(Ooc note: This is mostly Rushil's capturing Aminah rp. The cubs will need to be in for a couple of posts but after that we'll just switch to a log for the rest of this so we aren't all trapped for even more months on the rp. For now, I'm starting with Aminah outside)
Aminah was relaxed, for the moment, taking some time away from her cubs and enjoying the evening breeze. The young ones were inside having dinner, some of which the lioness had already eaten, so she was content to relax and watch the sky. This was both for general enjoyment of the stars, and because she vaguely hoped for some sort of visitor.
It'd been a good few months ago when Rama had come to her and asked her to have cubs with him, and she hadn't exactly seen the God since then. He had most likely been a bit too busy to visit and see his offspring - something she attributed to his godhood, though there was really only so much the deity of Egotism could really be busy with - and so they were already quite big without having actually met him. He had also mentioned bringing a young male from a good pride to meet her, but so far, nothing. Again, it could be busyness - young males were hard to get to do things, as she'd learned in her youth from siblings and cousins.
So here she was, with a litter of growing cubs, and vaguely wondering if they'd ever have a father. It wasn't that she couldn't survive alone, it's that she didn't particularly want to. Being a mostly social creature, and the type who wanted to settle down and have a real family, raising cubs alone wasn't really Aminah's ideal life for her or her children. However, the lioness had told Rama she'd wait and meet the youth he thought would need a good mate, and she'd keep to her word. Though if it took too much longer, she'd find a way to get in touch with him and give him a very stern talking to about responsibility. For now, she still had patience.

Rama: “Oh come now, your mane looks fine, stop fussing.” Rama rolled his eyes as he padded forward. He remained in his god form, having little use of a mortal form, though for his companion’s sake he remained earthbound. His wings laid folded along his back, carefully positioned not to press too much against his now very full, very thick mane.
No amount of grooming would bring Rushil even close to his radiance. The cub wasn’t bad looking, he had a nice dark coat with a handsome set of spots and a silvery mane to complement- but he was only mortal. Despite his good looks, the cub seemed absurdly shy around females. Rama was a saint! At least that’s what he’d tell himself. He’d found a lovely female with strong genes and complementing colors to do his friend well. After all, he couldn’t remain within his pride without returning with a female at his side.
“Just keep your head up, shoulders back, lift your chin so it’s parallel to the ground, and lift up your paws. Walk with power, with pride!” He glanced over, noting the perplexed look his friend offered him in exchange for the unwanted advice. “It won’t kill you to learn proper posture.”
Rushil: The young male sighed and tossed the tuft of mane out of his face. He’d had his mother groom him to perfection before he left and still he didn’t feel it was adequate. Of course, they had been walking quite a ways and there was a breeze. It was entirely possible that all his mother’s work had been in vain and he was back to looking like he just rolled out of his den.
“I have proper posture, I’m just not throwing my weight around. I think you’re over-compensating.”
Rama: “Oh you would say that. I think you’re just jealous.” Rama snorted, eyes rolling. “Look… you see that cave there?” He paused mid-stride to lift a paw and point towards the distance. A large formation of stones stood out against the face of a very small cliff.
Rushil: “Well…yes I see the cave but is that female the one?” Rushil jerked his chin towards the white striped figure roaming about outside. She was…lovely. As Rama had suggested earlier, she was quite a find. Of course, the god of Egotism would likely not have anything, or anyone, that wasn’t worth a second glance.

Aminah heard voices approaching her den mere moments before she spotted the figures on the horizon. While one of them was smaller and unfamiliar - a few years older than her sons, by the looks of it - the larger one was definitely Rama. He was much bigger now than when they'd last met, with a full mane and an almost imposing figure - well it would be very imposing, did she not know him as well as she did.
A smile formed on her features as she strode forward slowly to greet them. "Good evening." Aminah said softly, voice calm, "I was just wondering when you might be coming to visit - the pair of you have impeccable timing."

Rushil: Rama reached over and gave Rushil a rough shove forward. The younger lion stumbled, nearly tripping over his paws. He managed to catch himself and throw dirty look over his shoulder. How rude! Now she’d think he was a clutz on top of everything else. What a horrible way to make a first impression. He cleared his throat and took a few steps forward.
“….I…uh…well…it’s good to meet you miss-”
Rama: "Aminah." Rama cut in as he stepped forward. "She has been needing a place to go, somewhere safe with someone strong and able. You'll do I suppose." The poor thing, Rushil standing in his shadow, having to raise his mortal but otherwise blessed children. Such a burden! But alas, such was the life of a faithful follower.

Aminah rolled her eyes at Rama's affectation and smiled brightly at Rushil, "It's good to meet you too. I trust this silly creature hasn't made you feel too required to come out here and see me or take care of his cubs." she remarked, taking a seat, reaching out to teasingly poke the god with her paw. She'd seen him at his worst and she'd borne his cubs, so Aminah was pretty positive she had the right to tease him a little, particularly in good fun.
"As he said, I am Aminah. And you are?"

Rushil: "CUBS!?" Rushil balked, snapping his attention over to his companion. He'd said nothing about the lioness having cubs! he should have known... there was always a string attached to Rama's version of 'kindness'.
"You have cubs and you- wait..." He glanced between the female and the god. "....you want me to raise...your cubs."
Rama: "Hey I'm sharing with you." The god shrugged. "She is a fine lioness, very good at taking care of a male, she has strong blood, and very good taste." He brushed back some of his mane. "Obviously."
Rushil: His maw twisted. It wasn't fair... he just left a lioness out alone to raise cubs on her own? Then expected him to be happy with it!? The poor girl...

Aminah's eye twitched a bit as she turned very slowly to look at Rama. "I'll take that as a 'Rama didn't even bother to inform you of the matter at all'." She stated, looking very much like she might swat the god in the head and tell him to go sit in the corner. He was behaving rather childishly. "That's very irresponsible of you, and rude."
Turning back to Rushil as if she were disgusted with his companion, she shook her head. "If you would prefer to bring home someone with fewer attachments, I wouldn't be offended at you. There are plenty of other young females in the area I could direct you to if need be?" she was gentle with Rushil, and a lot nicer - he hadn't done anything wrong and was just being tugged into this mess by his 'friend' after all, "And you need not worry too much about myself or my children when you make that decision. We'll manage all right, so don't feel obligated to do anything you don't want to."
About that time, a white furred male cub poked his head out of the den, spotting his mother and two males outside. Quickly, he sneaked forward to see who it was - maybe one of them was his long lost Daddy! He didn't sneak too effectively, as a bright white cub with blue stripes doesn't blend too well against the ground at night, but he did manage to make it quietly up to poke his head out from behind Aminah to look at Rama and Rushil in awe. "Wooooow..." he commented, before realizing he'd just drawn attention to himself. Oops!

Comotion, Taranis had been having a calm meal with his small group of siblings then yelling? He hadn't even known his Mother had company, a little jealous of the fact he stood without thought and followed his brother out the cave entrance. In all his days of life he hadn't not expected this day. There, standing with his Mother was a very bulky lion, he appeared somewhat..
"Hai fat lion with wings.. and other lion..." Taranis barked a bit as he became free of the darkness. He bore the dragon from his Father on his fore shoulder blade and wing markings, he didn't question his colorations until now, but even this moment he didn't realize who he was talking too. Not hisFather, nor a God at that, not even considering it be the God of 'Egotism' and that perhaps calling him fat might be a bad idea.
Ignorance really was bliss, and boy did Taranis have a loose tongue. "Mooom, who are these lions..?" he asked, glaring at Rama boldly.

Being left alone--the last one to leave a place--was never a good thing. There was safety in numbers, especially when you were young and small.
Umeme'eusi's eyes snapped wide open when he realized his siblings had already skittered out of the den to find their mother and the source of the other voices they had been hearing. His heart fluttered quickly in his small chest and he scrambled to his feet, paws slipping clumsily beneath him in his panic. He took a few sharp breaths through his nose, trying to calm himself and rationalize what to do next. He didn't like strangers. He was shy. NO, he wasn't shy--being shy was girly! He was...he just didn't like new people was all...
Eyes glazing over in thought, the young male clamped his jaw shut tight and took a few bold steps towards the exit of the den. The light of the evening was dim, so the juvenile's eyes adjusted to the scene outside almost immediately. He didn't do much observing, however, because once his eyes locked onto his mother's figure, he set his sites solely on her.
Taking a few deep breaths through his nose, head lowered a bit, the male seemed to brace himself before bolting out of the den and straight to his mother. He skidded to a halt behind her ankles, as if to hide, and nearly knocked one of his brothers aside in the process. Uttering some gurgled sound of apology, the male stopped his attempted speech and stared at the ground, letting his nose and ears do the observing.
Staring into someone's eyes was too...nerve-wracking.

Almas was perfectly content to eat and sleep in a cave all day. Sure, it was a little sad that no-one would be able to see her all too well, but it was worth it for not having to do anything. She was quite suited to the lifestyle where your every need was catered for. She was not, however, happy at being left alone in a cold, dark cave.
"Oi, don't leave me by myself!" she called after her siblings as they departed the cave one by one, to investigate the commotion outside. As Umemu left, Almas finally realized she'd have to follow them, and did so with her chest puffed out in an indignant manner. She strutted up to her mother with far more confidence than her other siblings, looking over the two strange lions as she did so. She looked them up and down, first Rama and then Rushil. Her eyes noticeably widened as she looked over Rama - he had wings! - but she didn't say anything.
Striding up to her mother, Almas sat down directly in front of her, looking up with a pout. "Mom. I'm bored." I wasn't a request - more of a demand for attention.

Rushil: “Yes well he conveniently left that part out.” Rushil commented behind a long sigh. It was a typical Rama move. The god wasn’t exactly unintelligent, but he could certainly pass off as a perfect idiot when it suited him. Sadly for him, Rushil was unable to see the ends to Rama’s means until they’d already been met.
On one hand, he’d have a Banu to return to his father with. Ender wouldn’t be the only one returning successfully from the outside. On the other hand, there were cubs that weren’t his to raise… more effort on his part- and all of them male to boot! It was a right mess…
Rama: “Oh my dear friend you know how much I like surprising you!” Rama chuckled lightly, bringing a paw to his chest.
He huffed, indignantly, at the young female. “I beg your pardon! Roped you into this? I believe it was a mutual agreement. You wanted a family, and look- you have one~! You have children spawned of the greatest and most noble god in the land. No doubt you are honored.”
Rushil: “No no, that wouldn’t be fair to you.” He waved a paw, still looking all the world like he’d been run over by a herd of stampeding water bison. “You are welcome to-” He froze, eyes going wide as a small head poked out from behind the lioness. One of the cubs, he assumed. It looked closer to his mother than Rama’s. As the others appeared, however, it became painfully obvious that Rama was indeed the father.
Rama: “Ah here they come! Let’s get a good look at you…” Rama stepped forward, flaring his wings out to either side as the cubs, one by one, emerged from their den. The first was a little skittish, clearly his mother’s son. The second was very obviously his. The wing markings, handsome black pelt, the-
….fat.
FAT!?
“Why you little rat!” Rama bristled, his mane lifting up from inbetween his hackles as his wings flared open. “How dare you call me that! You’ll do best to hold your tongue or I’ll have it.”
Rushil: The comment was rude, he’d give Rama that, but he couldn’t say it wasn’t well-deserved. Afterall, Rama had dumped a lioness with cubs out on her own. It must have been difficult to keep the young ones in order, teach them manners, and feed them all on her own. His mother had a difficult enough time, even with all the lionesses around to help raise them.
Rama: Before he could say anything further, another bundle of fur came plowing out of the den, skidding to a stop behind his mother’s ankles. Now this one resembled him the closest- and seeing as he didn’t snap off a smart little comment right off, he decided this one was his favorite. Now if only he’d show a little pride! Such cowardice was hardly befitting of a son of his.
“You there…. Come here, show yourself to your father. Tell me your name.” He motioned towards the small black cub, eyes narrowed.
Rushil: He sighed and shook his head slowly. Sons. All of them, it wasn’t a bad thing. In fact, it just meant one less thing for him to think about. Arranging pesars for daughters sounded like troublesome business. Learning which males had the best paw for raising one of his daughters, the best genetic lines… His thoughts came to a screeching halt as a single female padded out from the den. Her father’s colors in her mother’s patterns, not a bad combination… but trouble none the less. There were a good deal of pesars bearing sons, all of them no doubt would have eyes for the little one.
“So… is this all of them? They’re a charming lot.”

"Somehow I'm not surprised, though I am disappointed." the lioness assured him before turning and looking at Rama strangely. "I said nothing of you pulling me into anything strange. You and I had an agreement. I did, however, comment, that your friend was being pulled into things without the full information, which was not part of any agreement. Please get that new mane you've acquired out of your ears- it's impeding your hearing."
As her cubs piled out of the cave, the female looked down at them, shaking her head a bit. The first, she merely nodded her head at before pointing to the newcomers. "This would be Rama, he's your father, and that's his friend, whose name I don't know yet." she stated, pointing just as her second son came out and began to insult the former.
"Taranis, what have I told you about mouthing off? Even if he's being a jerk right now gives you no right to be offensive." she scolded the boy sharply, not fond of his misbehavior. That was going to get him into trouble one day, especially if he kept on insulting gods, whether or not they were being pigheaded.
Lifting a paw, she gently pet Umeme's soft fluff of a mane and his back a bit to soothe him before nudging the boy out. "Go on, go say hello hon."
Her daughter was showing, at this point, she was very much her father's little girl, and wanted to be the center of attention. "That's your father over there. Why don't you go say hello to him too?" Aminah said, nudging her towards Rama as well. Let him deal with his brood for a few moments, it would do him good.
The striped female sighed, nodding. "Yes, charming's one way to put it." she agreed, "They're well behaved, for the most part." at that, she shot Almas and Taranis looks - they'd be getting a very long talking to about their manners later.
"Don't worry about fairness to me, I'm an adult, I can deal with life not being fair." she assured Rushil with a smile, "You're still young, and if you aren't ready for dealing with raising cubs not your own, that's more than reasonable."

((The last of this was done over AIM)) Rama: Rama snorted and tossed his head upwards. In his mind, he had done nothing wrong. He never did. Everything was under control, it always was. At least in his mind. Sure things outside of his paws went downhill fast… leave it to mortals to make a mess out of everything. “It was supposed to be a surprise.” He insisted, “Unexpected, yes. Unpleasant, no. He needs a little excitement in his life.” Taranis. Well he had one name, not that it really mattered. They were his offspring, sure, but he wasn’t obligated to hang around and dote on them. It was more or less Rushil’s job now. It was, after all, his family. A handsome family, with the blood of a god running through their veins. He should be grateful! Beyond words! “A jerk? Well excuse me.” He shot a dark look to the lioness and flicked the tip of his tail. “That is no way to introduce them to their sire! You’re practically encouraging disrespect. How dare you.”
Rushil: He couldn’t help but feel a little overwhelmed by the whole affair. He’d expected a banu to take back with him back to the pride. He could just see his father’s face beaming at his ‘catch’, his gruff voice complementing his taste in woman and praising his son’s diligence. However, he wasn’t sure how Faiz, or the pride itself, would view Rushil returning with an entire family. There were three males and only one female. Technically, it was Rama’s right to decide the little one’s future, not his. To look over the interested males and nudge her towards the one that could buy their family honor. He wasn’t even sure he was ready for a mate, much less cubs. “Perhaps I can find another lady…” He rubbed the back of his head, his brow creasing, “You know…to help raise the cubs. I’m not exactly father material and it can’t be easy.”
Aminah: Aminah shook her head at Rama. "If you want them taught differently, behave differently and come teach them yourself. You decided you wanted no part of their lives so you have no say in their education." she pointed out to the lion. "If you wish their respect, show them why they should respect you and teach your children like a proper father."
Turning back to Rushil, the female nodded. "It's all right. I understand why you feel that way. Would you like me to direct you to some less attached females in the area? It's a bit of a journey and they may require a bit more convincing to leave, but I'd be happy to help you."
Rama: "Uh.... Earth to Aminah, I don't teach anyone." He shifted a glance to the female and raised a thin brow. "They should just naturally fall into acceptable hehavior. They do have a superior father afterall. Why wouldn't they?"
Hopefully, he added as a mental side-note, they'd not take too much after Rushil. The male was a good guy but he was too....nit-picky about all the wrong things. He'd fuss over a trinket while his hair was in desperate need of attention. Not the best role-model but at least it meant Rama's paws were free.
Rushil: "No no...." He sighed and waved a paw. "I just don't...adapt well. I'm sure we'll get along. You need a home and I need a lady. I'm sure the...cubs will make plenty of friends and all that... my mother will be happy to help raise them. I'm no expert but she's been a little sad ever since my siblings and myself grew out of our baby spots."
Aminah: Aminah didn't bother to deign Rama's comments with any form of attention - really, if he was going to say something silly like that, he could face the consequences himself. However, not wanting his god father to be insulted, or feel too left out, Etana hopped up and wandered over to sit by Rama, bravely taking on the task of occupying him. "Faaather, why don't you tell us about yourself?" he asked, trying to look cute and innocent and praying his siblings didn't hit him for this.
The white lioness smiled a little at that, "That's very kind of you to think of your mother as well. I'm sure adapting won't be too hard over time." she added with a small chuckle - not the sort laughter that one might make at Rama when he was being impossible, but more of a soft, friendly thing that in a way showed she was still a young lioness and could be perfectly pleasing if she tried.
Rama: Tell him about himself?! The poor cub was all too unaware of the can of worms he'd just managed to open. Rama practically inflated, his maw tugged into a wide smile, and he sucked in a long, deep breath.
"Well, you see your father is a god. I reign supreme in the lands beyond the clouds. My wings cause the lightning and thunder-" Actually his mother's did but that was a minor detail, "My roar shakes the foundations of the earth, my mane can cover the skies, and my eyes light the night. You are very fortunate."
Rushil: Rushil's expression dulled as his friend began rambling. On and on. The only thing that Rama posessed that could possibly blot out the sun was his inflated ego.
"We'll see... but we should get going. If I'm gone too long....father may think the worst."
Aminah: Etana had luckily been told his father loved to exagerate, which is good because that kept the cub from asking how the hell his father's mane could cover the skies if it was right here.
"Yes," Aminah agreed, glancing at the little ones, "We need to cut his godliness off before he really gets on a roll." she stated and immediately walked over to put a paw over Rama's mouth . "That's enough for now - I'm sure they're amazingly impressed, but we do need to get going."
Rama: Rama slowly reached a paw up to push Amina's away from his mouth. "...very well. I suppose they do need to have some things left up to the imagination. We don't want to ruin all the suprises right off."
He gendly judged her over to Rushil. "There you go. He'll care for you lot, just....be sure to keep clean. And them. I will grace you with my presense once I attend to some...very important godly things."
Rushil: "... your hair." Rushil replied dully, much to Rama's aggitation.
Aminah: Aminah smiled knowingly and shooed the little ones back to the den to make sure they had everything they were bringing with them - any trinkets they didn't want left behind. "Shouldn't take more than a few moments to be ready." she assured the two, heading in to make sure they kept in time and to fetch a trinket she'd been given by a dear friend some time ago. After that, it would be on to new and different things, but the lioness had a feeling they'd all get used to it, one way or another.
