The Long sword? I mean, ive been using them since MHF2, and even with the attack downgrades in Tri, I still find them helpful. So tell me this-Why is the LS considered a noob weapon?

i guess its not the longsword thats the noob but rather the user ya know? its cuz they trip the hell out of all the other ppl ur playing with. if u dont know how to use it right or sumthin and just spirit spam

Well if you think about it, every weapon is considered a noob weapon depending on what the person started out with. Noob weaponry is just silly as it is just a myth. Unless its a certain type of LS like a long sword made from a Tigrex parts ( it's just an example)

Poetic Static Well if you think about it, every weapon is considered a noob weapon depending on what the person started out with. Noob weaponry is just silly as it is just a myth. Unless its a certain type of LS like a long sword made from a Tigrex parts ( it's just an example) It all depends on the user. If you use it right, then your good. But like I said, Ive been using it since MHF2, and I consider myself just short of perfect. But there is no such thing as perfect. Because I dont think there is such thing as perfect, because a hunter wouldnt be anything without his potions. chickencow i guess its not the longsword thats the noob but rather the user ya know? its cuz they trip the hell out of all the other ppl ur playing with. if u dont know how to use it right or sumthin and just spirit spam What about Lances and their charge? Switch axes and their upwards attack? Great swords and their upswing? Hammers and their upswing? They all knock people over, and if anything, fling them halfway across each area! Atleast we have the courtesy to only knock you on your a** for a little bit.

┐(￣ー￣)┌ A-ha ha ha! LS is wide range weapon aswell as most LS users does not spend a single thought on their fellow hunters and slice away like there is no tomorrow regardless of how many other players are within attack reach.
In other words, it usualy ends up as such that only the LS user is attacking the boss since the three other hunters are spending their time getting interrupted and sent staggering because of the LS user.

Long Swords..
-Their long range reach and Spirit Spambo
Hammers
-flying people
Switch Axe
-upper cut, Burst
Sword and Shield
-cutty cutty cutty
Lance
-people as Rhenoplos
Bow Gun
-THAT FRIGGEN AMMO THAT FLIES IN A WIDE RANGE THAT CAUSES YOU TO FLINCH A LOT
Great Sword
-Spin and upper cuts

If they made the weapon in the game then it's not a noob weapon, if the weapon is used by a lot of people then it's simply a popular weapon. If people say things about your weapon, ask them why they use theirs and if they say because I like it or it's strong then call them a noob weapon user.

its probably called a noob weapon because players use it from start to end. i guess some people think other players that its the only one they can wield...
i did that until i beat tigrex then i switched to hammers then DS. i still use them though.
