"Luuuucccyyy~" said a soft feminine voice, as a small girl could be found beneath the tree attempting to coax her cat out of the tree.
Earlier that day, Clarissa had been at the pet store picking out a new toy for her kitten, Luciano. Because she had yet to buy a cat carrier, Lucy had settled in her purse instead. Paws hanging over the opening, Lucy eyes darted all over the place as if she was curious to explore her surroundings but stayed where she was. Other than the occasional mewling for a pet once in awhile, she gave Clarissa absolutely no trouble!
Until a little girl had run by, swinging around a set of pink balloons. Her cat had immediately jumped after her, and out that door before Clarissa could say oh my.
Dropping the toy she had been holding, she had ran for the door. "Lucy!" She had yelled, with a hurried glance at her left, then right. Luckily, she caught a glimpse of Lucy's tail turning around the corner, "Don't let her end up in the street." She prayed, rushing as fast as her heels could take her.
After taking several turns, Clarissa had ended up at a park, which had led her to the current position she was in now.
Arms crossed over her chest, she simply glared at the cat before her. "Lucy darling, if you don't get down here now, I will personally choke you myself." She threatened, though that's all it was and they both knew it. Purring, Luciano merely ignored her owner. "Mrow?" She mewed, with an innocent stare, contented to stay perched upon the tree branch despite what objections her owner may have had.
"That cat, I swear.." She murmured, with an exasperated sigh.

Though he had not been visiting the pet store, and had no legitimate reason for carrying a purse bag, Pasha was traveling with a similar companion. Trinket was, perhaps, getting a bit too big to be carted around in such a fashion, but he sat as still and patient as a well-trained purse puppy.
Good behavior didn't quite quench catlike curiosity, however. Trinket's eyes widened and he began to meow, desperately trying to get the boy's attention.
"What is it, Trinket?" Frowning, he reached down to unhook the bag, allowing the kitty to peek out farther. "You didn't eat any of my candy, did you? I told you that was bad for kitties!"
As soon as he could wriggle free of the bag's restraints, Trinket hopped down and trotted, tail held high, towards the girl beneath the tree. After brushing against her shins, he sat next to her and stared up at the tree, patiently awaiting the other kitty. Surely it would come down soon!
Not far behind his pet, Pasha greeted the girl with a smile. "Oh! I think Trinket really likes you! He never leaves my bag when we go out. You've gotta be really important! Did you lose something? I think he wants to get it for you. But he's only a kitty, so maybe I can help instead." Only after he had pelted her with cursory babble did he extend his small hand. "I'm Pasha, by the way! I don't think I've seen you around before, so it's nice to meet you!

Distracted, Lucy continued to ignore her to bat at a nearby branch.
At a loss to what to do, Clarissa shook her head in dismay. This would take some time, she surmised. Perhaps, she could find a seat somewhere nearby in wait for her cat. But she barely took a step forward when she felt a familiar brush of fur at her ankles. Glancing downward, she was delighted to discover it was another cat. "Aw, what a darling." She giggled, as she leaned forward to stroke it by the ears. He purred beneath her fingers, as she continued to run her hands across his body.
Oh, how she adored cats!
Soon he sat down, in patient wait for the other cat to come down from the tree.
Intrigued by this newcomer, Lucy gave Trinket a curious glance as if to say, "Who are you?" No longer distracted by the tree branch, she made her way back to the base of the tree.
Oblivious to this exchange, Clarissa's attention was diverted by the arrival of a sudden boy. "Oh really?" She laughed, as she rose to her feet. She barely any chance to speak before he continues on in a cursory babble of words. She didn't know where to start, but an introduction would be a start! "It's good to meet you, Pasha. I'm Clarissa, Clarissa Arks." With a smile, she was quick to take his hand in a warm shake.
"Oh no, I didn't lose anything." She laughed, with a shake of her head. "Unless you count my cat's attention!"
