Tulip, the humanoid Bulbasaur, had finally learned to walk on two legs adequately. So, of course the first thing she did was explore! She had let her nose guide her and her feet happily followed. Her nose, by chance led her now to a lovely flower bed owned by a certain Pokemon Trainer named Kimmy.

"Oh, look at all these gorgeous flowers!" Tulip squealed cheerfully, not minding how loud she was or anything for that matter. She was skipping amongst a bed of tulips (who would of guessed), careful not to trample any underfoot. A few minutes would pass and she'd bend down to sniff a flower or two, then she'd go about skipping again. The various colors made her so happy, she didn't care if she was close to humans or not!

Tulip had her back to the male Nidoran when he came up and started spouting his threat. If only she hadn't heard this about a million times by now, already, she might be amused. But as it were, this was just an annoyance and was interrupting her flowery enjoyment.

The Bulbasaur girl straightened her bright pink dress, huffed, and turned to face her accuser. "I am a Bulbasaur!" She stamped her foot, still careful not to trample any flowers underfoot. "A VERY special Bulbasaur! I am one of a kind and you'd know better than to threaten me!" Her sassy nature had taken hold of her attitude. She crossed her arms over her chest and tried to maker herself look even bigger than what she was (old habit). Her vines even peeked out from the bulb on her back, waving in the air like a couple Arboks, ready to strike.

"I was just enjoying the lovely garden here." She nodded to the Tulips she was standing in. "Whomever takes care of these, does a wonderful job, they're in great health." The more she talked about the flowers, the softer her tone became and the calmer her attitude got. Her arms unfolded to swing gently by her sides. Even her vines loosened up, one dropping low to gently caress the petals of a nearby pink flower. There was just something about tulips that made her happy, she couldn't stay angry or scared around them for long.

Tulip tilted her head at the offered hand. There wasn't anything in it, so what was this human doing just sticking it out there? She was being pretty friendly, so maybe this was some sort of greeting.

Convinced that this was a sign of greeting, Tulip took a few steps closer towards Kimmy. Timidly, she leaned forward, keeping her eyes locked on her, and... sniffed her hand! Satisfied that the human wasn't going to hurt her in anyway and now that she had her scent, Tulip straightened herself.

"My name's Tulip," the blubagirl snorted, looking accusingly down at Alex. "As for, Alex was his name?" her tone softened slightly, "He was being a little rude and pushy. But I guess if that's his job, he's very good at it."

A side glance was all that Tulip was now giving Alex. She decided it was best to just ignore him at this point and speak with the human. How odd that she was getting along more with this girl, rather than the Pokemon. In any case, she now did not much care for the little Nidoran.

She felt a little embarrassed when Kim started her questioning. Tulip wasn't sure what was good and what wasn't when it came to matching clothing. This was the first time she'd ever had to wear anything like this. It wasn't until Kim mentioned a Bulbasaur costume that Tulip realized what she was referencing. The Bulbagirl felt a mixture of embarrassment, humor, and maybe a slight bit of sadness. She was no longer anything that could be defined as "normal," and she knew this, but there was nothing she could do about it.

"Oh..." she began, averting her gaze from either two. Her tone was quiet, more withdrawn, quite the opposite of what it had just been. "I-it's not a costume... This is how I really am." She wondered if she should continue, if it'd help her feel better or if that was just a bad idea. No matter that, she might now just be run off by Kim. She, after all, a freak. She sighed, and felt tears begin to well up in her eyes.

"Y-you, like, really think so?" Tulip sniffled, wiping a few tears from her eyes. She continued to ignore Alex, especially now that Kim was actually fascinated by what Tulip was and he was still being just as rude (in her mind). A small smile crept across her face as the kindness, whether real or not, from this human was beginning to affect her. She had never met a human that was quite this nice before. No, normally, humans would order their Pokemon to attack her so that could try and catch her. Most of the time she had run, but if they'd backed her into a corner, then so help them!

The little Bulbagirl cleared her throat, trying to get her gumption back. She thought it best to explain the circumstances that brought her to this point. Hopefully the Nidoran wouldn't feel so stressed around her. She really didn't wish anyone harm. "I..." Where to start? She supposed the beginning was the best. "I was once a normal Bulbasaur... well, like not normal, I guess. I've always been way cuter than like, all the other Bulbasaurs I've ever met. But, like, anyway..." She waved her hands about, trying to keep herself on topic. "...I live a ways that way." She thumbed over her shoulder. "But one night I found this..." She thought for a moment, trying to think of the best way to described it. "...It looked like a star, but it wasn't in the sky. I found it in the mud and it was so pretty! It was shiny and glowing and just really beautiful. So, anyway, like, I touched it and blacked out!" She threw her hands up, emphasizing the seriousness of it. "A-and when I woke up, I was like this." Her tone quieted again as she spoke the last sentence, motioning to herself and the way she looked. "I dunno what happened, but like, I'm pretty sure it was the star thingie."

"Yeah, I guess," she faked. Tulip really didn't want to confess that she had COMPLETELY flipped when she changed. There had been much crying and screaming and flailing of extended limbs. Yeah, definitely not something you really want to advertise as having happened to you, especially when you've just met the person you'd be telling it to.

The Pokegirl was just about to ask what tea was when Kim grabbed her by the arm. She jerked it a bit, just as an initial reaction. When she realized there was no imminent danger, she relaxed a bit and allowed herself to be led to the house. Once inside, Tulip just kind of froze. She wasn't sure IF she should look around or not. For the most part, it was all very odd. The geometric angles of the place were so unfamiliar to her that it felt a bit unnerving. She was used to the organic shapes of trees and bushes out in the wild, where she lived. That being said, the Grass-type room was REALLY looking inviting right now.

Tulip jumped a bit when Alex came up to her after his rounds. She had pretty much forgotten he was there. So, needless to say, he surprised her and all she managed in reply to what he said was a timid nod.

"Okay," she mumbled and, despite herself, she found a vine reaching out and lightly wrapping around one of Alex's larger spines. It held on like a child gripped someone's hand when they were being distracted by all that was around them. Her feet shuffled very slowly, following behind Alex, where ever he showed her. She was rather silent, so opposite what she had been outside, but she was quite intimidated by this place. It was something new to her and, with it being so closed-in, she was feeling a bit antsy.

Tulip was definitely thankful that Alex was being nicer to her. Granted, she probably wasn't helping the situation earlier. He was just trying to do his job and keep the area safe, and her beauty could be pretty intimidating. She could respect that. So, from this point forward, she was going to try and be nice to Alex.

The Bulbasaur girl listened carefully as the Nidoran explained the different rooms and what rooms and pillows and doors, etc. It was hard at first, trying to grasp the different concepts, but once she started realizing that they could be likened things she was familiar with, it went by much more smoothly. "So, like, a room is kinda like a clearing in the forest! I think I get that. And a bed is like a couch?" She was more confused by this description. "Um, what's a couch?" She was becoming less uneasy with each step as Alex showed her around the house.
