DO NOT BUY FISH! they will die either straight away or the next day!
what happened to me:
2 days ago bought starfish for 30700gold in marketplace
next day dont go on gaia
next day go to aquarium realise that 2 days ago i didnt put the starfish in my aquarium, from my inventory, next thing i know is my starfish is dead oh yh i swear something happening or perhaps not hapening to my seahorse so i put it in barrets tank you should do the same! now im going to get my money back by vending

i don't buy fish at all, this happens to alot of people though wait a week see if they come back and thx for the warning 3nodding

I dunno.
Despite having not been fed in a few months AND most of them being waaaaaaaay beyond their lifespan, the fish on my old gaia account somehow haven't died.
Yet despite my efforts, my new ones died only a few days after I put them in. Kinda makes me wanna PM the person in charge and scream 'WTF????'
Only an arrowhead fish and a hermit cat are left, and I've never seen a hermit cat die in the first place.
Do hermit cats die??
In any case, I think it's all useless since Booty Grab doesn't work anymore sad
