Hey all, I joined the guild awhile back but with the game so far from release I never bothered to check in. However, something has recently been on my mind that can only be rightfully addressed here.
As you've guessed, i'm one of the many people who intend to get the game for the Playstation 3. I can't help that I want to play the game on max graphics on my beautiful high definition tv, let alone collect some trophies. However, it seems Square is doing everything in it's power to make me give up on the game. First, we have no collector's edition announced yet. No pretty box or personal journal or rare artwork for us, nope. Then, the game is pushed back by six whole months, which means by the time I play I'll be six months behind far less dedicated players than myself.
I feel jipped and I want to get the opinions of you fine folk. Do you think Square will redeem itself? Will they do anything for us PS3 owners to make it up to us?

Square Enix has always made things up from little mistakes like this, and when they do make them up they make them up big time. Square is probably the only company that I fully trust, and although finding out that they are delaying the PS3 release, I feel that they will do something special for those players, b/c Square Enix loves the players and would do anything for them.

I wouldn't put the collector's edition for the PS3 out of the question just yet. My guess is once they work out whatever problems they were having programing the game for the ps3. They'll set a true release date once and probably a CE version along with it, just like the PC version.

Syaorain Square Enix has always made things up from little mistakes like this, and when they do make them up they make them up big time. Square is probably the only company that I fully trust, and although finding out that they are delaying the PS3 release, I feel that they will do something special for those players, b/c Square Enix loves the players and would do anything for them. @Syaorain: I would love for some examples, of Square's generosity. Personally I can't think of a single one. Could just be my cynical nature and knowing that a company generally only has one goal.
I certainly hope for some form of exclusive content for the PS3 version, however saying that there will be anything along those lines will be purely speculation.

If we get something exclusive or special, i'll call it even. If we get nothing I will explode in to the rage of a thousand burning nuclear suns that neither Kefka nor Ultimecia could match with all their powers combined.

I totally agree that the PS3 version should have something special since they are making us all wait for it.
With the release date for the PC coming very soon my patience is also growing thin.

I was originally really annoyed. Then I looked into buying a new PC and cringed at the price. I have a perfectly good PS3 and will be buying a great TV come tax season anyways... So it just makes sense to wait I suppose, since my computer works just fine.

I don't mind. PC players get to test out the kinks so that when PS3 gets it.. it will be somewhat kink free.(hopefully)
Yeah it sucks to wait. I mean in that 6 months I could make enough money to buy a PC but I want to sick back in my sofas, grab my controller and play on my big screen TV ^ ^
Not hunched over my small PC monitor, playing on a keyboard and back pains from my super uncomfortable chair. This is my situation anyway. I'm sure everyone else has fixed those problems above if they play other PC games. But I browse on my PC and game on consoles. Yes, they have limitations but it's just what I do.
