Her body stretched out like silk on the rocks, what neighboring desert heat she could squint and see only a short flight from her keep. Her body had a way about it that would shimmer beneath a raging gray sky, glossed only by the diligence of a steady tongue, if she worked hard enough toward it. Her body, which usually maintained a leaf-riddled front, was kept up to par with the other Godly creatures of the world, at least for today. And as she sat in between the rocky plains and an endless sea of golden grain, she began to wonder why on Earth she was alone.
Abayomi was lovely in her own right. In many rights actually; she was healthy, personality wise there could be no matching, and the heart she had was all but made of pure gold. Perhaps the girl played around too much...and patience was not a quality she could easily gloat on, but Abayomi was fun. Definite, absolute. She was redefining fun in fact--she was the life of the party! The reason why merry-times were oh so merry! There was no reason for the female to be all on her lonesome, wading through this life with but a couple of pivotal moments to recount on.
Tilting her head back against the hard, cold stone Abayomi sighed. Dirt billowed from her heavy breath, and in response she sneezed. The world was such a wonderful place to be in, especially the mortal realm where Abayomi spent every second in...she loved to travel and be her own lioness, and certainly a mate and children would only slow down her momentum, but the clock was ticking. What would happen if she passed? Abayomi was unfamiliar with how Gods and Goddess deaths worked. Was there a rebirthing process? Granted, she as well as her fellow otherworldly familiars were harder to kill off but death was possible. Death was the reason for life, and in this life Abayomi wished to experience everything she could; even if it meant all the bright and shining colors came to an end.
How depressing! She thought before rolling onto her stomach. Lavender wings streeetched out just as her body did, a surge of tickling tingles working their way through her muscles and down to the very tip of her tail. Although troubled, the goddess could no longer take the silence of the jungle. She had to find someone, anyone, who would be willing to preoccupy her mind! Abayomi could not forget her purpose on the planet amongst the lions of the land. There were festivities to attend to, people to please, items to be adorned; children, mates, love, loss, it would all come in good time. For now, she reached out with her paws toward the firm soil and leaned into a slow walk, away from the desert and toward the thicker parts of the wild.

Family had always been on his mind, in one way or another, but it was usually in regards to wondering if there was one already existing and ready for him. It had only been recently that he wondered about finding someone to create one with. The only thing was, he didn’t know who it was that belong to him, was set, predestined even, to be with him, and what he was suppose to do after that point. He pretty much assumed that a sort of magic would happen and that everything would take its natural course. He would know when the time came, but when he found someone, someone who desired his company and wouldn’t abandoned him for another, then he would be truly loved and valued. Somehow, this person would fix the gapping hole inside of his being and make up for all the loss and pain he experienced as a child.
As of late, he was still traveling, and had grown into a dashing young man in that time. Aside from a longer mane, he was a lot more eloquent and more worldly than before. Surely a charmer even if his voice tended to break from time to time. Damn on growing up. He still had yet to roar or do any of that unnecessary male display, but he was in no rush. For now, he was traveling with Lucretia, taking his time, and keeping his eyes peeled for anyone or anything that might spark his interest. Anything to keep his mind off of the darker thoughts that always haunted him since his otherworldly birth. A birth devoid of a mother’s warmth or the assurance that he wasn’t alone.
It was those thoughts that caused him to want to leave Lucretia for a time and seek out his friends. As he remembered, he had found a rather pleasant friend in a lively rain dancer by the name of Abayomi when he was nothing but a cubling. Wanting to impress and catch up, he sought out his friend once more.
Without the rain, he found it harder to find the lively spirit and it took him a great while before he noticed her basking in the sun. Smiling, he flew over, trying to be clever by making a impressive appearance, and sashayed his way to come up behind her. “What a crime. My friend has wilted like a flower in the heat of the sun. She use to be much livelier in the rainy season. If only I was the god of Rainfall. Then I could bring her back to life.” He walked around her to let her get a better view of him. “My, you look just the same as when I left you. Still, it’s felt like ages, my friend, Abayomi.” He missed her. To be able to say he had a friend, a someone, from the group of very few friends he had, really touched him. It was the closest to family he had and, as he remembered from dancing with her, he hoped she would be an escape from his haunting thoughts. He wanted to feel like a kid again. Not the sad child he was, but of the one that learned to dance with a friendly goddess who had easily welcomed him to her side to have a dance in the rain.

Abayomi ignored her wired senses, disregarding the sirens that rang out: Someone approaches! Someone is near! She sensed his presence several seconds late, too late if it were another lion looking to protect their land or family, but showed no sign of distress. In fact, the lioness looked pleased with what she felt; tail flicking behind her in delight, claws hidden even as she arched her back and readied to turn. His smell wafted in the breeze, so strong and familiar…it brought butterflies to her stomach and laughter to her ebon, pursed lips. Lightly coated ears lifted, responding to the voice excitedly. Then she turned her head. Coyly at first, Abayomi peeked over hunched shoulders; “Wha--?” The smooth tone of a lady cracked, as most voices would when used suddenly out of silence, before flattening out in a mock question. She knew who he was—she knew that he knew as well...true to form, she couldn’t put on the act not even for another second.
“Khuluma, it has been a while!” The lioness was thrilled, spinning full-tail and closing the gap that separated them. “Wow! You’re huge!” Her features became wide, a grin spreading so far that it all but reached her ears. She had often thought about the cub who paraded about in the rain along side her some time ago, as he mentioned; the sweet, open, and frankly beautiful boy who meandered through her life and stamped his cutesy paws into the root of her happy memories. He was her friend, one of the closest she could pin-point, even if they had only spent one glorious afternoon together. Unable to contain herself, Abayomi sprung up to wrap her forepaws around the male’s neck, trying not to knock him over…if it were possible at this point! Wow!
“I can’t say the same for you! Look at those shoulders, and your hair!” She kept her paws tight around him, acting as if no time had passed…because that was what Abayomi did best. Even in light of a dreary day, for her especially, the Goddess could draw up the true lioness that lurked within.

Khuluma was nearly thrown over by the hug and while he had been hugged before, ages of not being close to anyone and getting many had always made hugging awkward for them. Still, after a moment of holding out his paws, he curled them around the goddess and patted her back, softly embracing her. "I may have grown, but I hardly feel any bigger." As for feeling older, he did feel that. He had learned a lot since he last seen her, been with others for time to time, and was more established in his speech. True, he never used his powers as of yet and he didn't know which direction he was going in life, but that's how his life always had been. A lost boy without a place to go.
He didn't dare pull from her embrace, and continued the hold for as long as she would allow it to last. "You do feel a little bigger than when I last saw you, or maybe smaller now that I've grown. Who knows? Time flies and I'm losing track of everything. Best to forget after all." Of course he was noting his own sad history, but he didn't go into detail. "I've missed you so much. It seemed ages since we last saw each other, and even though it was short, I feel your memory last longer than that of any year-long friendship. I just had to see you again. It may not be raining, but I hoped we could still celebrate for no other reason than being alive and reunited for a time. I hardly get to visit old friends. It's so hard to track our type down." He nuzzled her a moment before finally breaking free. He took a moment to straighten his hair with his claws.
"You look well. What has been going in your life since last I've seen you? Happy memories I hope. If not, please don't feel obligated to say. I want this to be a happy occasion and I'm not about to bring bad thoughts into it. Let's leave all that nasty business in the dirt where it belongs."

Her smile remained fixed in place, paws flattening out against the soil as he settled away from her. For the most part her body seemed to stand still, as if time had stopped. Only her ears, twitching to the sound of an older Khuluma, made it known that she still remained in this time in this place, soaking in every second she could with even the slightest breath intake. She saw something different in him, a worn look when a brief yet noticeable mentioning of the past came and went during his speech, but the lioness only docked it in her mental notes...perhaps another day.
He finished and she, quieted still, let the silence reign for a moment. She too had found it difficult to visit old connections, not that there were many to sift through, and idly thought what those few lions were up to now-a-day...then, reeling with delight she bounced on her front paws while she spoke. "I have missed you too! There has been far too many days separating our last visit, I am so glad you found me."
Abayomi was never too down to ignore her powers, the way she could soften a mood with just her presence, and liven a dreary lion with a simple lick of the cheek... he was right; they ought to celebrate their reunion and succumb to the bliss they were both very familiar with when together. "Things haven't been going horribly, which does not suit me at all. But I am far too thrilled to think of anything other then you, being here right now in front of me! You have made my entire day!"
"Oh how I have missed you! Your hair, my goodness it is lovely! So long and luscious--I'm sure there have been days where the ladies were hot on your tail. And if not they are certainly missing out. But never mind all of that! Were you just out and about searching the lands for little ol' me, or are there some duties you need doing that I could perhaps offer a helping hand in?" The lioness, wings spread, leaned back on her hind paws again and threw her torso into the air. A rush of wind tossed dirt and leaves sky high, spinning with it her fragrance so rich and earthy.

He was utterly delighted to see her happy to see him. It had been a while and he was starting to feel as if he had been neglected by everyone. It was nice to hear, every once in a while, that someone was thinking of you. Despite his charisma, so few cared. As she danced about, he picked up his own beat and toed around her, watching her as he puffed with personal pride at his hair being mentioned. "Oh, this? I really should do more with it. It's just awful how it looks in this heat. You should see it when I have it nicely combed and oiled." He made appoint to toss his hair of his shoulder, letting the golden locks catch the sun.
"I came here just to see you. I have no work. I don't very have any work at all. No one seems to pull me. I guess I'm not a god that is in high demand or I'm missing who I'm supposed to be helping. As for ladies – well, I tend to put them off. I have yet to really meet many mortals, and I think I would intimidate them." He also never cared for them. He had closed his heart as of late due to recent pains. Palahala still stabbed at him and he had yet to give it another shot. He gave up. He liked loving himself. Maybe that was enough. …………he didn't want to think about it. He wanted a nice escape.
"So we are together again and with no cares. We should shake the world on it's foundation. Call in creatures all to gather round and celebrate! The trees to clap, the birds to sing, and the ground to sway to our motions!" He pranced about, happy to entertain her and entertain himself. "We deserve it after all. Two great Immortals such as us deserve the best."
