The Vice-Captain of Division 4's office is plain and simple. There is a large desk by the window and several book cases containing old reports and files. On the back wall are photos of some of the previous 4th division Captains and Vice-Captains. There is also a shogi board on a coffee table next to a sofa and lounge chair and for those who know there is also a cupboard behind one of the photos containing a large bottle of saki and several cups.

Hiroyuki sat at the desk in his own little office, quietly finishing off his paper work. It was one of the most important things to do in Squad 4, except to the lower ranks where the most important job was resupply the barrack kitchen. He sighed as he thought about this. When they said he would be in the 4th division and he'd be one of the most valuable assets to the gotei 13, he didn't think it meant cleaning the squad 11 barracks. But now he was the Vice-Captain he had better duties to take care of, like deciding which of his trusting squad mates would... He carefully read through the form he was looking at "Unclog the 9th squad bathroom..." Hiroyuki smacked his head on the desk. "So much for important duties."

Amongst the grandeur of Hua Shan

Hiroyuki finished up the last of his work before he got up and picked up his zanpakuto. It was time for his rounds and as always he had to check each of the training grounds. He remembered the first time he went there on his rounds, he had to heal several trainee soul reapers who had blown themselves up with a miss fired kido. Locking up his office and attaching his zanpakuto to his belt he headed off.

Hiroyuki returned to his office and sat down. He threw his empty sake bottle in the bin and pulled out another from his desk draw. The pressure of work was getting harder on him and all he wanted to do was drink it away.

By now there were three empty bottles across Hiroyuki's desk, the remaining contents of one dribbled to the floor. Hiroyuki was leaning backwards in his chair, by leaning backwards I mean to say flat on against the floor. He was completely drunk and had gone to sleep in his chair a while ago which explained his current situation. If someone was to come in they would hear him snoring and see a pair of legs poking up from behind the desk. The creepy thing however was that Hiroyuki slept, with his eyes open. eek This bizzare trait freaked out alot of people the first time they see it, but it's quite usefull during a boring meeting.
