There's a Time to Laugh "Ephesians 2: 8-9"
In society today it is so easy for us as woman to pick up a magazine, book, or even look at the TV and see the "worlds" view on what a woman should look like: That she must be flawless in appearance without a inch of fat on her bones. And I'm sure it is very easy for us to begin to feel self conscious of how we look, dress, or act.
I am here today to show you a scripture from the bible that may help us to avoid feeling not good enough in our appearance:
1 Peter 3:3-4 "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight"
Discuss:
Do you struggle with moderate to low self esteem?
How does this scripture make you feel?
Do you know of other scriptures that help you to focus on inner beauty then what the world believes?
What are some things that make you feel beautiful?
And a Time to Cry "Romans 5: 3-5"
