Mist, however, decided it was unimportant and trotted in place for some moments. "The ground is different." she announced to herself. And it was indeed somewhat harder here, likely trampled upon by hundreds of Kimeti on their way to the body of water that Mist had passed by- not that she'd know that was why.
She ignored the few other Kimeti that she passed, having no desire to really speak to any of them, and began her search for something edible. Fruit, probably- something colourful and sweet.
