I kid you not, that is seriously the name of the manga I am currently reading.
Well, to be fair, it's actually, "Durarara!!"
But still.
I'm actually liking this manga. The beginning was very intriguing, the art is decent, it's not gory/graphic, and I'm dying to know more about certain characters.
[It's late, and I frankly don't want to try come up with a summary, so here's Wikipedia for those interested.]
There is admittedly some twistedness (involving a headless woman motorcycle rider looking to reclaim her head) weaving throughout the story that I don't like much and feel that the manga could have gone without, but I will put up with it for the sake of the main plot.
Has anyone else read this manga before?

Durarara! was a brilliantly written anime. I don't think a Manga could do it justice.
And Celty is one of the best characters in it, I don't like you.
Its the same people who made Baccano!

I haven't read the manga, but I have recently watched the entirety of the anime thay have created so far. As for Celty, I'll admit I didn't see the point of her at first, but she's actually one of the most important characters in the show, and probably the manga as well. I have to say that Izaya and Shizuo (Shizu-chan!) are my two favorite characters.

I haven't read the manga but I've been watching the anime since I haven't found the manga around here yet. sweatdrop So far I really like it, mostly the cat helmet since you can't beat that. Not in my eyes at least. I can't remember the names but the woman {well I think it's a woman under the helmet but haven't seen enough to know for a fact if the motorcycle hero person is a woman or not} is my favorite and always will be. My second favorite would be the shy girl that the main guy has a crush on, for me so far she's the most relatable. sweatdrop It is an awesome anime; it's made most of my friends think more open minded to the world. From books I've already thought like that though. 3nodding I'm glad so many others have seen it, I still want to know why it's named "Durarara!!" though. xd

I can't tell you why Celty has to be there because she plays a vital role in the story later on. And of course she's a girl. Guys don't normally come as a C cup. You'll see her head later on though. heart
But one of the more interesting things about the series is how seemingly random people and events are all connected and the way little details that could be overlooked have a huge impact on the relationships between the characters whether they know it or not yet. It is just brilliantly written and keeps you guessing til the very end.
I kind of like how some mythology and fantasyesque plot devices are used. In a way it's saying that even in something that's boring and everyday there can be something miraculous if you take a harder look.

Yay! Durarara is a super-fun show. I actually love Celty, maybe partly because I have some Irish roots myself so I love anything to do with that mythology. Izaya and Shizuo's scenes together are always epic, gotta love that. How many of you have seen Baccano, which is almost like a predecessor to this show but not quite? It's made by the same author and and production house and there's one cameo in Durarara of two Baccano characters. Then again if you've all finished it, you probably already knew that...you know, just in case then redface

I watched it (it was free OnDemand =P), I liked that every time I thought I'd figured it out, another plot twist showed up. I looked at the manga... the art is kind of weird. Izaiya and Shizuo were cuter, but the rest was just odd.
