The office is split into two seperate sections, with a black curtain acting as a divider between them. When one walks in, the first thing they will see is the desk and the papers neatly organized on top of it. There are filing cabinets in the corner of the room, and a seperate table with two chairs to the lower left of the desk (from the entering person's point-of-view). If one were to go directly right upon entering, they would pass through the black curtain and see a simple bed, a few wardrobes, and a small bookshelf with some reading material whenever the Captain has free time...

Haruko walks in, taking the scenery in, and looking for his captain "hello Captain, I am Haruko Ryu, I have been assigned as your Vice captain, I look forward to serving under you" He said respectfully.
(mind you, haruko is nervous, anybody who knows him can tell, due to the overly respectful tone in his voice, he is usually happy go lucky, and he never seems to take things seriously, emphasis on seems)

Tadashi Sakamoto

2nd Division Captain

Tadashi looked up just as he was about to sign the temporary leave form for the 16th seat. About five seconds later, Haruko walked in without so much as a knock. Frowning, he waited until the boy was finished speaking and stood up slowly, his open palms placed firmly on the desk but his head looking directly at the Lieutenant. "I believe its common courtesy to knock the door of the taicho's office before entering," he said coldly. Captain Sakamoto was the leader of the 2nd squad for a reason, after all. He knew with the short notice that he'd been given that the Lieutenant was coming, he knew everything the Soul Society's archives had to say about the new person, and he had with great displeasure already noted Haruko's current state and was making a point to scare the man into line.

Tadashi Sakamoto was a no-nonsense type of leader - he was famous for his cruelty in dealing with squad members and prisoners alike. It was, of course, quite standard for the 2nd Division's Captain to act in such a way. Special Ops was an understatement of the duties he was expected to oversee. As the leader of the Omnitsukido and a seperate military division, he had to work almost without rest to maintain everything to code (and not just the Seireitei's code either).

"I expect for you to be able to keep the men in-line at all times. In the case of my death, you will be acting Captain - thus, you will need to know everything that goes with my position and perform such tasks as keeping tabs on the Maggot's Lair or the Messenger Unit. For now, you will committ yourself to drilling the squad to the utmost of your ability. I will expect nothing less than the standards I have already set in place. You will also review the Omnitsukido's duties in your spare time. If everything I said has been understood, nod your head. If you need me to repeat myself, I will refer you to another unit. To be Omnitsukido is to sacrifice yourself for the good of the Seireitei - meaning your free time shall be severely limited," finished Tadashi, speaking as if he had a very big appointment and his Lieutenant was getting in the way of the engagement. He waited for the response.

(well, here goes my attempt at an acceptable post, sorry iff I do not match up sweatdrop )

Haruko was kneeling in front of his captains desk, listening intently to his captains words. He waited calmly for his captain to finish speaking before he stood up grinning devilishly. "I understand perfectly, I will keep everyone in line and I will live up to you expectations" He replied with a nonchalant tone to his voice. Haruko was the damn near opposite to his captain. He was calm, and to anybody who didn't know him, he was stupid. In actuality Haruko was a tactical genius, as well as the fastest, and most deadly Lieutenant in the Soul Society. In terms of speed he could easily keep up with most captains in terms of speed. Haruko was not a man to openly express fear, pain, and or sorrow. He could not be scared easily, and his seemingly constant good mood was intimidating to most people.

"I do feel that I need to make some things clear here, and I will list them off for you. I respect you as my captain, and I will never disobey orders. My life for the mission, My life for the soul society, My life for the team. I will keep tabs on the men, and I will make the best use I can out of my free time. My methods of training are very different than your own, and I hod you are an open minded man, because I will not drill the men till they can't stand, which is what I hear you do. I will work them hard, and their performance will not slack. I have already reviewed our duties, and I will keep on top of things. I look forward to working with you, as well as the squad" as he finished Haruko waited to see iff his captain had anything further to say, before he set out for his duties. He was aware that he more than likely pissed his captain off in his little speech, but he had to make it clear that he could not be intimidated by tough talk, and drill Sergent attitude.

(how was that? I tried to use your post as a reference as I typed, I hope that it is at least better than my last post)

Tadashi Sakamoto

2nd Division Captain

"Oho, the green Lieutenant has some backbone," said Sakamoto, giving Haruko a dangerous smile. There was a moment of silence as he drummed the desk with left hand's fingers while he used his right hand to brush away a strand of hair. "Listen up, Lieutenant," Tadashi finally announced," I will break you if I see it fit, understand? I may not be one of the hollowfied Vizards that strut around the Seireitei, but I can more than measure up to any of them - of course, that includes you."

Tadashi put his hands behind his back and slowly came around the desk, ending up standing directly in front of the Lieutenant. He was born to intimidate, thus knew that no longer being seperated by a little wooden obstacle such as a desk would increase pressure on the subject. "You think your smart, don't you? Well...I don't think you've fully understood just what this conversation was. Tell me, did you think for a moment that you would be here if I didn't already review every possible hopeful and judge for myself that you would be the most suitable? Tsk, I thought it would be obvious, you know..." Tadashi trailed off, implying that the Lieutenant should have expected that the Captain was counting on Haruko to know that this wasn't some impromptu meeting. In actuality, Captain Sakamoto had already reviewed everything available on Haruko and foresaw the Lieutenant as the best choice for him.

"I already know you'll do the job, but make no mistake - you do not yet know what it means to be Omnitsukido, nor the meaning of the word intimidation," concluded Tadashi, patting the Lieutenant on the shoulder almost mockingly. He turned back around to his desk and straightened up the papers he was working on, making a nice little stack in a matter of a second before looking back to his new Lieutenant.

"With that, we will now retire to the bar for a drink," said Sakamoto with a smirk," i've decided that I need some alcohol in me now, and its no accident I feel that way after meeting my new Lieutenant." Tadashi really wasn't interested in making friends, but also knew that he might as well treat the Lieutenant nicely his first day. After all, like with interrogation, you press the subject and then you lay off for a bit.

"Backbone, and the skills to back it up." Haruko said with a grin pacing back and forth. While he spoke he was thinking about this conversation, he was thinking that it may be more than a simple little meet and greet. "and this is just a F.Y.I for you, I rarely ever hollowfy. As a matter of fact every one of my accomplishments are things I have done without my mask." Haruko moved slowly towards the door, he picked his previous words carefully. Above all else He wanted to convey that yes he is a proud vizard, however he also wanted to make it known that he got where he is naturally, and that he saw his mask as nothing more than an edge iff he gets into a tight spot. Haruko opened the door, and knocked on it in an attempt to make his captain laugh "A drink sounds great"

Shinigami: /Rakroix/
Rank: /Captain/

Rakroix entering the Division, finished his shunpo outside the office. He took a moment to take in his surroundings, carefully analyzing the different structural design of this office. He entered with ease, before knocking several times on the 2nd Division Captain's door. He had not met this younger Captain, but he had heard enough rumors to acknowledge that he was more than suitable for the position. Rakroix was a man of honor and the deepest respect. More than likely, this Captain would be humbled by him. Respect earned with age and title. Had he not denied it, Rakroix would of been a Captain-commander at some point. In his 4,000 years of service, he had grown to be a fine display of shinigami. A tactician. A master. He was also known to be the biggest pacifist within Soul Society, advocating for less armed actions. He had seen enough wars, to know that there was nothing to benefit from them. War was just unnecessary bloodshed. Actions without resolve.

The personality of Sakamoto would more than likely clash with Rakroix's. Their Divisions contrasted in belief, as well as objective. Rakroix had deception at heart, but that was to be, another story told at another time. He especially despised the second Division. The Maggot's Nest. A thousand years of torture. Rakroix had put in legislature and had met with Court 46 many times to close it down, sanction the 2nd Division for its violent abuse of criminals. Some of those shinigami were innocent, he being one of the misjudged few. Rakroix felt this meeting would not go well at all. In fact, he knew it wasn't going to, through his intuition attributed to age.

The Lieutenant opened the door, Rakroix eying him for a moment. This one was far too wild. He then shifted to scrutinizing Sakamoto. He was young. He was blinded by "justice", by his own delusional pride. Rakroix knew that look. He was there, once, long, long ago. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Rakroix... Captain of 5th Division, if you haven't already taken a spy at my records." He spoke softly, yet coarse. He was indicative of a tone with disdain. This man standing before him, was a prime antagonist of peace. He was probably one of the many 2nd Division one-sided fools whom ruled with an iron fist. He didn't know much of the 2nd Division Captain, other than what he had read up on once before.

Tadashi Sakamoto

2nd Division Captain

Sakamoto looked over the newcomer lazily, deciding that he didn't like him at all. He was justified in this assumption moments later when the Captain opened his mouth to speak. "One or two, perhaps," said Tadashi with a wide smirk. He knew that this type of person would be especially annoyed by young ones insulting their wisdom with some form of mockery or another, and he was in the mood to play around before getting to his sake. "If I may say so...you haven't really stated your business. Tsk, all done with your duties for the day? Perhaps you isit a Captain every time your bored?" Tadashi began to play with a loose strand of his hair while he spoke, making sure his smile was as obnoxious as possible. He didn't really have anything personal against Rakroix. In fact, he respected those who were his elder and especially those that are distinguished.

However, what Sakamoto didn't like was the way the man carried himself in his office. Acting like he was smart, as if he deserved the respect right off the bat just by seeming bold enough to enter and hint that the 2nd Division had placed moles in the 5th Division. Of course, there were such spies, but it was part of the Omnitsukido's duties to monitor the individual squads like so. He looked the intruder straight in the eye, still wearing that smirk and playing with his hair. "Tadashi Sakamoto - but you already knew that." He was speaking in a tone that suggested he hardly cared about his arrogant stance (which he was exhuding on purpose this time). Sakamoto eyed Haruko for a moment and then made a hand motion that suggest he leave the room, implying that there would be no sake social tonight.

"Of course. I have nothing better to do. Besides, it's always enjoyable to see the new generation at work. After all, you will be amongst those taking lead over Soul Society after I and the rest of the old wretches turn to ash." Rakroix replied, vigorously. He then took a seat, before holding out his hand and performing a reiatsu scan. He could tell Sakamoto was indeed at the level desired for captain proficiency. "So, tell me... How does it feel to be the almighty warden? I've heard really good results from interrogations. I wonder... Do your victims ever get a fair trial? Or do you simply slap the Hammer of Justice down upon them? Sakamoto, Tadashi. Do not think of your position merely by it's core values. You are your position. Set yourself apart from the past. The Onmitsukido deserve a change... Do not continue the chain of corruption." He attempted to preach some of his idealistic pacifism morals, knowing they fell on deaf ears. He had eluded defining his reasoning for visiting. "But, that's besides the point. I wanted to simply get acquainted. Who knows... You might get to arrest me one day. Ahh... Maggot Hill..."

Tadashi Sakamoto

2nd Division Captain

Tadashi snorted as he listened to the Captain, finding his comments truly amusing. However, there was a flare of anger inside of him when the Captain made himself comfortable and sat down. Looking visibly annoyed this time, he slowly made his way to the Captain's chair and sat down to face Rakroix. "Prisoners do not deserve free trial. They are interrogated as soon as they come in. Based on their degree of cooperation, they are pressed until they break or released into holding cells. I'd say the Seireitei is running quite efficently, and I haven't heard any complaints until I met you. Not high command, not Central 46, but you - this is the wrong place for pacifist ideals, my friend. We are Omnitsukido...I myself teach everyone to forsake each other's lives when the situation demands it. As for getting acquainted...your mission is accomplished," Tadashi sighed and poured himself some water," i'd say the only thing I regret in my life is the absence of a woman, but then that is historic of this position," he finished, awaiting the glorious response he was sure to recieve.

The last thing he'd said was meant to imply that he regretted nothing of the cruelty he'd wrought nor the moral sins he committed. The fool Captain Rakroix simply did not understand what it meant to have the position of the 2nd Division Captain.

"I served a thousand years sentence, because of the ignorance of one of this Division's Captains. I know more about this place then you'll ever discover. Forsaken. Yes. I was forsaken. But, how could you ever understand. You're just a child. Even you are blinded by overzealous laws and morals." He had long since erased the record of his imprisonment, as it was a very unknown time. Seireitei was still forming, and he had been accused of murdering officers, an act he did not choose to do. But, what he had experienced as a prisoner, would lead to his form today. Rakroix, standing up, crossed his arms, clearly touched by Tadashi's words. He turned, before preparing to leave. "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others." He spoke quietly, hinting that he had such great hope for change. "Soul Society has time... The Youth need to rise up to obligation. I'll let you think about this today. If it doesn't effect you, then at least you thought about it." He prepared to leave, ending his words simply with, "Everything in life is connected somehow. You may have to dig deep to find it but its there. Everything is the same even though its different. Somehow everything connects back with your life. The faces in certain places may be different, but the situation is the same. Irony is a hidden factor that creeps around us in life, letting its presence felt only after it has left. Picture back to a year ago and the situation you were in. Look at how things are different yet somehow everything it still in someway cognate. Everything connects together to form the balance of life, to maintain structure. Change is and always will be inevitable, but everything is relative, and all the moments and times in your life will come back around again, you just might find yourself on the other side of the coin. Things are always changing, as fast as everything stays the same. You must be the catalyst. Tadashi, Sakamoto." He then shunpoed, heading for another division.

Tadashi Sakamoto

2nd Division Captain

Sakamoto was quite interested to hear about the 1,000 year sentence that had been given to the man. He must have done something bad enough not to warrant immediate death but a 4-figure sentence instead. As Rakroix droned on, he made a mental note to assign his best tail to the man. These few special men were trained very well in the art of concealment - not even Captains knew they were being watched constantly. This drastic measure was only issued by very few leaders of the Omnitsukido, and Sakamoto could proudly say he was one of them. Of course, he'd never say it out loud.

Tadashi dully noted the rest of the 5th Division Captain's words and was pleased to see him leave. The fool may have been old, but the Omnitsukido was the way it was for a reason. No fossil would change how it ran - it was like trying to change the relationship that the Shinigami and Hollow had. Sure, there were Vizards in the Seireitei now, but they were not true Hollows. Personally, he disliked the hollowfication of Shinigami - it was just disgusting and unnatural, and added power with which some bad people would simply take advantage of. Besides, to merge with a Hollow's abilities was unthinkable. If it were up to him, he would ban the practice. Unfortunately, he held no such law-making authority.

Tadashi began to consider forsaking his sake trip in favor of a round in the hot springs. He had a hard time stopping his drinking anyhow, and he probably deserved a break. Exiting the office, he made sure a passerby would send the message that the Vice-Captain would take over Captain's duties for an hour or two.

Haruko Ryu
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Wed Oct 13, 2010 9:12 pm

A few days had passed since the "argument" between Sakamoto, and Haruko. It was finally time where they had to face each other again. This was a truly dreaded time for Haruko, because he was not sure iff Sakamoto was quite done with him, or not.

He knocked politely upon the door to Sakamoto's office, announcing his presence. "I have the weeks reports for all the squad member, they are ready iff you are sir" Haruko said in a more formal tone than normal. He had hoped that by being this nice, and formal would help him get on the good side of Sakamoto.

He waited patiently outside for an invitation to come in.

Sakamoto smirked, flexed his fingers, and then invited Haruko in. Once the Lieutenant was inside, he wordlessly got up to take the papers himself. Tadashi did so, then returned them to his desk and turned back to the Lieutenant. His smiling silent expression held a hint of madness in it, as if daring Haruko to say anything rather than just turning around and walking out.

Haruko understood Sakamoto's anger, and wanted to just leave, but he felt that would just prolong issues. H
"before I go sir" Haruko began "I would appreciate iff you could up date me on the goings on with the squad five captain, has anything turned up yet, anything at all, and iff not would you like me to take a few small recon groups out to examine the areas of interest more closely"
Haruko knew Sakamoto wanted nothing to do with him at the time, however he had a duty to the soul society, and to his squad to remain up to date with all things that went on, and he was sure Sakamoto could understand, and respect his readiness to take action.
