I have this nasty habit of getting in the groove of working out off and on, then completely stopping for months. I know I WANT and NEED to work out to maintain a healthy body (I eat healthy, I wouldn't mind being physically healthier as well!) This isn't to lose weight/build mass, or any of that. I just know it's good for me, as it is for everyone.
The issue is, I have like, ZERO motivation to work out. What do you guys do to pump yourselves up to work out more often, if you do?

My college has a nice gym and all of my friends and I go together. I think it helps to have people to work out with. We also all play racquetball which is a fun way to get a workout.

Psyche yourself out. No lie. Always be like "OH YEAH I LOVE GOING TO THE GYM/LOVE WORKING OUT"
Make yourself believe you love it, and you will. Also remember how you feel after you workout? And the results you get outta 'em?

I am so bad at motivating myself. ;.;
I do take long walks and purposely walk the long route to things, but that doesn't help much.

Having a friend to work out with helps, because then instead of saying "Eh, I don't feel like it. neutral ," you end up doing it because you made plans with someone. Also, doing a variety of activities helps prevent you from being bored (walk, run, bike, hike, play tennis, frisbee, etc. etc.). If you do walk/run alone, I would recommend listening to an mp3 player. Maybe make a goal and say "I'm going to walk this far." or "I'll keep running until this song is over." Setting goals ahead of time will stop you from being like "Eh, I'm done."

I watch TV while on the elliptical or I'll bring my iPod while walking. Friends are an incredible motivator, too. One of my good friends is going to be my workout buddy once we start college. :]

Keep a daily planner and write in it on the days that you work out. Then, when you see that there are a few days without what you did on them you'll feel bad and go work out. =P That's what my friend does. XP
