I got the first game when it came out and I've actually enjoyed the series to a certain extent, so what exactly do I dislike about Halo?First of all the story is extremely cliche and generic.Secondly the science fiction is really boring and unimaginative, as a fan of both science fiction and science.Lastly the game doesn't have much to offer other than multiplayer which is not really revolutionary or evolutionary.

I think you're thinking about this too much is modern-times.
First off, the story to Halo is actually rather original, the story represented in the games however, isn't necessarily. This is unfortunately all most people know however.
Science fiction is science fiction, there really isn't much one can do for originality here except for the story.
And when it first came out, Halo's multiplayer WAS quite revolutionary, and the Forge system presented in Halo 3 still is.

The first game rocked a**. Even though, it was hard due to many monsters everywhere and the lack of ammo and health, it was good. Especially the ending where you run away in a vehicle. Also, you can't expect much from a old game but who they do have a lot of imagination. How they made the rifles, sub-m. guns and the snipers along with the alien guns, also the vehicles and the maps. Also, the buildings and spaceships.

eh. The multiplayer back in those days was awesome (For the PC version. Xbox version multiplayer was fail). And I know a few people who still play it to this day, and would completely rape anyone who challenged one of em.
You can't put Sci-fi and Science together. It's why they are grouped apart from each other.

Well yes you can make science fiction based on theorized technologies that are scientifically plausible.I don't expect perfection but the world of Halo is pretty damn bland and boring.

I don't like Halo either. Then again I'm not much of a first person shooting type of gamer.

George Lucas? Really?
You ARE talking about the guy who made 6 movies where there was sound in space, right? A contradiction of science.
But on a brighter note: Games are games. Who cares how 'real' they are, or how original they can be. it's how they take what they have and run with it.
