(Well now that I am unable to play my game now this is all in hindsight but)

I seem to never ride my bike much and I don't grow berries as often as I did in Diamond. I didn't catch as many repeats as much and I do actually releash some Pokemon now that I know about nature and stats. I went about HG rather sluggish but for the most part it was pretty fun looking back at an old classic. It's given me a bad case of deja vu though. LOL hopefully I will get an apartment before Gen 10 of Pokemon comes out. I don't want to be left behind again.

Well, habits in pokemon:

HG/SS added the pokemon behind thing to get people to take their time walking IMO, and i'm also guilty of falling for their trick!

mostly my habits involve my emotions in a weird wacky way:
If i'm raising a pokemon, i nic-name it, and get attached to it, somehow it makes raising worthwhile to get to lv100...
if hatching: i go to the most nature-inclined public area:
Kanto: Celadon
Johto: Park
Hoenn: Fortree
Sinnoh: Floroma town(town after jubilife, but before power plant)
and hatch the egg there, not for location data but for "life is natural" aspects

if the same hatchling becomes a lv100 with at least 335 in one of it's better stats, i get so attached i wont give it up...

i've sworn off IVs/EVs and natures i'll have a Modest Tyranitar with 0IV and 0ATK EVs and i'll still use him

pokemon should be fun, so i have a habit of involving myself like i was really there it's more fun for me

I think Aw Heck is right about the bike thing...I almost never use mine unless I'm really in a hurry.

I almost never use the berries in HG/SS either...I've always felt like there was little incentive to grow them in the first place, though when I first played Diamond, I wanted to try to max out my berry count. I'll have to double-check the exact number, but I think I have a TON of Oran berries still on there. But yeah, in HG/SS they're kind of arbitrary. There are no berry trees...so they're all given to you or found through the pokewalker.

And speaking of repeats...I have a TON of repeats in HG/SS because of the Pokewalker. I can't *NOT* catch pokemon when I use it, but I tend to end up with a ton of extras. Particularly on the Yellow Route, which is all Pikachu. I have almost two boxes full of them! XD Which is doubly funny when I think that I didn't even USE a Pikachu in the actual game...I went with Electrode when I was going after the Elite Four!

A habbit i have always had:

IGT POKEMON

Ahem, In-game Trades
Whats funny is in some games IGTs have set natures and IVs, some games, they have set natures but random IVs.

However the set nature 9x of 10 is neutral for them or hindering for them but they usually have a item that's hard to find or maybe even a move that species normally wouldn't have.

Brock when you rebattle him once and find him in Digglet's cave asks for a Bonsly and offer you his Rhyhorn, make the trade, you'll get a Rhyhorn with THUNDER FANG.

Steven, in HG/SS asks for a Foretress, give t to him for his Beldum, which has a Dawn stone on it.

And I, myself, am making a team:
Maggie: Magnezone -IGT PowerPlant in HG/SS
---gotten as a Magneton, trade Dugtrio away
Iron: Metagross - IGT Steven in Silph, HG/SS
---gotten as a Beldum, trade away Foretress
Rusty: Steelix - IGT Jasmine Gym Leader, HG/SS
---Obtained as is, Trade ANY POKEMON YOU DONT WANT

These few pokemon are all good pokemon in their own right, but one cool thing is they actually all support each other well due to the dual-type other than steel (elec, psychic, ground, respectively), making this team a nice casual play team.

For me, I'm addicted to get more pokemon to see who walks with me, and a habit of checking what their doing every 100 steps or so.... and for the first time in my pokemon gaming experience: I dont use the bike.

Yeah if and when I get my game back. I will probably start testing out natures and such. I also what to build the best combos of Pikachus I can like boost up speed and def or have one that speedy and spk atk heavily. Also I want to finally get some lv 100's.
