(Alright, take two. Hope this one is better <3

I’m going off on assumption on a lot of this, correct me if I am wrong o.o <3 )

User ImageIt wasn’t exactly a secret that Team Rocket had branches in other parts of Kodo, the closest in Camphoreon City. As far as most people knew they were outposts that functioned like the HQ, only not nearly as large.
While most people knew about it, either from being told or having assignments there before, the majority of Grunts knew little to nothing about the other locations. Faleen was one of these grunts, and in all honesty, that fact bothered her.
She chose a day she got off duty; it wasn’t like she had anything else to do. All her tinkering had been completed a long time ago, she hadn’t anything new to work on to keep her attention other then pokemon training, but something different wouldn’t hurt every now and then.
Besides, Rocket was important to her. The more she understood it, the better she could work for it.

She spent her morning getting information on how to get to the outpost… easy enough,
Ironic, she knew that part of town. Not from experience of course, but when one lived in that city all their lives, they heard stories, rumors.
Having never been there herself before, she took what directions she could get, The street names led down to the subway that had been abandoned as long as she could recall. She remembered adults talking about that before as well, how the city should ‘clean up the place’ and get it functioning again. But that’s all it ever was - talking, from pompous know it alls who had liked to complain about everything.
Faleen had wondered if there was some power keeping the district in disrepair, but at the time there had been no hints and scant rumors, making it seem like coincidence. Now, she suspected, that had never been the case.

Dark blond hair pulled back into a high ponytail, Hazel eyes scanning over the street sign… this was where she needed to be.
Looking around, it only took a moment to spot the dark flight of steps that lead to the underground subway.

Pocketing her dex in the pocket of a black lightweight jacket she had put on over her uniform, she made sure that the zipper was pulled up before glancing around uncertainly. There were the steps; did she just have to walk down?
She continued forward, making her way swiftly into the abandoned subway, keeping her eyes open for any further hints as she continued to walk further through he underground.

The abandoned subway station was dark and dank, the rusty metal stairs creaked and even swayed a little bit under Faleen's weight as she descended. They were purposely kept in disrepair to discourage snooping peoples, but were sturdy enough to be relatively safe.

A dark figure watched Faleen from the shadows. The only signs of color being the skin of his face, half of which was covered by a dark visor, and the emblazoned red 'R' on his shirt front. He watched her carefully for a few moments, the guard leaning against a wall with his arms folded.

"You've got a lot of nerve coming down here by yourself, unannounced." He then suddenly spoke into the darkness. The man then stood up and clicked on a flashlight, shining it towards Faleen. "Name, rank, and ID number?"

The light thudding of her boots stopped the moment she heard someone speaking, shifting her weight to glance around, wondering where it came from for only a moment before a light clicked on and pointed from the wall to her.
narrowing her eyes against the sudden light, one of them closing as she answered at the question given to her.
"Faleen, Grunt, 7937"
She turned to fully face the other Rocket. she couldn't make him out yet, even as she got used to the light, both eyes opening back up again.
Faleen pulled her hands out of her jacket pocket, taking her Dex with her, that she opened up to confirm her identification.

The man took one glance at her Rocket Dex and lowered his flashlight to point at the ground instead. "All right, you're clear. The name's Will by the way." And judging from his attire, he was obviously another grunt.

"I'm a guard down here. What brings you out here?"

It wasn't often that people stopped by from the main HQ unless they were picking up supplies or sending them. So this was a fairly rare occasion. He only hoped that she wasn't like Kofuku.

"Will" She repeated, in a soft nod of greeting, able to see more clearly now that the light wasn't blacking him out, he was another Grunt, like herself, and there was something familiar about him.
"I'm off duty for the day, and since I'm lacking knowledge of the outposts I thought I would come down here and offer assistance if its needed."
Closing her Rocket Dex back up, putting it onto her belt this time instead of the pocket.

Will lifted his brows, although invisible thanks to the obscuring nature of his visor. The top of which met the brim of his grunt cap.

"Oh, well I wouldn't be the one to ask about that. But I can tell you that we're a bit short handed here, so if you were interested in transferring I'm sure it can be arranged. As for now, I can show you around if you want. My shift is almost up anyway."

However, there was a moment of pause. "Hold on. You were on that botched raid, weren't you?" It seems he had recognized her also.

She blinked at him for a couple of seconds after he mentioned the botched raid, it seemed to be out of no where untill she suddenly rememberd why he looked familier
"I knew I knew you from somewhere" she said, lifting a hand to point at him.
"You were on that mission to, I remember seeing you now."
She lowered her hand, a small, polite smile on her face returning to his first question for a moment
"You could show me around? I would very much appreciate that, thank you,"
She stood up straighter, folding her hands gently behind her back.
"I'm not really looking to transfer, I have a division at the main HQ that I'm hoping to apply for soon, but I would be interested in volunteering some of my time here when I can if it would help out any." Faleen explained, "I'll find out who I can talk to about that"

She hadn't thought about not seeing him around, she hadn't exactly met the other Grunt formally before. but now that she thinks about it, thats probably why she hadn't seen him before, he was stationed at the outpost.

Will's mouth quirked into a wry grin as she put the pieces together. Although that night some months ago had been far from a pleasant one, but that was long since behind them.

"Certainly, just follow me."

With that, the grunt started to lead her down the subway tunnel that had fallen into disrepair. With his back turned, the little bit of faded red hair could now be seen poking out from beneath the back of his cap.

"I'm sure any help would be appreciated. What division are you looking to transfer to?"

Ah yes, she couldn't blame him for that look, it was... a disaster of a night, and hopefully not something that was going to be repeated.

Hazel eyes moving to the ground for a moment to better watch where she was stepping, before looking back at Will had he lead her deeper down, keeping up with him.
"Robotics" she answered "down in the tech department"

"I see," Will replied, sounding a little surprised by that confession. He wouldn't have guessed that she would be the type to get into that. "So you're a mechanic then?"

Soon enough they came to what looked like an old service entrance with a small box that blended in against the dark wall. With the swipe of a card, there was a beep and the door clicked. Opening it, he allowed Faleen to pass through.

"Robotic engineer" she offered instead, with a soft smile, it was clearly something she enjoyed talking about, even if it was just in passing. "I do have skills in being a mechanic as well though."

Glancing over to him when the door opened, and he paused to let her go in first.
letting her hands go so she could move them in front of her again she stepped past him, glancing around as she entered through the door.

"Ah ha, pardon me then," Will replied with a grin as she went through the door. He closed it behind them, and again it clicked as it locked once more. Their course took them through a dimly lit concrete corridor.

"Well then, I'm sure you could be put to use. Things do tend to fall into disrepair rather quickly here since the outposts don't have the immediate resources that the HQ has. We're supposed to get a tech team in here for some computer maintenance soon."

Eventually they passed through another set of doors, which took them into the common area, which seemed like a miniature version of the HQ. Done one wall there was administrative offices, and then an area opened up giving access to the cafeteria, rec room, and so on. There were only three floors in the outpost so everything was rather compact.

"Oh yes, I can certainly help in any way I can. It would be refreshing to work on some hardware again, Pokemon training has been consuming my time lately."
It was necessary, she knew that, didn't change how different it was, working with living creatures.

The grunt looked around the new aria once they stepped through the doors, the very first thing she noticed was how much smaller this base was.
It felt similar enough, it definitely looked like a Rocket base.
"So what is the main reason for this outpost?" she asked, curiously, looking back over to Will "party to help cover more territory?"

Another grunt passed by, to which Will gave a casual two-fingered salute. It was the guy who was replacing him for guard duty. The other guy just grunted a bit, apparently not looking forward to it. Will just chuckled at the man's lack of enthusiasm.

"Well that's certainly not a bad thing. I honestly wish I had more time for it. I've been having some difficulty with my Pokemon. To put it mildly."

He then paused by the cafeteria before they completely passed it by. "Basically. Its easier to keep an eye on the major cities and to have a presence there when its not several hours away. There's another one in Sandalwood City also. Speaking of long trips, are you hungry?"

Shifting to the side to make sure she wasn't going to be in the other grunts way as he passed, watching him go down the hall in the direction they had come from, well aware that he didn't seem thrilled about his task at all, not that she could blame him, standing around was probably one of the worse jobs anyone could have.

Turning her attention back over to Will as she continued following the other Rocket.
"Difficulty?" She asked with a small frown, tilting her head to the side. "How is that?"

Sandalwood City, certainly much father then Camphoreon, and not a city that she was familiar with.
Her thoughts were interrupted when he asked if she was hungry, considering this for a moment, not feeling like she was in need of food right now, but she did have to remind herself that he had just gotten off duty, after what she could guess was a good length of time.
"I made sure to eat before I left, but if you are taking a break, I could use a drink, water or coffee" the grunt answered after a moment.
