Cloudless skies were boring, she decided. It took most of the day for her to come to that conclusion, having spent most of her free time lying about in the shade with her eyes pointed toward the blue expanse above. Usually she'd be spending her free time out and about, exploring every nook and cranny she came across, but today she just wasn't.. in the mood? She blamed the heat of the sun for that. It just seemed so much hotter that day, what with no clouds to block out the sun every now and again. And so she sighed, reaffirming her thoughts on how 'blah' the day has been due to the lack of the white puffy stuff in the sky.
Tana rolled onto her back then, the branches and leaves of the tree she was sitting under blocking her view of the sky. She smiled at that, then snorted. "I really need something to do," the lioness muttered as a breeze passed, causing a leaf to detach from its mother tree and begin the slow descent to the ground below. It twirled a little as it fell, eventually landing on Tana's chest while she thought. It caught her attention just as it landed and she made a face.
"Wonderful. Is that supposed to be some kind of sign?" she asked no one in particular, poking at the loose piece of foliage.

Ahadi was determined to have a good day. Determined. It was going to happen. Right now. Come on. Good day. Lets go.
It seemed Etana'Dalila and he had something in common. It was just too hot to have a good day. And Ahadi had insisted on running around outside and attempting to do what he usually did. Of course, the inevitable result was, he ended up miserable. He was panting and his tongue was lolling out and his head was hanging lamely. It was just too hot!
He spotted a tree, and it was like heaven. The lion hurried to it, only to find that it was taken. He frowned slightly, sitting a couple yards away and making a sad, defeated face. He inched a bit closer. "Excuse me, mind if I join you?" Puppy face time.

His voice surprised her, and the shock had her suddenly roll over onto her stomach and eye the other a little annoyed-like. Tana looked him over and shrugged at his question. "Big tree, lots of shade.. so I guess not?" she replied, scooting a little to give him even more space. Or.. give herself more space? She didn't like being in ridiculously close proximity with strangers.
"Nice weather we're having," she said boredly, snorting right after she'd said it. "I'm Tana, who're you?" Straight to the point was usually how she went about doing things when she wasn't in too great a mood. Usually she'd get to making up some big fat lie or something just for fun but it really was just too hot for her to even enjoy doing what she enjoyed doing the most. "Don't suppose you're just out on a stroll?"

Ahadi quite literally let out a sigh of relief and happily collapsed under the shade of the tree. Unlike her, he didn't worry about proximity, but wasn't making an effort to get close, either. He laughed slightly at the comment about the weather. Oh yes, lovely outside. "Wonderful." He sighed, closing his eyes and enjoying the shade. It was so hot it felt like his eyelids were burning.
"I'm Ahadi, nice to meet you, Tana." He introduced himself distractedly, not exactly looking at her. "And oh, you know. I thought I wasn't going to let a hot day stop me..." He snorted at his own foolishness. Finally, he opened his eyes, looking up at her (from his position on his back, on the floor) curiously.
"Hey, you a pridelander too?" Funny, it seemed like tons of them had migrated over! (Or, well, two including him)

She smirked, glad to see that he didn't seem to mind her sense of humor. Some found it not that funny while others completely missed it and answered honestly. Those kinds of people were boring too, at least to her. Tana stayed quiet and just watched Ahadi for a moment, a little amused to see how relieved he was under the shade. Really, it was too hot. Where the heck were all the clouds!?
"Likewise, and yeah.. I am." The lioness raised a brow at that, wondering how he put two and two together after only knowing her for oh, what? Not even five minutes? "How'd you figure that out?" she asked. "Judging by the 'too' at the end of that sentence I'm guessing so are you?"
Well duh. Still, if he hadn't said anything she probably wouldn't have commented on where either of them had originally come from.

Ahadi grinned. "You look kinda like someone I know." He would gesture to the marking on her rump, but that somehow seemed rude. "Or, well, a lot of people, I guess." Pridelanders did still have that very...well, yellow coat. Though maybe it wasn't as dominant. He supposed yellow fur didn't necessarily mean pridelander, though.
"Yep, pridelander here. But I like here more." OOr else he wouldn't have moved, duh. "Actually, I met another pridelander here, and she's the one that looks kinda like you! Her name is Ma'Rihn, know her?" He contemplated asking whether or not they were related, because it seemed a lot of pridelanders were related. But that's okay.

Ah, yeah. Tana snorted a little, though more amused than anything else. "Ma'Rihn, you said?" she asked just to be sure, but didn't bother waiting for an answer. She waved her paw and replied, "Yeah. Grew up with her actually," she said. "She's my sister." Funny. She didn't run into her sister on the way over. Then again they weren't exactly all that close so it wasn't that surprising. Tana smirked then, a little more interested now that she and Ahadi had something more in common other than where they were born and raised.
"So how is my sister these days?" the lioness went on to ask. She was curious at least, if only a little. "I don't remember the last time I actually talked to her."

Ahadi tilted his head up at her, quietly pleased with himself for making a connection between the two. Clearly they knew each o--oooh, siblings. Really? "Yeah! That's funny. I thought you might be cousins or something," like many pridelanders were. "I didn't think you were sisters!" He was pretty happy at this discovery. He should let Ma'Rihn know he ran into her sister.
"Oh, she's fine. She's in the Mantis clan, she really likes it there." Or, that's the impression he got. Which brought him to his next comment. "She's...really shy."

"Yeah," she replied with a chuckle. "It's easy to guess who's related to who if they're from the Pridelands. In most cases anyway." Tana's head kind of tilted as he talked about how her sister was, and though she asked in actuality she was more or less indifferent. Curious sure, but indifferent. More or less. "Well good for her," was all she said once Ahadi was done talking. "About finding a place she likes I mean. The shy thing.. is probably something she'll work through slowly."
There was a lull in their conversation after that, and then, "How'd you guys meet?" she thought to ask.

"Yeah." It seemed like everyone in the pridelands was related, some way or another. At least after a while relations were distant enough. Ahadi had a theory that you could grab just about any pridelander and trace it back to a couple main bloodlines.
...Not that it worried him. Just amused him.
He nodded distarctedly at her comment, briefly pondering on Etana's sister. He should go other he again sometime soon. "Uuuh, just bumped into each other, I guess. Not long after the ceremony." He shrugged.
It wasn't that Ahadi minded when conversations started to die out, he was just one of those guys that rarely felt awkward. But it seemed sometimes other people did, so he was always happy to make an effort to be conversational. "How did you end up here?"

Made sense. She recalled that during the ceremony there had been a rather large group of joining rogues, so once again it really wasn't all that surprising that two had 'just bumped into each other' at some point. In this case it just so happened that she was related to one of them. Eh.
When the subject switched over to her she shrugged and looked away for a second. "I got bored with the Pridelands I guess," she answered. "Nothing new to see, so I wandered out into the roguelands and found this pride by chance. It caught my attention so I joined. I haven't decided whether or not I'll be staying permanently, but for now I guess I consider it home."
"What about you?" she asked almost as soon as she'd answered his question. She really wasn't too comfortable talking about herself. Not with someone who was more or less a stranger anyway.
