AIM Log: Greenie 0_0 & _ p a o cx Kaito was off wandering now, his eye's were restless, seeking something he just couldn't seem to find, he felt denied something. "Oh darn.." He grumbled softly, curiosity peaking and dropping for indefinite amounts of time and no matter what he found, it just didn't fill his heart the way he wanted to, fill his eager mind and satisfy his urge to learn.
He had turned to waiting now, figuring whatever the urge was, either it would pass or it'd come to him. He yawned, tail flopping lightly in boredom he was at peace for now. Having found a new flower he'd never seen before. It was beautiful, white with blue tint and bright green leaves. He lay, positioned purposely so he could watch it from a distance.A little white goddess scampered along through the savanna, a giddy smile spread wide across her young face. This was the first time she'd left her mother's side and so it was the first time she really noticed that everything was just so.. dull. At least compared to the shimmering, lustrous crystals that hung and made noise whenever they touched. A beautiful sound, actually, almost musical. Zuri loved the sound of her crystals! And so she went in her true form, smiling and staring in one direction after another, the brown eventually just melting together so she eventually gave up on the surroundings and instead decided to look for something beautiful to look at. Maybe something as pretty as her crystals! Well.. that'd be impossible, but she could at least try.
The little goddess hummed a soft tune as she went along when, while in mid-hum, she noticed a flower that really stood out from the brown in the background. The smile that she'd started this little adventure with returned and, with renewed vigor, she approached without caution. "Pretty!!" she exclaimed happily, leaning down and poking at the flower with her nose. "The petals look like my crystals!" So she took a seat, tail swaying energetically behind her and contented herself with staring at the little flower, occasionally poking at it with a delicate paw. A part of her expected it to make a sound like her crystals did, so she was a little disappointed when nothing happened. Still, she poked and hoped. Maybe it would make a sound after a little bit of coaxing.Eye's were weary, he imagined he was dreaming when a beautiful creature, as beautiful as anything he'd ever seen just swooped in on his latest staring contest. He tried to mutter words, but felt no ability to utter a single thing. "Hey!" He suddenly blurted and scampered up, eye's wide and body trying to act big and tough. It was a girl, he could hear the echoes of a shout so he relaxed a bit, muscles screaming at him for the sudden tension and relaxation. Kaito ignored it and stared again. "M-Miss..?" He asked softly, she was mighty, and.. were those wings?! He sat down as suddenly as he had blurted hey. "M-Miss.. you might h-hurt the flower..." He stated softly, words hardly audible by any regular lions ear.She didn't notice that someone had approached her as she stared. In fact, she didn't really take notice of anything except the little flower that not sat before her and, when she finally heard the words coming from someone she was no doubt unfamiliar with (as she'd never met anyone outside of her own family) she turned her attention to it and was surprised to see a lion a little way's away from her, so with that same cheerful smile she greeted him.
"Hey!" she called over, waving a paw so the lion would come closer. She'd never met a lion before so she was pretty excited. She was easily excited though, so it didn't take much to get her going. "Hey! C'mere!!" she called again, hoping it heard her. She blinked a bit, then called again. "There's something really pretty over here!! You'll like it! Pro~mise!!"Kaito was nerved by the whole scenario. The little flower had grabbed a winged lioness' attention so easily, he suddenly made a connection, she was a cub? He proceeded to think himself silly, she was to big to be a cub. "Oh, uhm sure~" He said slowly and approached her cautiously, she seemed innocent enough and he did love the flower a lot. "Oh!" He admired slowly. "What beautiful jewelery!" He commented shyly, he was about 5 feet away now, five BIG feet. He trusted her presence, but didn't know, and that not knowing is what secured his staying his distance.
"your pretty rocks match the flower!" He gasped softly, he'd never seen crystal before, it was beautiful, catching different lights in such ways as to grab some different colors as well. Astonished was the way to describe Kaito as he was now. "My name is Kaito." He says, a grin placed itself willingly on his lips as her chatter slid into another fainted echo.

Still blinking this time she decided to take the initiative and, without really thinking, she spread her tiny little wings and flew on over. She landed less than two feet away, still smiling and nodding happily. "Yep!" Somehow she heard she this lion had said, though she wasn't entirely aware exactly how unnerved he was about meeting one such as her. Wings weren't entirely normal.. though this kind of went unnoticed by her. Zuri, the smile never leaving her maw (as she was almost always in a good mood), flapped her wings a bit. The crystals dangling from them resounded softly and she giggled.
"Thanks! I like 'em too." She laughed a little and stretched out one of her wings, glancing back to appreciate not the wings, but the crystals that were hanging down. "My mom likes 'em even more than me! She says they're really shiny! Mom likes shiny things; really likes 'em, y'know. Oh, I'm Zuri by the way! What's your name?" The cub lessened the distance between them as she took a few steps toward the other, not minding that he was still a complete stranger to her. Tilting her head it was just then that she noticed that he didn't have wings like her. She blinked again. "Hm? Say, where'd your wings go?"
Kaito was literally trying to bend backwards from the female invading his personal bubble now, he pretended not to care, but it was very hard. "Hello Zuri.' He said, voice very formal and kind of stiff, his previous grin dissapated and he heaved in a deep breath. The clinking of her 'crystals' as she had called them relaxed him a little and a small hint of a grin hit his lips. Then, like a bomb from the sky came her next questions, where were his wings. "My wings?" He asked slowly, staring at hers, she was staring at them, soon realizing she was actually staring at her crystals.
"Well.. I've never seen anyone here with wings!" He stated, slowly. "At least, like I said, I've never seen anyone here with them? Perhaps you're the one I should be asking, and about hwy YOU have wings?" He stared directly into her eye's, his unnerved feelings were beginning to disappear slightly. he was confident in his question and waited for an equally confident answer. He didn't know what to think of the creature standing before him. His lessons hadn't included anything like this!
Her wings? "Hm.." she mused for a moment, her lower lip kind of sticking out as she thought about it. "I was born with them?" she answered, not really knowing how else to answer. She looked at him, hoping it was a good enough answer. When he smiled a little at the sound of her crystals her own smile widened a bit and she forgot about the rather strange question she'd just been asked. She clinked them again, the sound rather soothing. "Well maybe you just haven't been around much!" she said, her mood back to what it had been just moments ago. "My whole family's got wings y'know! My brother and sister, mom and dad too! Dad doesn't really hang around though. I should ask him why..."
And she went one for a while, then came back to her current conversation with the other and realized that he hadn't introduced himself yet. "Hey! Hey, hey wait!!" she said, raising a paw and shoving it in his face to get him to stop whatever he was saying (though he already finished speaking so she didn't really have to). "You haven't told me your name yet. That's just rude, and asking me all sorts of questions too!" She furrowed her brows, a cute sort of irritated expression now on her face. "C'mon, tell me already!! Tell me, tell me!!"
"Oh!" He proclaimed again, he was almost getting dizzy with how shocked he was getting, again and again. "My name is Kaito, just Kaito, nice and simple." He said quickly, the female was getting upset. He knew that upset females were a problem to deal with. But females with wings, imagine the possibilities! "Please don't hurt me!?" He winced slightly and shrugged away a bit, tumbling to the ground a little. Tail over head then back again, rolling twice in total and making a toatl fool of himself.
"Kaito, erm... at your service, so long as you don't hurt me!" He broke into a large smile, just imagining what he looked like at the time.
He was acting a little strange, even his introduction was a little funny. When he tumbled back after asking her not to hurt him she broke into a fit of giggles and plopped her rump down after she got a hold of herself. Zuri lowered her head so it was somewhat level with his and smiled that wide, friendly smile. "Why would I hurt you?" she asked, tilting her head a little bit. "I just asked for your name so I don't keep saying 'you' and things like that. It's rude y'know!" At that she hovered over, crystals tinkling as she went, and started to help him onto his feet, saying, "You know you're kinda funny Kaito, just Kaito, nice and simple."

He laughed with her, feeling a bit lighter and happier. She was no threat, nothing to fear only to enjoy. "Well i don't know, you never know who may go and rage on something!?" He said, a heaving sigh relaxed him for once and all. "You're right, it is rude, I'm sorry for you to feel rude." He said, finally standing to let his eye's follow female flying about. "Zuri, you're pretty funny yourself! And just plain pretty!" He winked in a friendly fashion and suddenly felt ready to play. "Do you know any games you like to play?" He asked her, ears forward and listening.
Seeing that he'd finally loosened up Zuri felt a bit more excited now. She nodded at his apology and let it go as it hadn't really been that big a deal before going deep in thought, brows furrowed once again as she really put her all into thinking about what games she liked to play. Keeping in mind that he didn't have wings and couldn't play any games that involved flying there was..
Ah! She beamed at the thought. "I play keep away with my sister's cloak thing!" she said with a bit of a laugh. "She gets real mad but I think she secretly enjoys it, y'know!" Though they didn't have her sister's cloak to begin with so that idea was a bust, and it was back to the drawing board. "Mm...maybe tag? I usually fly for that so it wouldn't be fair though..."
"Well... hmm.." He pondered lightly, she had so much more available game space than he did and he almost felt bad that he was keeping her grounded. "Perhaps we could play I Spy?" He asked, he figured he was a bit older and thus had more ideas perhaps? He still wasn't sure. "It's a fun game, and doesn't matter if we're flying or standing, it's what is in front of us!" He smiled proudly at his game idea, he prayed she liked the idea he had nothing else for them to play if that fell through. All of the others game he could think of required her to stay grounded or him to fly. He sighed lightly and smiled hopefully.
"I Spy?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. "I've never played that game a'fore." Zuri was more used to moving around when playing, so she never thought about games that didn't involve some kind of physical activity. She was an active cub, but still. This would be her first friend without wings, a mortal, so it was at least worth a shot. Who knows, it might be fun in its own way. Games were called games because they were fun, right? "Sure!" she said, smiling wide and bobbing her head to and fro in an almost head-bang like nodding motion. "How d'you play though?"
Kaito nodded slowly, forgetting that she may not know as much as he wouldn't know about her games. She was of course clueless to it and thus made him smile a bit bigger. "Well.. how 'I Spy' work is.. " He pauses to think hard on how to describe this then speaks again. "All you have to do is pick something, anything... and say - 'I spy with my little eye something that is --' and describe what you picked. That way I can guess and you can say yes or no." He smiles, hoping he did well with description, but knew he wasn't so great with words.

She blinked as he explained to her the mechanics of the game. When he was done she took a few moments to process it and nodded when it finally clicked for her. "Sounds easy enough," she said slowly, then glanced around to take in her surroundings. "I think around here it might be a little hard though," and she frowned. It was savanna no matter where she looked, which meant that it'd be harder for her to win. She liked to win. Really, who didn't? "Okay.. then! I spy with my little eye something that is...." Zuri giggled as she glanced around, "Shiny!"
Hmr.. Kaito thought lightly. "Shiney.." He whispered, peering about tenderly at each item. He admired her quickly and spotted the pretty rocks attached all over her. "Is it your pretty rocks?" He asks, if it were that, he'd almost feel bad for her choosing something so easy. "They seem to sparkle and shine a bunch!" He proclaimed lovingly. He hadn't been in love, but eh imagined that seeing something as pretty as the rocks she wore coudl cause it.
She shrugged and nodded, not too surprised that he figured it out quickly. Her rocks were the shiniest thing around for.. who knows how far the next shiny thing was. "Yeah," she said almost sheepishly. "Well there's not much around here!" she said in her defense, taking another look around. Zuri's brows furrowed at the thought of not winning, what with her being at a disadvantage, but she hated it when someone just let her win. She preferred to earn it, of course. "So it's your turn," she finally went on, turning her attention back to Kaito. "What're you gonna pick?"
He had to think hard, but make it something easy. So he picked what he thought would be best. A challenge, but easy enough. "I spy.. something that is white!" He called happily. "I can't teeeell you what I pick silly!" He smiled cheekily. So many things around them were white, but he was in search of something particular.
White? Glancing around she couldn't help but think 'what the heck around us is white!?', and she furrowed her brows in thought. "White.. white.... white....." she murmured, thinking to herself while observing the area carefully. "Me?" she said softly, though it was more a passing thought than anything. After a while she looked up, realizing that the sky was also a part of their surroundings and spotted the white of a cloud passing by. She grinned. "A cloud!?" she asked, looking at Kaito hopefully. "Is it a cloud?"

He giggled softly as she got super excited. He shook his head at her first guess. "You are beautifully white and such, but not what I am looking for.. not a cloud either." He grinned wickedly, Kaito was now enjoying himself. He made one mistake though and gazed at the flower they'd been looking at a few minutes ago. The flower that had brought them together for play time. She frowned when he said that she'd gotten it wrong, but with a huff she decided not to give in and keep looking. Purple-blue eyes scanned their surroundings yet again, and as they did she noticed two thing and said, "I spy the sun going down Kaito." She said it slowly and, and her excess energy seemed to have completely gone only to be replaced with a feeling of worry. "I have to go home.. my mom's gonna be really mad if I'm not there!" She stood to leave, briefly smiling at her new friend. "Um.. before I go could you tell me please? What you saw that was white, I mean. There's nothing here.."Kaito smiled wearily, he hadn't noticed how late it was getting and he too was getting tired. "Mmm.. the sun IS going down, good eye's Zuri." He smiled sweetly. and nodded at her fretting about her Mother. He understood completely. "The flower, I spied the flower. It's beautiful whiet complexion nearly matches yours!" He said happily, and yawned promptly after. "I hope to see you again, soon maybe?" He smiled again, this time hopefully.Of course! The flower was what had initially caught her attention in the first place. Zuri could hardly believe she missed it now that she'd made a new friend. "The flower!" she said, smiling widely and laughing, mostly at herself for missing something so obvious. "It is pretty, it is! Kinda like me, I remember I said that a little while ago." Giggling, she started off, only looking back at Kaito for a second to say goodbye. "I'll try to come back tomorrow, 'kay! I'm gonna practice this game with my brother and sister so I'll win tomorrow! Just watch!" she called back, then she turned and went off. She started running at first, then after a bit she skid to a stop, spread her wings instead and took off toward the sky.[ 24 :: 3,086 ]
