 Cam was enjoying a quiet cat-nap in the forest. Fifty feet to her left was the waterfall, where their local river tumbled down a set of boulders to continue it's flow in the wider banks that led to the ocean.
The flower-patterned fox stretched out, enjoying the moment. Autumn was coming, so there was only the barest hint of a chill in the air. The bubbling of water was an agreeable sound, and made the female feel lazy with contentment. It was a perfect moment, the kind that would have been nice to share with a mate or close friend.

 Ilario smiled as he stood with his head held high. The day was nice and the trees were all wearing different colors. He watched as the wind blew some leaves out of the trees and he watched as they went sailing through the air. He followed the path of the leaves then stopped when they went sailing over a waterfall. The place was beautiful... He stood looking out over the small cliff near the waterfall looking out over the river and land below.

A leaf drifted down to land squarely on Cam's nose. Before it dislodged she caught a faint smell from it, a strange male. The smell was so faint though, and gone so quickly she was almost sure she'd imagined it.
She looked up in the direction the leaf had come from, the waterfall. She blinked. Either it was a trick of the shadows, or a black fox face was peering through some of the rocks at the top of the waterfall.

As he stood looking over the land he couldn't help but feel like there was some one around. He blinked as he glanced around the area. He couldn't quite see anyone... but just because he couldn't see someone didn't mean that they weren't there.
"H... Hello?" He called out to see if anyone would answer. "Hello? Is there any one here?" He walked along the rocks tilting his ears to see if he could pick up any answer.

Cam almost giggled. She'd forgetted that her coat colors made for effective cameflage. In her first meeting with Altair he hadn't been able to spot her 'til she moved. It seemed the trend was holding true.
"Hello," Cam trilled, though she stayed where she was. She'd rather have a conversation with the strange male before giving away her position with movement.

Ilario stopped walking when he heard a voice call out. His ears tilted in the direction it had come from but when he looked over there he didn't see anything. He blinked as he looked around nervously. He knew he couldn't be going crazy. He heard someone talk. He jumped off the rocks and stood his ground looking in the direction the voice had come from.
"Hello... who... who are you?" He looked closely trying to locate who it was. "Are you... hiding from me?" If so he didn't mean to scare any one.

"I'm wouldn't say I'm hiding so much as I'm very well hidden," came her response. Now that the male had come down from his spot at the top of the falls, she saw how she would have missed him in the shadows. He was mostly black, with an almost brown-ish red color on his head and back. Nearly half his tail was bright red and he had green and white socks on all feet.
Cam's faced creased in consideration. The male didn't look or seem like danger. "Can you blame me though, meeting a stranger in the woods. Not all foxes are good."

He made a funny face at her hidden comment and looked around the area again. She was right. She was hidden well. His ears moved back and forth as he picked up the sounds around him. He was trying to see if he could pinpoint her... but that failed easily.
"You got a point." He sat down and scratched an ear with his right foot. "Not all foxes are good." When he was finished with his itch he looked around again. "My name is Ilario... I didn't mean to intrude if this is your territory... I was kinda just wondering around..."

Cam stood up, shedding a few leaves that had fallen from the tree she'd be laying under. "My territory? Goodness no, not all my own. It's far too big and I'm not a fighter. This land is the territory of the Caledonia tribe, of which I am a part of."
Cam's smile was just a touch shy. The male who had introduced himself as Ilario had very bold colors. All the males in her tribe, for the most part, either had mates or had little to do with her personally since they were either busy or just not around.
"I am Chamomile. I don't object to nicknames, I know my name can be a mouthful to say constantly."

Ilario looked up when he head the ruffling of leaves over somewhere toward his right. He smiled when he spotted the fox he had been talking too. She was good. He had been talking to her and she had been only a few feet away from him. He coat was beautiful and explained alto of reasons why he wasn't able to see her.
"Caledonia?" He blinked as he tilted his head. "I had no idea this land belonged to a tribe..." He looked around. "There uhh... there aren't more of you hiding in the bushes are there...?"
From what he could tell it was just her but he figured if there was a tribe there might be more foxes with her. He just didn't want to get tackled for intruding on there area. That wasn't so fun. He had often heard that tribe members stuck together when outside of the living area. He had envisioned that if he had ever crossed a tribes area he would be tackled by three or four foxes in a dog pile at an attempt to ask him why he was on there land.
"Chamomile?" He was brought out of thought. He smiled. "Thats a nice name... I like it. Chamomile..." He then chuckled. "Your right... it is a mouthful to say."

Cam chuckled, amused by Ilario. She spent so much time with her tribe, she forgot what a treat it was to deal with new foxes. "No, just me. Probably not a wise choice, as I am neither strong nor fast, but there's no one in the tribe whom I can think to ask to walk with me."
She lowered her head to nose a few leaves out of her fur. "It is indeed, and I always found it amusing that the flowers on my fur resemble roses or daisies more than chamomiles."
Cam looked up from her grooming, now examining the male again. It was hard to tell what this fox was good at, since she was not adapt at reading muscles. "What about you? Does your name carry a special meaning?"
