Alright. Here's the deal. In this thread, Rank does not matter worth sh*t. In this thread, we are ALL equals. The only exception is if it gets at of hand, at which point the Crew, VC's, and Myself are back in power, until things get calmed down again. I honestly hope it doesn't come to that.
This is a serious thread. There is to be no flaming. There is to be no flaming. There is to be no flaming. This is for Calm discussion of your Opinions. The difference is simple: Discussion: Man, what you're doing isn't cool, you're being way too harsh. Flaming: You're being an a**hole, you f*cking Nazi.
That's the difference.
There is to be no flaming.
If you don't intend to abide by those rules and conditions, then do not post in here. Period. If you abide by them through the conversation, but suddenly decide not to, and begin flaming, you will be dealt with HARSHLY. One Warning will be afforded each member. Then, your rank will be bumped down one, then all the way, then you'll be banned. And that's if we're Merciful.
Now that we're clear on all of that, The point of this thread.
Many members have expressed to me frustration, irritation, or anger, all of varying degrees, in one of our Members, one Darius Roslyn. One of the members I know IRL actually CALLED ME to talk about it, and that between the two of us led to the creation of this thread. His friends who aren't even in the League have a problem with Darius. This thread is for all of you to get your problems with him out in the open, so that we can find some kind of solution, or at the very least, vent all your frustrations.
I know for a fact that One member is eager to talk about it, the same one who called me to talk. If no one else wants to speak, he will. If no one wants to start this off, he will. So, if you don't want to be in any kind of spotlight, wait til morning, and he'll be getting his point posted.

Dude, it's simple. I'll just leave. But I'll always be watching. And I may even come back one day, when I've changed and you won't know it's me anymore.
I'm sorry to everyone whose fun I've ruined, or offended, or aggravated, or anything of the like. But it's really the way I am, some people can take it, and some people can't. Obviously, most of the people here can't, so the easiest solution is for me to leave. I won't change overnight, and talking about it isn't going to change how anyone feels about who I am.
I wish you all the best of luck in your endeavors, and may your future be bright and fruitful. If anyone wants to reach me, I'll be on NotaSuperHero from now on, my new and permanent account.
A PM I sent to Wielder just after leaving:Quote: Look man, I quit because it's just not worth it for anyone for me to be there anymore. I can't sum up the effort to care about what the League thinks at this point personally, because my life outside of it, is s**t. And it doesn't help that I'm hated there just like I'm hated in the real world. So, really, why shouldn't I have quit? If anything, you should see it as good thing for the League if I was really such a big problem with so many people. And right now I have to worry about fixing my real life, before I think about fixing my life in the League. It's for the best of everyone, really. AND NO, I HAVE NEVER BEEN CONTACTED OR APPROACHED PERSONALLY ABOUT MY BEHAVIOR BY ANYONE OVER A PM. IT HAS ONLY BEEN MENTIONED VAGUELY TO ME BY A FEW, BUT NEVER ACTUALLY ADDRESSED IN A WAY THAT IT COULD REACH A RESOLUTION, BECAUSE HONESTLY THERE IS NO RESOLUTION THAT CAN BE FOUND.

That may not be necessary, Darius. Just stay here and hear what they have to say.

Honestly I can't say I had any sort of problem with Darius. Sure, his words are harsh, but they get his point across clearly. He doesn't dance around topics. He says his opinion, then waits for others. If he feels as though someone isn't expressing all of what he wants them to, or what they want to, he calls them out on it. Very, very few people have the courage to do this. Though it may make him appear like he's ranting all the time, he's simply trying to get things solved. Once his words are done, usually something comes out of it. It's not always the resolution he wanted, but it's always some sort of resolution.

I have my own problems with him as well, but we're not going to go into that here. He knows what they are. That aside, though, I respect him for his honesty and dedication. We might not like the way that a person acts or thinks or expresses themselves, but they are still people, just different from us. Darius can get harsh at times, but it's just his way of expressing himself and his opinions. We all have our own way. Some people here communicate their opinions on serious matters through jokes. That's something that drives me nuts, because it seems like they don't take it seriously. But I understand that it's just their way of getting their point across, and that I should respect that.
In addition to that, I think this thread in itself is rather rude. I mean, I could understand having a thread where we could all talk out the problems we have with eachother, but choosing one member for everyone to bash on kind of seems like pushing someone out. I can understand having a thread against me. I actually did something wrong. Darius, though, he's just stating his opinion on things just like everyone else.
I've said my piece. I'm sorry internet drama is affecting your real life, Wielder.

I know it's rude and such, but someone needed to call him out on it, and I know a few people were itching to. Honestly, I agree with them on most of their points. Darius is, honestly, pretty nazi-tastic, in my own personal opinion.
I just wasn't expecting him to quit the guild over this. I tried to open this up as an open forum, stressing that this was to be balanced and calm and fair and sh*t. I was honestly expecting him to stick around and either defend himself, or listen. I hate society, but even I listen when someone I hate says I'm wrong.

As a side note: He edited his post.
And I understand people wanting to talk it out. Though, to be honest, they could have easily done that through PM's. Most of the opinions I got throughout even my trial were had through PM's, which I think was most appropriate, no matter if they were good or bad.
I don't know. Even in a workplace, or anything, when someone goes to the head-guy about a problem, he takes it up with the person he has a problem with, instead of addressing it in front of all of the employees in case someone has a problem with it.
In a family, if I went to my dad with a problem I had with my brother, he'd talk to my brother, not set us all down so everyone in the family could tell him what they didn't like about him all at once just to clear the air.
But, you're right. He should have stuck around and defended himself. However, I can't blame him for leaving suddenly with the way this was approached. This thread is just a humiliation, directed toward one person.

Maybe you're right. But I'm pretty sure that a few of us have PM'd him about it, and he hasn't changed anything, no compromise or solution was reached, from what I can tell. So, I took it up a couple notches, and set up this thread, so others could call him out on it.

High use of overly harsh words, would be my number one. Semi-relatedly, Darius always "feels" cold, almost emotionless, when we get into big conversations. Just sayin.

Yeah, but that's just a part of who he is. You can't expect him to change his personality to suit everyone's needs.
The overly harsh words thing makes sense, though. That's something that could be helped without compromising one's personality.

So, apparently the folk who pm'd him... didn't. That pisses me off, because That means that this might not have had to happen, and he'd still be around here. He was an irritating b*stard at times, but he was one of us, dammit.

I am. He isn't coming back, at least not yet. Said he's got some IRL problems to deal with- big ones. Meanwhile, he'll be hanging out on a mule account in Barton Town. I also apologized. That needed to happen. Big time.
