The docks were old and worn with fading stain. It was hard to know the true age of the docks as the salt air and the passing years left the wood worn and weathered. Some said with the way the boards creaked as they rubbed against each other they were as old as Porta Denia itself. Others said the salt air and the weather had caused the docks to age rather quickly. Whatever their true age, the docks at the Porta Denia port authority held a a vast history that stretched back to the town's less than stellar past.

It was said that the first dock built on the island was nothing more than a crudely constructed weekend project. Don Fattorino had made his men construct the dock in order to give his ship a place to dock while the Claw and Hammer was being built. No one knew for certain if that was true or not but it made for a good bit of island lore. The people of Porta Denia and the dock workers especially loved the legends and lore surrounding the island and its infamous docks.

One tale told of how Don Fattorino held court with the head of the Kuro gang. No one who currently worked the docks knew if this was true or not. Those that did know had long since died of old age, some disease, or were killed in the Uprising. Yet the tale made for a good story that enhanced the mystery and mystique of Porta Denia's crime filled beginnings.

The winds on the southern side of the island blew strong causing the iron bell near the port authority offices to ring at steady five second intervals. In the distance the soft gentle roar of the Denia Falls breaking over the jutting boulder accompanied the sounds of airships creaking against the old worn docks. The ships that came into the docks were far and few between since the first airship that started from Denia went missing. Not many captains wanted to start their journeys from Denia anymore as they feared the port town cursed the ships that moored at her docks.

Yet, at the same time it did not stop the weary traveler from stopping for a day or two for a bit of rest, good drink, and fresh supplies. Airship crews and travelers alike would tie their ships to the docks spend what little time they had available in the tavern, the diner, or the inn socializing and chatting the good chat with locals and fellow travelers alike. Everyone who spent any amount of time in Porta Denia began their journey at the docks and the port authority.

Amber Demidov was sitting on a nearby crate that was placed on the docks, a large sketchbook being supported by her left arm. Her right arm was moving anxiously, the black drawing pencil in her small hand marking up the surface of the thick paper. She was making a rough sketch of what she saw before her: a wide angle distortion view of the Port Dernia Docks with the docked ships, the vast sky, the people...

"Hmm..." She hummed to herself, pausing in her work to close her eyes. Its been a while since she has felt so calm.

Just recently docking at the docks, The Bleu Riverie's trails of vapor that was following the ship, as if it was a ghost ship of some sort, only the vapors were quite warm. Letting down a walkway from the boat to the dock, small hooks held the boat in place. Then the boat's only "passenger" came walking off the boat.

He had yellow fur, but parts of his fur was orange as well! Dressed a bit warm yet light for his voyage to this port. He took a comb out of his pocket and began to comb his mane a bit, his hair a bit messed up from all the steam his boat was throwing (not to mention the wind in the skies!) He lets out a sigh. "Always a pain to fix up!" He grumbled to himself, walking off in a random direction and focused on his golden hair.

Amber slowly opened her eyes when she heard the sound of someone boarding off of a ship. When she craned her head to the source of the noise in one direction, her eyes were immediately glued on the recently docked ship and then towards what appeared to be a person walking off of it. He seemed to be distressed about his 'hair'.

"Odd." She blinked twice to try to clear her vision.
