It's been a interesting few days since Faina appeared in his life and Aryasha was not complaining. She was an enigma to put it concisely and he liked it. Today was going to be another interesting day, he was going to teach her to hunt. Or to be more accurate he was going to help her to remember to hunt since it should be mostly instinctual.
The day was perfect for it; sunny, warm but not hot, a light breeze, and a interesting companion. He looked over at her and couldn't help but smile. At times she was like a cub but at others an adult. She was remarkably strong yet fragile. She truly made him happy, even if he wouldn't admit to himself how happy that was.

Faina didn't feel at all like an adult... She felt as if she really was just some cub... A cub that needed constant supervision and needed to be taken care of. And it secretly killed her on the inside. So when ever she could she tried to learn from her guardian Ary. He really was a rather noble lion, protecting her like that~ watching out for her, and never making fun of her too terribly if she didn't know any better. Though she was certain the parts she liked best, was when night fell, and she could lay next to him. Curled up close. Those were by far the best moments of all in her opinion.
She wondered if in her past, she had been a part of a close pride? One that all slept together in a big pile... She often wondered sometimes if they missed her... And then she wondered if she should take comfort in the fact that somewhere out there, there was someone searching for her... Or whether or not she should feel guilty, that she didn't want to be found. So long as she was with Ary.
She followed him closely, liking the breeze that they had been blessed with for the day. Taking it as a good sign for how the hunt would go today. At one point she moved in a little closer to him, and ran her body up his length, purring out her appreciation for him. With out Ary. She didn't know where she would be right now.

Ary had no inkling of the feelings that swam within Faina all he knew was she needed his help and she made him happy. There was a small little voice that pointed out that she would have to leave on day but that voice was viciously squashed.
When she rubbed up against him he echoed her purr and added a quick nuzzle before stopping and facing her. It was time to begin and see what she 'knew'. "Faina before we begin how about we play a little game of tag. Well a really simple game of tag with hide and seak mixed in." Ary loved playing games and this way he could asses what Faina knew and playing at the same time. "I'm going to sit here and count to five with my eyes closed, you go hide somewhere. I wont move from this spot so when you are ready you have to sneak up on me and tag me." If she agreed to this game Ary could hopefully tell where he needed to help her out. "That is if your ok with loosening up and relaxing before we go out on a serious hunt." He smiled as the light breeze tugged at his mane.

Faina listened to him with an odd intensity; as if everything he was saying might just save her life some day. And who knew~ maybe it would? Hunting was deemed important after all; wasn't it? "A game sounds splendid~" She purred; a large smile on her face. She liked playing with Ary; doing anything with him was sort of like a game really.
She watched the wind tug at his mane for a moment; her eyes sparkling and shimmering as she did so. My wasn't he handsome... She couldn't help but smile to herself; her head going down self consciously. And she'd especially liked it when he'd nuzzled her back. That had been awfully nice~ AH! pay attention! She scolded herself mentally before looking up at him with a slightly questioning look.
"Loosen up?" She asked a teasing tone to her voice. "I am loosened up!" She said raising on her back two legs to flop into him and laugh. "But if we're comparing me to you~ as far as who is the most loose~ I would have to agree that I have quite a bit of... loosening up to do." She joked rolling off of him and onto the dirt.

Ary smiled. He was glad that Faina was up for the game after all he liked playing with her and if the game had useful benefits all the better. He laughed lightly when it seemed that she spaced for a moment. Ary didn't know why but he felt slightly embarrassed, as if he was the one she was spaced out over, something he was not familiar with.
"Yeah because..." He was about to explain about muscles and how it was better to make sure they were warmed up before going on a hunt when Faina rose on her back legs and flopped into him. With a smile he made a exaggerated groaning sound, "Nope I got to say your plenty loose." When she rolled off of him he ponced on her, making sure though that he didn't put his full weight on her. "Ha now I got you." He laughed before he licked her cheek. "So my loose Faina, you ready to play a game?"

Faina squealed when he pounced her and pretended as if she was trying to struggle against him; until he licked her cheek and she stilled. Looking up at him with a happy little smile; small; content. Perfectly at ease with the situation and where she was in life. She raised a paw and pressed it to his cheek tenderly, before batting at him and wriggling away to run before he could catch her.
"TAG!" She screamed lifting her head in a triumphant manner. "YOU'RE IT!" She added in a final statement. As if that meant he was going to stay it, and not get her at all. She picked up her pace; trying to run even faster, not wanting to be caught.
She looked over her shoulder with a sort of terrified thrill running through her. She wondered if this is what prey beasts felt like during a hunt? Probably not though~ since she only didn't want to get caught because that would mean she was it. And the prey beasts didn't want to get caught becuase that would be the end of them.

When Faina yelled tag Ary was a bit bemused, that wasn't really what he meant when he asked if she was ready to play, but with a smile and a shrug he laughed and yelled, "Not for long" and chased after her.
He let her lead him on a merry chase not really caring anymore that they weren't doing anything but playing around. It was fun just being with her. With a laugh he closed the distance and tackled her, being careful to not hurt her. With a smile he said, "Tags" before rolling off her and skipping a few feet away. Waiting to see if she would chase after him.

Faina was excited that she was out running him; even if he was just letting her. When he flopped onto her and made her fall she let out a bit of an oof and looked up at him with a big stupid smile. She liked playing with him; she liked just being near him; it was always so much easier that way. When he moved away from her she rolled to her feet and stood up to shake out the dirt on her pelt before trotting towards him; not really caring whether he moved away or not, trying to look him in the eyes the entire time. Trying to stare him down; to make him stay in once place. In short, to mesmerize him.
"Ary... When I learn how to hunt... and to take care of myself. Will you leave me?" She asked; not wanting him to see how she felt about the whole situation. Not wanting him to be affected by what she wanted. And to be honest... She wanted him to hold her close and never let go. To tell her he'd be by her side alway... And then after that; teach her how to hunt.

Ary watched as Faina rolled to her feet and shook the dirt out, the pale dust rising from her dark fur like smoke from a fire. He saw her trotting right at him but he still didn't move. Something in him said that she wasn't playing anymore. Maybe it was the eye contact, maybe it was her body movement, or it might have even been something that Ary just picked up.
He stared right back at her so when she asked her question his answer was automatic, "No." Ary didn't even have to think about it. When Faina learned to hunt and take care of herself he would still be there for her. Only if she wanted him to go would he go. "The only way you could get rid of me is by telling me to get lost yourself." and please dont ever do that. He mentally added as he took the last few steps between them and licked her cheek before nuzzling her. "Never my shining star, never."

Faina felt a large lump in her stomach of nervousness when he pressed forward and licked her cheek and nuzzled her like that. She pressed into him sweetly and moved her head happily into his shoulder. "I won't do that." She told him sweetly; almost a whisper. Too afraid that she was dreaming... Too afraid that maybe tomorrow she would wake up and remember everything.
She lifted up one of her paws and wrapped it around his neck, sitting up slightly as she did so. "You're my knight in furry armor." She told him sweetly; nosing at him in a loving manor. "I could never want you to get lost... Becuase you saved me when I was lost." She was ever grateful to him for that. But that wasn't why she was giving him this affection, it was becuase over the past few short days; he's made her feel happy and safe and loved. And she wanted to keep on feeling those things with Ary there in her life. She wouldn't say love, not yet. But she was certain that this was what it felt like.

Ary didn't know what to say. Nothing he could come up with sounded right in his head so he did the only thing he could think of, resting his head on her shoulder and saying softly, "You were never really lost because I was here, even before we knew each other."
It was true. Since meeting Fainia late one night Ary had a growing feeling that he had known her his whole life, like she was apart of his soul that reappeared. It was odd since Ary tried not to rush into anything, well except when he was messing around, so this feeling of belonging threw him off his stride a bit. Thought not enough for him to show it, just enough for him to not say it out loud because what if she did not feel the same?

Faina smiled wide at that thought. And nodded her head hitting his lightly in a sort of bop. "I like that." She told him purring at the feel of him against her; nuzzling her head into his chin and throat. She blushed deeply under her black fur and smiled purring, keeping herself there. Moving her body with her head in place to press up against him; her tail reaching for his own to intertwine them together.
"I think..." She started out but stopped... Biting at her lower lip and hiding her face in his mane. "I think I'd like to be your mate." She whispered to him. Loud enough for him to hear, but low enough that if he didn't want to hear it; he could pretend he hadn't. But why shouldn't they be mated?
Ary was strong; and loving and sweet and kind... And Faina... Well... Maybe she didn't have as much to offer yet; but she would! She would learn to hunt and she wouldn't be such a burden for him. And he'd already told her that he wasn't going to leave her... So why shouldn't they be mates?
And she was certain that the reason why her spirits always seemed to soar when ever Ary smiled wide at her, or complimented her, or touched her at all was becuase of some deeper feelings for him. It was only right that they should be mated.

Ary was speechless. What did one say to that? He wanted to say yes but how could he say it so she would understand the depth of his feelings. A simple yes could not do that. With a smile he shifted so he could look her in the eyes. "Yes. A hundred times yes, a million times yes, always yes." With his heart in his throat he said the one thing that he wanted to say but was too afraid to say, "Faina I love you and no mater what happens I will always love you. If you want to be mates then it is just a name for what I already feel for you. You are my lady, my star, my love." He nuzzled her then gave her a quick lick, hoping that he articulated what he meant clearly.

Faina gave a delighted squeal as she nuzzled into him; pouncing on him and rubbing all over him, purring to him and licking him all over. "I love you~ I love you~ I love you~" She whispered to him wrapping her whole body around him in a childish way, her tail flopping around in a happy manner. She was so excited that he was her's and that she was his. She wanted to go shout it from the rock tops. She slowed her movements against him and look up at him with big, wide, innocent eyes. "Ary.. does this mean..." She started to whisper. "Does this mean that we'll be able to have cubs together?" She asked with a small smile on her face, she was certainly blushing under all of her thick fur. "Because I would... I would like to start a family with you." She told him honestly.

Ary was pleased at Faina's reaction, she really felt the same way about him as he did about her just in a more of a outgoing way. He laughed softly before nuzzling her. "Hum?" He looked at her then her question sank in. Cubs? "Well, yes, I guess if we want." He had not actually thought of the prospects of cubs. He did want them but it didn't occur to him that by loving Faina they could eventually have cubs. A family! "And, I, you Faina. You would make such a wonderful mother. And I would be so proud to be the father of your cubs." He gave her a quick lick on the cheek. It didn't occur to him that she might mean having cubs now versus later after all they had just found each other and he wanted more time alone with her.
