Lo stretched her sagging legs out into the air before settling back into the bench. The park was peaceful this time of evening, when all the kids were tired from school and their parents eager to get them to bed. It wasn't dark, far from it, but just dark enough to kill the evil sun.
The bench she was sitting on was settled aroudn the circle of pavement surrounding the fountain. Bailey sat on the lip of it, it's bare toes dipped into the cool water with it's hand out on it's side to keep balance. For once, it's wings were at full mast and help out beautifully while the little fae hummed a tune.

The sky was dim and it seemed some kids who had, well, less than conventional schooling, were out and about. One of these cases would be Riya, his long blonde hair falling over the back of his top. It was a nice, soft, t-shirt jersey material, but it was a little longer at the bottom than a normal shirt and had a hood on it. It was tight still, and sleeveless, an odd combo but cute. He wore this with dark jeans, checkered sneakers, and black&white striped arm warmers. Yep, someone was getting used to being fashionable.
As he approached the fountain to toss a coin in on his way past, the boy spotted a pair of lovely and familiar wings on the other side. "Oh, Bailey! I didn't think I'd see you here. Hi" he greeted softly, waving to the fae and then to Lo. "Hey Miss Lo"

Bailey had barely taken notice that someone was on the other side, but having not recognized it's friend, it kept on daydreaming. Then Riya spoke. The fae leaned over to the right and stared. That was....that was Riya?!
Instinctively, Bailey hunched over.
Lo looked up, having been skimming over a magazine and had to do a double take herself. Then she laughed, a large grin covering her face. "Well, hello, Riya. Looks like you've done some growing up since last I saw you."

"Just a bit." the boy agreed, going to sit on the lip by his friend. "Roshan did too and so did Steve."
"Out to play tonight, Bailey?" the boy asked gently, his voice soft and tender, used to the fae being shy or awkward. "How've you been?"

"Sounds like you had boom in your house." She chuckled, closing her magazine and sitting it off to the side. Then the matriarch saw Bailey, and felt uneasy. That wasn't Bailey's shy or awkward face at all; that was Bailey's wary face.
The fae pulled it's braid over it's shoulder and started nervously playing with the end. It lowered it's orchid eyes to the water below. In all honesty, the situation had never crossed the toddler's mind and to be face to face with it was terrifying. "....Ya. M'good." Cautiously, it looked up to Riya. "You?"

Riya had never really seen the wary face all that often, so he didn't really know much about it. "I'm all right. I've missed playing with you." he said with a smile, flicking his tail a bit to tickle the smaller creature. "Do you still have your plushies?"

That brought a little smile to the fae's face. "Mm'hmm." It nodded, the long braid bobbing in tune with it's wings. "I wanted another one, but Gram said no." And it would have been the perfect one too. The shape had looked so much like Riya, Jaella, and Roshan that the fae had instantly squealed. Too bad it had so many already.
But....In a small whispered, Bailey asked, "...So you di'n't forget?"

Riya laughed, "Of course I didn't, Bailey. You're my friend, why would I forget spending time with you?" he asked, flicking his tail repeatedly and leaning down to hug the fae.
"I just got bigger, not meaner or forgetfuller." he joked, "We're still friends."
