FIRST, BACKGROUND INFO:
I've kept a cow magnet from the Andy Warhol museum in my locker for the past few years. In our school, you keep the same locker and combo all four years. So, early August I receive a text from Tim (my ex, we broke up a few months shy of a year ago) asking if I lost it, because he saw one just like it in the business teacher's room (he works with the tech department at school over the summer). Turned out that I had. So, he told me he'd grab it and then give it to me when we went out to eat with a big group of friends the next week. He never gave it to me. So, seeing as school starts tomorrow, I texted him asking him to bring it to homeroom. His response "It's taken care of."
Me: "As in it's already in my locker?"
Tim: "Maybe"
QUESTION:
I don't know, but is that weird? We've been broken up for a while now, but still. We're still not the best of friends anymore, even though we can joke around and do stuff in groups. He could have just given it to me. If we were still going out, I'd be like AW THAT'S SO NICE AND CUTE, but now I'm kind of like WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE/KNOW MY LOCKER COMBO? WHY NOT JUST GIVE IT TO ME? Idk maybe I'm just overreacting/overthinking it~
