Kohaku found himself on the edge of the parastar area. Feeling that it was nice to get away from the other guys once in a while. He smiled to himself as he move slowly around the area quietly. He was enjoying the land and what it had to offer. Avoiding low branches and vines, he moved easily and swiftly. He didn't meet many out side his clan or the males in which who he had grown to know a bit about. They were pretty neat, those males, though sometimes it was best to get away from them.
He hummed to no particular song. Something he had made up himself, that wasn't very good and probably would seem quite silly if someone heard him. Though, he didn't think he cared too much. He was having too good of a day to let anyone mess it up.

Ploped in a pile of large leaves on the ground, the lime green female let out a loud sigh. She had a distant look in her eye that was unusual for the normally spunky lioness.
"Why didn't you say goodbye..." It didn't seem real. A friend she had met only once in their childhood had left the pride. All this time she had been looking for him, and he may have not even been in the same pridelands anymore?
"I feel like such a fool. I thought when we grew up we could..." The young females heart ached. The pain made worse with the fact that she had no idea if he even remembered their meeting. She had always been a rather liberal member of the pride when it came to caring about males, but perhaps this is what her mom had warned her about? Getting attached, especially around here, would only seem to end in heartache.
Dauna realized she needed to shape up, she didn't want to be punished in her next life because she had been crying over a male. Maybe, just maybe, it was time for her to go take a visit to the parastar's.
As she got closer to were the males of the pride resided, she didn't really think about what could really come of this decision. All she really cared about was that any male she picked out would come with her, and they couldn't leave her until she was done with him.
That last thought didn't sit well with Dauna.

Kohaku continued to hum as he spotted a leaf that was slowly falling to the ground. As it reached closer and closer to the mossy green ground below, he pounced on it. "HA" He let escape his mouth as his front half was completely lowered to the ground. Leaving his butt up in the air and tail flicking wildly. So he was acting a bit childish today. As far as he knew, no one else was watching him.
His claws dig into the leaf as if he was killing it. He stood up quickly after that, shaking off any dirt or grass that might have decided to call his fur a nice place to rest. He glanced about. At first he didn't see anything. Lots and lots of green. Though, when he looked again, more slowly this time. He noticed some purple on green. Which made him focus on it. Then he realized it was a lioness.
He hoped she didn't see him. Then again, if she did, would it matter? He didn't know. Females could be weird sometimes. But he still respected them despite that. He straightened up and looked more adult-like. "Hello" He simply said to let himself be known, just in case she hadn't noticed him. Which was what he was hoping.

Dauna was now relatively close to her destination, this is when thoughts started to race through her mind...
Do you just walk into the group and ask everyone how they are doing? She had never asked her mom that much in depth questions about going to the parastar's hang out, all she knew is that's were all the males go when they hit adolescence.
Couldn't be too complicated, she'll worry about when she se-. Dauna's thought was cut off by the shout of another pride member in the area.
A.... a male! Who was acting rather strange, but hey she wasn't one to talk about acting ones age.
"Hello." Dauna answered back in a perky tone when the male finally noticed how close she was. She never stayed in a bad mood for very long. "Nice pounce on that leaf." Her head bent down as she swiped at it with her slim paw, and the leaf dragged a bit across the ground before laying flat once again.
"I'm Dauna." She didn't waste any time getting acquainted with the male, and for once she didn't wait until halfway through the conversation before introducing herself.

He felt some relief flow threw him when she wasn't worried about how he was acting. He smiled at her, a bit shyly. His tail flicked back and forth ever few moments. He still felt like pouncing on the leaf, but he resisted. He just watched it lay there for a moment then looked back to the mostly green lioness.
"Pleasure to meet you, Dauna." he said as he inclined his head. "I'm Kohaku" he added as he was done inclining his head. He was taught to show the up-most respect for any female. No matter how rude they were to him. Though, it made it so much easier when they were as happy and kind as this female seemed to be.
"What brings you out here?" He asked her curiously. Certainly he didn't see many females out this way, and rarely did they stop to even talk to him. Only one other female had, but that was some time ago. He wondered if she was his friend, or if she just wanted to talk to someone. Seeing as he'd only seen her once, and hasn't seen her since. He gave a mental shake, before putting all his attention back on this lioness.

Daunas tail swayed at the manners the male showed. She gave him a good look over while his head was down as well. Her clan cherished green, but she had a soft spot in her heart for Purple because so many of her half siblings and her mother were covered in purple. She had some too, on the tuff of hair on her head and tail, if that counted for much.
Kohaku had some white on him which isn't exactly ideal, but really Dauna thought a little break up in color only helps enhance ones brightest colors. Once again she was a little bias on that front, as she had spots of white herself. When the male suddenly lifted his head back up, Dauna was caught staring at him still. The Lioness darted her eyes in another direction to look as though she was simply thinking about the question he had asked her.
"Sorry, um..." She hesitated at the rather simple question the male had asked. Why had she come here again? Oh right, She came all the way out here to "exercise" her rights as a lioness to claim one of these males for awhile.
"Funny for to ask me that actually, I'm... uh... looking for something." It was very unusual for Dauna to not just come out and say what she was thinking. Is this really how all lionesses go about things? It all seemed so informal.

He raised a brow. Strange place to be really looking for something. Though, it wasn't something he was going to press on her. Seeing as it was no business of his of what she was doing. Unless, she wanted him to help her find whatever she was looking for. He wondered if she had lost something.
"Is it something I can help you find?" He asked her carefully. Trying to ask it in a way that wouldn't offend her. Or that would make it look as if he was curious in actually knowing what it was. He wasn't exactly good at finding anything. He had once lost a feather, and never was able to find it again.
"I must warn, though, I'm not good at finding things." He chuckled "only losing them." He said with another laugh. It amused him how easy it was to lose an item when you were younger that you thought was very important. To only realize when you became older, that it was nothing important at all. He wish he still saw things the way he did when he was younger. It was so much more simple then.

"Um, why don't we walk while we talk." Dauna let out a nervous chuckle before leading the way, carefully walking over the leaf that was on the ground. He seemed nice enough, for him to offer to help her like that was something she didn't expect.
The two walked for awhile when Dauna realized that she hadn't answered any of the questions he asked. "Uh It's ok, I'm not very good at finding things either."
Koharu was a rather comfortable creatuer to be around. talking to him wasn't any different than talking to another female really. That's a good quality to have in a father.
"Actually there is a way for you to help, Koharu." There was no turning back now.
"I... came here to find a male." Though a bit broken up, her words came out much smoother than she expected them to. She had no idea where to take the conversation from here, just ask him to come with her? Dauna decided to wait for his reaction before going any further. If he seemed turned off to the idea there will still wiggle room to talk her way out of this embarrassment.

Well, whatever she wished, he thought. He nodded and smiled at her, as he started to walk next to her. Silence filled him, in case she had something to say first. He didn't want to talk a ton and make it so she couldn't say a word. Her's were more important then the stupid things he'd find to talk about. Or at least, he figured so. "Well, at least I'm not alone then." He said after she was done speaking. Giving a few seconds between her words, just in case she wanted to add something. But not long enough to make it seem like he was slow or something.
She said his name wrong, but if he had any problem with it, he made no attempt to show it. Then again, he didn't really care if his name was mispronounced. "Oh?" He said when she said she did need his help after all. He was curious, and didn't expect what was gonna happen next. Of course, he never really expected anyone to come to him.
He was slightly shocked, but tried not to show that. Having a bit of white on him, he figured there would be better males for someone like Dauna to go to. Though, he didn't really want to point that out. If she wanted him, then he wasn't going to try to push it on someone else. She was very nice after all. His mouth was dry, and made it hard for him to speak. "You're asking me to help you?" He asked her. His words showed the slight disbelieve in her words. In case he had miss heard her. Perhaps she was just asking him if there were more suitable males she'd be interested in.
"I'd be honored to help you, if that's the case." It was a great honor for a female to come to a male, or at least that's what his mother had told him. His mouth was still dry, and his heart was beating slightly faster then it was before. He felt nervous now. He gave her a oddly funny nervous grin.

Dauna's grey eyes grew wide at the males answer. Well that was easier than she thought. Heck, she didn't even have to come outright and ask him.
"That would be great!" She nodded and folded her ears back. She was still hurting a lot from the news of her friends departure, but this turn of events really did help her feel better. Dauna not only found a male, but he was also a good soul. She only knew him for a few moments, but Dauna was a firm believer in first impressions being very important.
The green lioness Surely her mother will be pleased. Despite the absence of green, he was still very colorful. Besides, Dauna figured she had the "green" part pretty well covered.
The female let out a giggle at the males unusal face, he had acted so cool and calm before. His face gave his nervousness away though, and despite Dauna's casual demeanor she was terrified as well.
"I guess I should fill you in on some importaint stuff. The green might of given it away, but I'm a member of the Chatri clan. My mother is technically the Matron on the clan, but my sister has pretty much taken over most of her duties. Thankfully that means I don't have much responsibilities besides patrolling the boarder every once in awhile...." She decided to leave out the parts about getting trouble for leaving and letting strangers in.
"Thank you for helping me." She looked up at him and smiled, hoping to calm his nerves.

He nodded at the more formal introduction of her. Though, he wasn't really sure what to say about himself that she might not already know. He wasn't sure how females were in the clan he grew up, and wasn't sure how close those other clans were to them. "I'm from the Tarka clan." He said kinda stupidly. He couldn't really tell much more then that. Other then his aunts were the ones that ran the show in that clan. His mother didn't do much, as far as he knew.
Then again, he never really asked about it. He smiled at her. "Other then that, I can't really say much. By the time I was old enough to understand anything.... Well, you know what happens." He didn't need to say much about that. Being a male was truly the most easy job in the whole pride. They didn't have to do anything unless asked upon something. Though, Kohaku found that extremely boring. He often found himself wondering away to the edges of his new found clan of males, just to do something. Anything.
He inclined his head to her. "Your wish is my command." He said, then kinda chuckled at the should of words. It sounded so strange, and funny at the same time. He never dreamed he'd be saying those words to anyone. Then again, he always wanted to. It was what males were suppose to say to females, right? "So, what now?" He asked her.

"Yeah, I'm well aware..." Dauna's ears flattened at the words of the male. although she loved her pride she worried about having sons and how she herself would handle it. Not being able to watch them completely grow up was going to be extremely painful.
"That's just the way things are though, honestly you guys aren't missing out on much." Dauna tried lightening the mood for herself. Although what she had said was something of a lie, since her sister had gotten a rank higher than her it took a lot of pressure off of Dauna and her other siblings.
"Oh wow, I like this!" She giggled with him, not really knowing how to react. It made her feel like all that nervousness about asking really was all in vain. "To be quite honest.. I'm not sure myself." Her mother had prepped her for everything up to this point, but she was vague about the details beyond the point of asking a male to come with her.
"Well, why don't we go back to my den and then we can go from there?" The bright green Gasht crouched down and wiggled her bum before lunging forward in the direction of home. "It's not too far away. Come on, lets go Ko..." She paused for a moment before continuing. "haku!" She smiled brightly at the purple and orange clad male. Yes, things were going to get better from here on out.

At first, he almost thought she forgotten his name. Though he figured she was just making it more suspenseful. Or that was the way she said names? He shrugged it off and smiled at her. "I guess that's the best thing to do" He felt nervous again. But without any hesitation, he nodded to her. Telling her to lead the way. It couldn't be too bad, right? He followed her.
