What Mirielle is:
Adventurous. The main reason she became a pirate was to satisfy her hunger for adventure.
Jealous. She's jealous of her siblings. They have love, and they have gorgeous wings. They fit in, but she doesn't quite...
Tough. Her wings have another quality to them though, they won't shatter or break. They're tough and so is she.
What Mirielle isn't:
Dependent. She loves her family, but she doesn't need them to be happy. She knows her Maman will be sad to see her go, but she knows it's for the best.
Dainty. She's strong, and likes it that way. Her sister is elegant, and her brother regal, but she's more like her missing mother who abandoned them.
Bio
Mirielle grew up in a home where beauty was what mattered - and despite her Maman's trying to keep her little home unlike the home SHE grew up in, Papillion still worried that her daughter's wings were unfitting, being black, coarse, and feathery, and not the beautiful colorful butterfly wings of her siblings. Tired of hearing her mother's worried whispers, and talking to lazy and uninteresting Herla, she set out one day towards the beach. What she found was purely amazing -- the Ocean. She fell in love.
