This was bought to my attention by Pelalis. He made these list of rules of how you should act during battle. These are rules that everyone should go by to avoid arguements and such.

Battle Ettique

1.) A battle is not a power-trip. Know what your opponent can and cannot do, as well as you know your own character's abilities. If you're a long-range fighter in melee range of a Taijutsu Specialist of equal Rank, you're unlikely to be able to evade your opponent's attacks, because their reflexes and speed should be superior. Be prepared to take the hit.

2.) The skilled roleplayer knows when his character takes a hit. If your opponent's attack doesn't connect, you must be able to justify why this is so. You cannot just say, "Bob Kawarimi's out of the way of the sneak attack with his uber-ninja skillz." Was your character aware of the scenario? If not, take the hit. Twinking your way out of every legitimate attack will be severely looked down upon. If your opponents reason for hitting is justified, take the hit, unless you have a good excuse.

3.) The purpose of this roleplay is not for you to win everything. The purpose of roleplay is to be creative and have fun. In the manga/anime, pretty much every character has lost a battle. Do not be afraid to lose, you're meant to sometimes.

4.) The skilled roleplayer will think two or three steps ahead. Take a battle as it goes along, and you'll be at a disadvantage.

5.) When you plan your moves in battle, use IC knowledge and not OOC knowledge. You might know what Bob's ultimate technique is because you read their character sheet. However, if your character has never seen this technique in the roleplay, they will be unaware of it, and therefore you are likely to be caught unaware.

6.) During a battle if you're in conflict over an outcome, just take it in your stride. Get a second opinion from someone unbiased if you're not sure whether something would connect or not.
