You remember when I told you about the Annie's Road website and its mysterious-ness? Well... here's one that my friend PandoraCrosse told me about. There's the possibility that it could just be a prank site... but just hearing about it have me that feeling again. A feeling that something isn't right.
Here's our conversation.
Me= Red
Panda= Purple
GrimBoyjr (my cousin and panda's boyfriend)= Blue

smile So does anyone else know some scary stuff? (we'd been sharing scary experiences and I'd just told them about the Annie's Road site)
surprised Oh yeah! Panda tell her about that website you saw.
Oh god yeah, that was horrible... sweatdrop
Huh? neutral
confused I was looking up ghost stories one day and followed a few different sponsored links to a site I can't remember the name of, where the first thing I found was a black screen.
lol Heh, sounds like Annie's Road.
neutral Yeah it was a lot like that, except I don't remember what was in the middle of the screen. There was something, I just can't remember.
razz Weeeeeird
xd f### yeah! But anyway I clicked something and it lead to another black screen. At the top was writing saying "Save this boy" and when you scrolled down it was a picture of a boy.... massacred. sad
eek ...Oh my god. You sure it wasn't a joke?
sad I dunno... but it's weird that I can't remember what else I saw. Just scary s###. They wanted your email like you said, but I never put it in.
redface I dunno if I want to see that...
rolleyes Don't bother looking. Tell her, Panda.
surprised Tell me what? Did it vanish?
stare Yup. I tried to find it for the next few weeks and couldn't. Then something really scary happened... cry
eek What?
confused I got an email from them. There was nothing on it but one sentence in the middle of the screen. "Don't look for us."
sweatdrop Didn't you reply?
surprised Unknown sender. I just knew it was from them because I'd been looking for the site. The question is how did they know? And where did they get my email?
rolleyes Lots of sites have email trackers.
stare That's true... but it all seems way too creepy. There's just something about it...
confused ...There's something else.
confused I know, some rare sites have that glitch too.
question What glitch?
sweatdrop My computer shut down after I saw the site.
eek ...I have to tell the others about this.
gonk Please don't!
Why not? They might be able to help.
crying The email said not to look for them! What if it's real?
...We'll just have to see. mad

That's all we said about the sight and we haven't mentioned it since (tho it was only on Sunday). I just knew I had to mention this to you because, like Annie's Road, it's rare that things like chain mail or creepy prank sites or cult/conspiracy rumors bother me this much. It scared me way more than the annie's road site and even watching some horror movies later on didn't get my mind off of it. Yeah, I'm a disturbing child who gets cheered up or calmed down by watching Tormented and The Hills Have Eyes 2.

Please tell me what you guys think, and sorry about the length of the post...

Well, were I you, I would hope that no-one involved in the site happens to be a Gaia member living near Wallsend. A single email address can, after all, be used to determine all sorts of things.

In any case, at best, this smarts of Failvestigation, and at worst, being completely made up from start to finish. The way that the boyfriend repeatedly says "Tell her" a couple times makes me a little suspicious, first of all, because it's the kind of thing partners say to each other when one of them is trying to cover the other's a** about a made-up story. Secondly, the order of events seems a bit messed up in terms of how it actually would have played out, which is odd - first it's a black screen, then it's a black screen with something in the middle, then she clicked "something" which led to another black screen (at this point I assume she meant "webpage with a black background") with text and an image (incidentally, "massacre" is pretty much used only for multiple individuals, not one), but then implies that somewhere there was an email entry field and other "scary s**t"? And she leaves off mentioning the fact that her computer turned off til last? Third, to be fair, sites that ******** around with your email address /do/ exist, including ones with kind-of-freaky content, such as the C.I.P., which I'd much rather not be indexed on Google about, so if this hasn't been made up, there's likely a very rational explanation for it - and that's not even calling into question how aware Panda and her boyfriend are of the background workings of websites - Panda may well have done something without realising it that sent her email address to the site's admin, for example.

In any case, here're some questions for you and Panda, if you can get her to answer them with anything that isn't a non-commital "What if they come after us? ;_;".

  • When was the site accessed?
  • What was the name or URL of the site? (I assume after having tried to get on it for several weeks, she'd remember at least one of these. And, if it was a recent find, she might even still have it in her browser history.)
  • What day was the email sent on? (If she still has it - it might have mysteriously disappeared!)
  • If the email is still around, can you forward it to us? (The email may have come from an anonymous sender, but email also has header data that can tell you quite a bit of information about it if you extract it.)

Lastly, I'd suggest you - Rem, I mean - don't leap into being ready to believe something based on feeling alone, since it could wind up with you deciding that something must be true and then gathering data to support your decision, rather than gathering data and then making a decision based on that.

Now that was just scary, but I'm guessing that's the perfect example of how people can find you.

I'm not exactly jumping to conclusions, because I'll only fully believe something like that once I'm able to find it and determine a more accurate opinion. I'm just telling everyone (once again) about how I heard about it just in case anyone else has seen it before.
I've heard there are quite a few sites like that one, including there being a rumor about a site the contains videos of people dying.
I'll be asking those questions to Panda as soon as I can, but in the meantime I'll say there is only a slim chance of her remembering the url, we barely pay attention to that sort of thing without being disturbed by the site content. sweatdrop

But anyway, I'll be sure to keep posted on anything that's found.

PS: The feeling I get from it? stare definitely NOT the feeling of being alone. It was more like stage fright mixed with what it feels like to be suffocated. Basically, fear.

My room mate says it could be an ARG, a sort of game where a sort of 'real' scenario plays out that the players have to figure out, its completely fictional but they like to make it seem as real as possible, to include sending the players emails, phone calls, and making youtube video messages.
