Welp, just want to state this now, I think I'm going to be set on the Garland server. Many friends and other groups I'm involved in are also on that server and I don't want to part with them. D: Hopefully this guild will also choose to be on the Garland server and I'll be happy to be involved in it if that's the case. And if not, I'll still try to give my input on these forums as much as possible. ^^; I just wanted to post this now beacuse I know many of us are in the beta in this guild and I haven't seen much activity in wanting to group together, etc. Open beta is around the corner so hopefully we can pull something together and see everyone there.
Also, if you'd like post your server choice if you already have one. Lets see where everyone is and perhaps it could influence decisions made later on. I didn't add a poll cause I'd rather see posts and discussions on this than just numbers.

I am not to sure which server I will play on but, we might just join one server as a guild anyways. I'll know by the time I get the game though.

I'm trying to join Cloudy, though I have no idea how Ventrillo works. I downloaded it but haven't messed with it.
Signed up on Cloudy posted a application, but still nothing.
Hopefully they incorporate account transfer features from XI. Like if you create a character on one server find out later your friends are on this server. You buy a world pass and transfer the character over.

I voted for garland ^^ Right now it is between garland and emperor tho for open beta people are going to emperor.
The leader of cloudy is only taking people he gets to know on vent. Even tho the site says it doesn't matter... Its not really true... only reason hes doing that is you get to know people better and faster.
If you don't have a mic vent also has a live messenger system you can use to get to know people.

I do have a mic I just don't know how to set up a chat.
Its not like skype.

warstormer made the decision of emperor and told everyone in cloudy to start open beta on emperor since the character usernames and models can transfer over to release. xikar you should join them up on emperor and play in game together to get to know each other. warstormer wont accept you unless you socialize with him or some other cloudy members get to talk to you and vouch for you. warstormer should be on ventrilo a lot more often once open beta starts.

I know you......
But still I don't understand how Vent works. With Skype its an account based system similar to aim/gmail etc. But Vent doesn't seem to work that way.

Im no good an explaining things unless its in real time but i'll try.
*open up vent
*next create a username(push the little arrow going this way > to make one)
*after your done with that go to server(also push the little > arrow)
*click new and put in a name to show up on your computer.
*then in hostname or ip put Sign up and into cloudy for vent info
*in port number Sign up and into cloudy for vent info
*push okay and your ready to connect to the server ^^
I think that's all you need to do.
