- Yeah train of thought broken. Blaire didn't keep her eyes on the grass, so she didn't notice someone on his hands and knees searching around... and didn't realize it until her boot had made contact with his side and she tripped over the guy. Who knew it was Conor though? "The hell was that?" mumbled the girl opening her eyes to realize her glasses were also at some point in the grass. Greaaat. She wasn't blind without them, but she liked to have them on at all times.

It was doubtful whether it being summer was a good thing or not for Conor, since the grass wasn't wet or cold, but nice and warm, welcoming, even.. Though. It was freaking hot. What the ********?! He was sweating already now that the trees weren't shading him and it had only been a few minutes! He scowled, but he was a pretty driven druggie, as most addicts were, so he persisted regardless of the weather. In fact, this was.. making him remember his childhood. Playing in the grass with the sun beating on his back.. He kinda understood why he always had a hat on him and why he stuck near the river or beach more often then not. Nirvani could get ******** hot during the summer! This was worse than the city – which shouldn't be possible with all that pollution and s**t, or so he thought, but.. either way! It was ******** hot!
He pushed aside some grass as he shuffled forward, before stilling altogether to pant. He really wished he had a bottle of water or had stopped at that stream or lake or some s**t.. This was ******** painful! From his head, to his back, to his – side? He raised his brows and grit his teeth as a sharp pain directed at his left side hit him. It wasn't so bad, but he didn't expect that in the ******** least! He groaned and rubbed at it, slowly sitting up to turn and – oh, ********, s**t, crap, what?
“BLAIRE?” He gaped and hopped up to his feet, brushing dead grass and thistles off of his clothes nervously, red from both the heat and.. something else. He looked at her on the ground and frowned, “Er, what – why are you..? Where's Lucy?” He bit out after stuttering for a moment, crossing his arms. Yeah, where was the sissy blond? Thought the two were still clinging to eachother tighter than twins! Attached at the hip or some s**t – oh. Wait, she was on the ground..? He dropped his scowl to hurriedly lean over and yank her up, “Er, sorry – no, wait, uh..” Why should he apologize?! But, he still felt.. He glanced around. No Keith to see him and freak out. Safe. “..You okay?”

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ Ow. Well wasn't that voice familiar? Conor. He was tall right now. Wait she was still in the ground-or not. There went her balance... Come on! Who yanked people up like that? Blaire shook her head slightly and absentmindedly looked around. Damn it... where did those glasses fall? And her headphones... Nope those were tangled around her boot. "..Yeah I'm fine" replied the girl finally, looking up at the other. He was still tall... What? Not her fault he was three quarters of a foot bigger than her. "Should've watched where I was going... then again you don't normally trip over people" she added, bending to untangle her headphones from her leg. "What are you doing out here anyways?" asked Blaire curiously, a small glance up at the male once more. It was pretty refreshing to see her without her glasses.

True, Conor didn't mind the glasses on Blaire, which was unusual for him since he hated glasses, but when she didn't have them on.. It was that much better. Her eyes were clearer, her face much more smooth, and he could just.. see her better. Deep blue.. or was that green? It was a pretty mix between the two, it looked like, but Conor chose to believe it as blue because that suited Blaire way more. He had green eyes, after all – it just.. didn't fit her to have the same eyes that he did. He laughed a bit too much at what she said, nervous and loud in his antics. He licked his lips and shoved his hands in his pockets, scuffing the ground with the toes of his shoes. Yeah.. Okay, play it cool. He was Conor! He could do this! He's talked to hundreds before! ..Though, being on drugs or throwing obscenities at someone didn't count, did they? And he sure as hell wasn't going to offer Blaire a joint to share or start calling her names. He did that enough when he was little. How the two had managed a friendship out of that.. he still had to wonder on it. Speaking on that joint idea, though, maybe Blaire wouldn't mind it..? Plenty of people liked pot and just stuck with that.. He could hook her up and then they could talk, relax, do.. stuff.. It would make being around her a hell of a lot easier, he could say that!
“I was, uh..” 'I was looking for shrooms 'cause I wanted more speed for myself, wanna help?' Nope. Not a good response, Conor, think of something else. So he did. He frowned, looked up at the way too hot sun, then back down at Blaire, wondering why the fair-skinned teen wasn't burning up out here. “I, uh.. I wanted.. to, uh.. take a.. walk.. 'cause.. I haven't been here in a fuc-.. long.. time. We, er, played.. here, right? Like, uh, somewhere.. or maybe not.. It's hot.” He ended awkwardly with a look down at the ground and another kick to the grass. That was the best he could come up with on the spot but, hey, Conor was never known for being a great conversationalist. Whether they had actually played here as kids or not, he wasn't honestly certain. He didn't remember much of his playing here, just that he liked the island before being kicked off of it like yesterday's ******** garbage. He narrowed his eyes slightly with that thought, but a quick look up at Blaire soothed that irritation. Hey, she knew him and that was enough.

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ It had been a long time. To be honest Blaire had missed him a lot, even if he did bully her most of the time, it was kinda... Well it wasn't nice, but once it was gone she missed it. Actually she never knew why he left... "Maybe... We used to go everywhere in the island" replied the girl, looking at the grass around them for a moment. Thinking how weird it was that this part hadn't changed much if any with the years that rolled on by. Truth be told, that thought was to keep her mind off that question... and it did. At least for a few moments, which had kept the two quiet. "Hey Conor... What happened to you?" That hadn't worked... so much for not asking. Ah-screw it she wanted to know. "I mean, you just left back then" Blaire told him, there was more but she wouldn't say it just yet. The teen glanced up at her old friend, he had changed. A lot.

Conor gave a small, broken laugh, “Yeah..” They really did go everywhere – except during the summer! Well, aside from their first summer, but that didn't really count much.. What was he saying? Any day he spent here counted more, especially when they had to do with Blaire! Did he sound like a moron thinking that? Yes! But, it was true! She made them count now and things that he ignored or hated to remember were coming to mind sorta.. fondly. He actually enjoyed thinking about the stupid games they played or when he tried to teach Blaire to fish, which didn't end very well. Mainly because he shoved Lucas into the water halfway through and scared all the fish away. Good times still, though. ..He didn't remember panthers back then, though. Those were new.
Oh! That would be a good thing to say, right?! ********, yeah, he had a conversation now! No more staring around awkwardly for him! He grinned excitedly, but that quickly fell when he heard what she had to say next. 'What happened to you'..? His eyes dragged off to the left. Really. The ******** happened to him? Nothing! He was fine! Just ******** fine – it was them that never freaking left their boxes.. He stopped his thoughts when she clarified. Oh. He nervously laughed, though he doubted it really fit in well. “..You.. don't remember?” He questioned slowly in slight disappointment. Figures, everything couldn't be perfect, he guessed. “The b***h got tired of me and shipped me out to military school. Thought you'd get a post-it or some s**t, but guess not.” He shrugged and stared off to the side, disliking having to explain that.

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ "It's not like we had a chance to... well you didn't say good bye or anything. You just left... or was sent away" said Blaire, keeping her look to the other side. It wasn't her fault! She had been mad at him when he had left without telling her, so... "Besides, she moved after that. Didn't exactly have a way to find out where you were" she added with a frown. Lucas had celebrated that to no avail, but Blaire had actually grown to dislike his previous caretaker for that. She never did keep an eye on the boy... and now that she knew she sent him away, it gave her more reason to dislike her. All right hate her... "So... you're staying for good now?" It'd be nice... it'd be really nice to have him back here. Even if Lucas would go crazy.

Well, of course he didn't say goodbye! What was he supposed to tell her? He was being kicked out for letting a summer friend stab him in the kitchen because 'scars were cool'? Which they still were. He just wasn't that much of an idiot to try it again. He frowned at her – should he tell her he ditched the school after a few months there? ..No, that was probably a bad idea. He didn't mind proclaiming it to the ******** morons still in the school system, but Blaire may think of him badly after that. So, instead, he gave a small nod,
“Yeah..” He paused once he realized just what he had agreed to. Were they staying for good? ********, no! This was a last resort, just some place to keep them alive until they had the money to get back into the city! It still wasn't 'home' and it wouldn't be! But.. he wouldn't mind staying if it meant Bl- Oh. ********, no, no, no! He wasn't.. wasn't thinking like that, right? No, he just thought it would be funny to tell Blaire he was staying and then ditch her again without a word! Yeah, that would be hilarious! That was it! Exactly. He took a breath,
“..Maybe.. Yeah, maybe.” He looked around for a different topic, something to change this so he didn't have to feel bad for not telling her. ..'Feel bad'? ********, Keith was right, he was acting like a freaking pansy. He shook his head and pointed at the shrine, “Hey, didn't think it would, uh, stick around after the hurricane.. It was a hurricane, yeah?” He thought it was. “Didn't think you would still be in this shithole.” He added and winced – ah, ********, did he just call their hometown a shithole? Stupid!

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ He was? Blaire found herself forgetting that little resentment for him leaving and replacing it with a small smile. Why, well... it was nice? That didn't last long. She had to raise an eyebrow at what he said last. "Hurricane. Yeah..." she replied first. Shithole... that was um... "Hey you came back to this shithole" said Blaire in response. It was more of a slight snap, in defense to her hometown. Which led to a small silence before she shrugged. "...It's still my home. Besides Cassie and Chris left, so did my parents. I wasn't going to leave Ellie alone with her kid" explained the teenager. Though it was backwards, Blaire wanted to stay, Ellie just decided to stay with her.

Yeah, that was a bad idea, wasn't it? ********. Conor frowned at himself and considered for that moment to defend his own assumptions on this place, but actually thought against it. That was right – Conor Alvey was thinking before he said something! The first time he's done that since.. since, well, since he was a little kid and trying to scramble for an excuse as to why he couldn't do his homework that week, when he really had just shoved it off to the side to play video games and watch old movies instead. Weird. Instead, he stared at her dumbly until he could think about talking on something else. There had to be something they had in common – why the hell did they play as kids if they didn't? Never mind that people changed and kids would have fun with a rock if they had to, not that he was comparing Blaire to a rock, but that wasn't the point – ugh. See, this was why he didn't like thinking. It was ******** annoying. So many worries and ideas on what her reaction could be, why he wanted to say some s**t, just a bunch of hassles. Then, why was he doing it?
He grinned and replied, “Cassie left, huh? She was a b***h, I remember. ********, cranky as hell, too. Chris wasn't so bad, but he could be a d**k sometimes..” And that, Conor, was why you were thinking. Good job. Why not call her kid a little p***k too while you're at it – hold up. Not her kid? She.. wasn't a mom? Oh, thank god! He laughed in relief, “Holy s**t – so, what, you and Lucy didn't have a kid? ********, Blaire, you had me worried – I thought you were a teenage mom or some s**t when I saw the kid. Who knocked Ellie up, eh?” He asked with a small shove to the girl – ah, this was awesome! So, he still had a ch-? ...Er.. No, no, that wasn't why it was awesome, he just.. didn't.. uh.. He cleared his throat and looked at Blaire for her reply.

____________________________________________________________ - Blaire Vatonage - ____________________________________________________________ Hey! Her siblings weren't-Oh... actually... Who was she kidding? Cassie was a b***h... she really hadn't changed much, though everyone says she was much worse before college so... Chris, he wasn't a d**k per say, just not the best to pit with Conor... or many people. He was just clueless! But that was her family, weird as hell. "Me? With Lucas?" Blaire actually had to laugh at that, not at them together because that... well long story... but the fact of them having a kid! Or that he confused Rune as her daughter. Something made her laugh. "Come on, that's not happening. At all" she said with another chuckle. Though the last question had her quieting down almost instantly. "Ah... a** she met three years ago. Let's just leave it at, she didn't want to" Blaire told him, disliking that topic. It was something hard to discuss at their home. Even now they worried for when the infant grew up and began to ask. However that mood didn't last long before Blaire noticed something. The shifts in the winds, that were pretty strong now was worrisome, and so that drizzle that was starting. "Um Conor? It's... We should go" But where? They were in the middle of the fields damn it!

See, again, this was why he was thinking around Blaire. Conor's face fell when he saw her laughter cease at his latest question. He shouldn't have asked. It was stupid of him, really – why did he even want to know? Was it important? No! If Blaire thought he should know, she would have told him, he didn't need to barge right on in and ask! He chided himself angrily, even forgetting his ego for that moment in favor of remembering that he didn't want to screw this up again. He liked seeing her chuckling, the idea of her seeing him and saying his actual name and not some pseudo he had to get by. But, her reacting like that to what he said? Worst ******** feeling ever. He shifted to searching for something else for them to talk about, when it started to rain. He didn't know if he should be glad that the weather gave him an answer or what, but he knew he needed to get the hell out of the rain and fast. What the hell was up with the weather? First it was ******** hot as hell, now it was suddenly raining cats and dogs? He shook his head and looked at Blaire,
“Uh, yeah – where..?” He muttered out with a look around. They were in the middle of the forest! Where could they go? He didn't remember – oh. He raised an eyebrow as he stared across the field to where the forest started again. He remembered that! He did! ********, yeah! “C'mon, there's the.. er.. that one place! With the ******** tall walls and s**t!” Bravo description! Oh, well, he was trying was the point. He grinned broadly and took Blaire by the hand, pulling her carelessly along with him to that slim separation of trees. He barely even noticed he was holding her hand, taking to it like he had when he was a child and dragging her along to wherever he pleased.
