Hester had had much more interactions lately than she had as a cub. Perhaps now it was because she was old enough to be considered a grown lioness, and therefore let out of the family den more often than she once was.
The female paused at the opening of her home. Soon, it wouldn't be her home any longer. It would just be her mother and father's home, with Tariq's harem. She would have her own Pad and a new family to call home.
As usual, the thought scared her. She didn't want to step outside her comfort zone, although she couldn't really call it a true form of protection.
Hester glanced outside, to the right, and spotted a familiar face not too far away. It was the older male she had talked to a few days ago. He had been nice, and friendly. Not anything like she was used to.

Kame'bufuu had been out and about that day doing things that were considered extremely odd within the pride of kings. He had been out hunting food to bring dinner home to his mates. It was part of his gift to them, a day where they did not hunt, a day where they didn't need to do anything (though it didn't mean they didn't try to). It was Kame's way of showing his appreciation for his mates, and as he dropped off a nice big kill to Tai and Kinaya (something he was used to hunting from his days as a warrior and living on his own in the Rogue Lands), a bright blue masked cub came bounding out of the den to great the Pad. It was his son, Amjad, and he seemed to be really excited at the fact his father had returned home.
Several minutes after Kame had brought the kill home and his mates (as well as his children) had gone to drag it into the den so they could feast, he turned from the den to go fetch himself something to eat. The meat he had brought home was theirs to devour and as much of it as they wanted, but that didn't mean he still wasn't hungry. His son tagged along after him, making it known quite forcefully that he wanted to go along with his father, wanting to learn how to hunt for himself.
As they headed off, they passed by where Hester was currently idling herself, and Amjad, recognizing the adolescent Banu from the waterhole, quickly ran ahead from his father and towards Hester, a nice big smile on his face as he greeted her, "I know you! You were talking with my Dad!"
Kame had quickly followed after his very happy and boisterous son and recognized Hester quickly, slowing his pace to a trot as he approached, "Hello Banu Hester, I apologize if my son is bothering you."
