In the middle of the desert there is something that appears to be an incomplete statue that was abandoned and left for nothing. However, it looks as if a group of people have settled into the large cave that was the statue's foundation, even to the point that there are several passed out drunk men at the opening "guarding" the hideout. Though, the cave is known to have many catacombs as well as arena style open spaces that were once a training ground for young genin. Watch your step there are still traps here!

Rekin Wolfblade Rekin stayed with the group mostly, He saw the cave and nodded to himself and the others. With a quiet whisper he again activated his Genkai, Luckily he had the full hour to re-charge it. What ever was awaiting them, He could at least be fast enough to avoid it, And with his Chakra armor possibly even protect some people in the process. Rekin squinted in the distance and pointed. "Tracks...It seems they have not been here long. In this weather you would think they would disappear after...five or ten minutes...We should hurry."

-------------- Kazeryu Akira -------------- "Even the most gentle wind Can become a great hurricane" "Well, it seems like we've made it to the enemy camp..."Akira knew they weren't exactly going against a trained fighting force here, but he still had to shake his head at the enemy hideout. It was far from hidden, and though it may have been defensible, the people out front didn't seem conscious, let alone alert. Akira didn't see the cart or the woman they were supposed to save yet. These guys didn't look ready for them, so hopefully they'd retain the element of surprise. Akira knew that these guys had spared Akeru, so if they had the chance he was willing to show them some mercy. Unfortunately, Kyou was the one in charge, so it wasn't his call "So, Leader, how do you wish for us to proceed?"

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon casually scanned the area wary of any possible threats....untrained or not it doesn't take a jounin to play opossum
"We should keep our guard up..." he whispered to himself
"You never see death coming until you've underestimated your enemy and it's too late...." he added as he shifted his grip on Ryuu no o.
Now he let the length of the chain lay in front of his so as to use his Kekkei Genkai on the chain to block frontal attacks if possible and so it wouldn't hamper his movement is he need to move backwards quickly.
These were the ones who hurt Akeru.... Who disgraced suna.... there would not be a second failure.... he would not allow it.

Kyou Koubadeyou
Kyou lokeda thte area that they had reached and sniffed lightly checking the area to see how many people were there. But fortunately all that she could smell were those men that were passed out drunk and the reek of their sake. So looks like this should be easy enough... it also looked like there was a cave there before them so they're more then likely going to have to go in there... Okay now what else do they need to do... the cves were more then likely dark, so seing through them would be near impossible, and most of this team would be useless without some eyes, so all she neded to do was be sure to give them some eyes... "Alright, here's what we'll do..." she said sternly to get everyone's atention, but quiet enought not to wake the unconcious guards up ahead. "seeing how we're going into the cave I want Ryumon to switch positions with me. I might not be able to see exactly, but I can see with my nose so that way I can lead us through the caves... they're most likely dark inside so we all need to keep our guards up. I'll keep my nose peeled but still there's a chance that they might come in the cave from behind us so Rekin you'll have a partner to help you keep an eye on the back of the group..." she said simply as she bit her thumn and made some handsigns then placed a hand on the ground and there was a puff of smoke and it cleared to show a small badger, about half as tall as her knee as he sat there, not really much larger then a small dog. "Kuyo. Cover the back of the group so we can see if anyone's comeing from behind." she told the badger who looked up at her and tilted his head with a smile. "Sure thing." the badger said as he went to where he was told and stood up on his hind legs near Rekin. Kyou then reached in her bckpack and pulled out her metal claws and slipped them on since she was going ot be in the front now and she will most likely be open for attack."now more then likely we'll be wandering a bit to find who we're looking for. I'm not certain on the layout of the caves, so I'm not sure where we're going, but I can try and find the specific scent of the one we're looking for since I know her, but still this will be difficult, so the best we can do it stick together and keep our guard up since I don't now what we're up against...." she said as she tightened her gloves on her hands and scanned the faces of the group. "Everyone clear with the plan...?' she asked them.

Kazu Hiroshi Kazu was a bit disappointed; not by his team, but by the enemies. The place looked as if it belonged to low rank criminals... Kazu sighed and heard Kyou giving out directions. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to do other than just be their medic. "Uhm... Kyou what is it you want me to do?" he asked quietly. He wasn't nervous; he was quite raring to go. He now just had a lower opinion of the people they were going to fight. To Kazu, he thought they would have at least picked a better looking place in the middle of a desert.

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon nodded in supplication and moved to switch places with Kyou.
"Koubadeyou-sempai... I trust your judgment but....i have concerns about your safety...are you sure taking point with Akira sensei is wise? you 2 are most likely to be attack in close quarters like these and should a fight break out friendly fire might be a concern...." he said.
"I mean only that it might be safer for Ito-sempai and Akira-sensei to take point with you behind them.... if something happens to you our chain of command could suffer..." he said trying to hide his legitimate concern for her safety. Knowing she wasn't a combat type he thought that taking point with Akira might be too dangerous....even though she could probably see any danger coming he didn't want any surprises to cost him a comrade...

-------------- Kazeryu Akira -------------- "Even the most gentle wind Can become a great hurricane" "You don't have to worry, Ryumon, she'll be safe with me."Akira was more worried about Kyou being in the way of some of his attacks than her not being adequately protected. If they were taking point, he could just put up his barrier, and most long range attacks and traps would be rendered ineffective anyway. Anyone moving to attack up close, Akira could cut them off before they got to Kyou. "My defensive abilities allow us to protect the both of us, and you shouldn't count Kyou out so quickly, if she's willing to take point, then she's confident in her abilities."Akira drew his swords, trying even harder to stay mindful of his surroundings. They would be around enemies now, and he wouldn't let himself be caught off guard.

---------------- Sukami Akeru ----------------
"Within every lie, there is truth Within every illusion, there is reality" "......*sigh*"Akeru sighed to herself as they stopped and listened to Kyou's plan. Didn't Kyou already give them a battle plan? This was getting annoying, she wanted to just hurry up and get this over with. She crossed her arms and looked towards the hideout, seeming annoyed and not looking anyone in the eye. "...No plan survives first contact with the enemy..."Akeru assumed that Kyou was smart enough to understand what the quote meant. There was no point in spending all day planning when everything would change the minute they got into combat. These guys may not have been trained ninja like they were, but they weren't predictable enough to be able to plan out their moves, so it would be more important to adjust on the fly rather than be ready before the fight. In truth, however, Akeru didn't really care what happened to the group. If everyone did get seriously hurt, it would just make things easier for her in the end. Akeru lifted a hand, tugging on her gloves to tighten them. "So, are we going to move already, or sit here and plan some more?"

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon decided to agree with Akeru against his better judgment if for no other reason than the fact that she was right.
"Sukami-Sensei is correct we should make haste and be prepared to adapt as the situation evolves. Maintaining flexibility in our tactics will keep up safer on the whole, lest we are snapped like a brittle sun-dried twig....so to speak." he stated.
"It may also be wise to lure our enemies to us as we are less familiar with the inside of the cave. The less time we spend looking for them the better. It also puts us in a better position defensively as they will have to fight on our terms if ambushed. That will make it easier to simply incapacitate them and force them to tell us the location of our objective. We could most likely use genjutsu to trick them into telling us the truth. This would minimize a good deal of risk and help us conserve energy for the trip back. By the look of the front entrance they were not expecting us to pursue or find them. They most likely thought that even if some one was sent it would be a 3 - 4 man cell. They will not likely be able to counter all 7 of us. The amount of combat specialists with us also tips the scales in our favor in terms of direct combat. That is however only a rough assessment on my part and anything could change at anytime. I suppose the rule of thumb here is that we be careful and keep our guard up no matter what." he finished.
He could only give his opinion on the situation as he saw it, and knowing so little about the enemy bothered him. He had once heard his father say to a student 'The weaker the enemy makes you think he his the closer to death you are when he proves you wrong...'

Kyou Koubadeyou
Kyou glanced at Ryumon as he asked if she was certain about her decesion. "yes, I am, as Akira said he is capable enough to defend me if needed and I am more then capable of fighting and defending myself." she said simply as she tightened her gloves on her hands. She then looked back at Ryumon as he started giving out his own ideas and tellng his own plan of his own. "I asked if you had any questions, I didn't tell you to start giveing ideas of your own." she said simply as she turned away. She glanced at Kazu as he spoke up. "Just do what you can to help and focus on self preservation." she said simply. She then glanced at Akeru and nodded in agreement. "Yea, we should be heading out...' she said as she straightened up. "Now I want to keep the element of surprise, so keep silent, and move quickly. And stay. together." she said sternly, makeing her point very clear as she waied a moment for everyone to get together.

Ryumon Tensa "Know that the way of the shinobi should be one of love for his family and people...Know too that the way of the shinobi is terribly harsh..."

Ryumon swallowed the flippant response lingering in his thoughts. He decided he should just be extra vigilant about protecting his comrades. With that he focused and pushed his emotions deep down and away and simply took in the pure facts as best he could.
He knew that empathy and open-mindedness was paramount in a team leader. He knew that morale, and by proxy team cohesion, would suffer if self-preservation was the only prerogative. He also knew that with the possibility of traps in the cave, if the team wasn't watching out for each other many of them would not be coming home alive.....
He made a significant mental effort to give Kyou the benefit of the doubt, but he simply couldn't ignore the danger in her attitude towards team work. The more this mission went on, the more he began to doubt the emotional stability of the person who held all of their lives in her hands.
This too he managed to suppress in a quiet place in his mind letting only logic and calculation reign over his thoughts. There was, however, one dim light of emotion within the shadowy prison that masked his feelings... He saw what he perceived as a profound sadness with in her....the kind of hurt that dug it's way deep into a person... too deep for even them to see it.
He had been there once himself....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Why do you wanna play with us anyway Tensa boy?" the young girl asked him.
"Go play with one of those other bloodline freaks.." muttered a boy under his breath.
"Hey don't be mean to him.......you don't know what he could do to you..." said the young girl....
"Y-yeah? U-uh sorry Tensa-kun....I didn't mean nothin' by it!" the boy said running off with the little girl in tow.
As a 6 year old boy stood there watching them go the tears would not come. Some pain was simply too great to express... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
....It's hard to walk this path alone.... he thought....
Ryumon pushed such thoughts out of his mind and adjusted his grip on Ryu no o. While he wanted to try and understand his comrade better this mission is his focus for now...
Rekin Wolfblade Rekin dropped to all fours, A stance better suited to his genkai and disturbingly even to him, More comfortable then standing upright. HIs palms touched the warm sand and he felt the vibrations though the earth, This was of course his second specialty...earth Jutisu. He looked up. "I sense a large amount of movement ahead, The caves must go on for thousands of feet in every direction. I could scout underground if needed." He was of course refering to his Earth Release, But it would take a large amount of Chakra while he was in this farel state.
---------------- Sukami Akeru ----------------
"Within every lie, there is truth Within every illusion, there is reality" "Didn't our leader just say...keep your ideas to yourself?"Akeru turned slightly, looking at Rekin out of the corner of her eye. Her eyes had an empty look to them, not the look of someone who was ready for battle, or one of someone who was nervous. If anything, she seemed bored, like she wanted to get this done with. It made the fact that she had basically told him to shut up seem a little more hurtful. It was more like she was looking trough him, like he was unimportant. In truth, nobody around her seemed terribly important to her at the moment. They were just bars in her cage, a cage called sunagakure. If Kyou wanted to focus on self preservation, that was fine with her. That was her plan from the beginning anyway. And if people did get hurt, it only made things easier. Akeru moved forward, keeping her hands free in case she needed to use any jutsu. Not all of her genjutsu could be cast through her kekei genkai, so she had to be ready. When it was necessary to use her ability to cancel enemy genjutsu, then she would pull out her kunai to defend herself.
-------------- Kazeryu Akira -------------- "Even the most gentle wind Can become a great hurricane" Akira just loved the unity of their group. They seemed so bad that he wouldn't be surprised if a smart enemy could turn them all against eachother. Luckily, at least he, Ryumon, and Rekin seemed to have the groups best interests in mind, and he knew who to turn to if things got messy. "I'll use my barrier to protect us from traps and projectile attacks, leader. That way any enemies attacking will have to face our group head on. It takes more chakra to use the wider I make it though, so it'll probably be best if you just stay really close behind me."Stabbing both of his swords into the ground for a second, Akira made the seals necessary and activated his wind barrier. It was only protecting himself and Kyou, but as long as everyone else stayed behind them, they should be protected as well. Once the barrier was in place, he picked up his swords and headed forward. "These people don't look like they can put up much of a defense at all. Aside from the one that can use genjutsu, my barrier should pretty much protect us from anything they can think up. Well, err...as long as they don't use fire... "
