Sitting alone, again, in the shade of the Temple, Wei's eyes looked quite dismal. It had been so many moons since she'd been expecting Raha to be here, and part of her was starting to sink. But she wouldn't let herself give up hope - both because, as a priestess, she was seen as a sort of role model, and because she just knew deep in her heart that he'd come. One day.
Taking in a deep breath, her body felt rather weak - this pride didn't require the physical strains that her previous one had. While she had liked the almost lush lifestyle here, being alone and lazy just seemed kind of....horrible.
In an attempt to lift her spirits a bit, she stepped out into the sun, warming her paws with every step. True to her feline nature, a small smile cracked on her maw, probably for the first time in days, and she rolled her shoulders back and forth. She felt a bit better about today already - but didn't want to get her hopes up just to find herself sleeping alone again.

A smile quirked up on the white-furred lions lips as he cleared yet another of the endless seeming dunes to finally catch sight of more than sand in the distance. For days he'd been making his way through this desert, and many other terrains before it in the past few months, looking for this one glorious sight. The temple in the territory of the Tuait'tekem. The only place he could think to find Wei...
The thought did come of course. What if she believed him to be gone forever and found a new love? What if she decided not to continue on to this place when he fell? But he was quick to shake the doubts away with a huff, blue eyes lighting up as he trotted down the slope to move further into the new territory. She would be here... She would.
He was quick to jump into a run at the bottom, making good time across the sands, despite his exhaustion from travel. It didn't take long before he was padding up to a cool, shaded oasis. A pleased sigh passed his lips as he moved into the shade of the trees, settling down at the water side to take a long drink. Watering holes were few and far between in the area. A little rest and he could begin asking around.

Like a flower soaking up sunlight, Wei could feel her energy seep back into her. She grinned, flipping her tuft of hair away from her eyes. Things could still be....happy, even if she was a tad heartbroken. But what exactly should she do, now that she had pulled herself out of such a daze? Well.....water sounded pretty good, actually. The inside of her mouth felt like she had been eating nothing but sand, and the thought of water made her bounce a little.
And....the fact that the closest source of water was near the border made her heart jump a little in her chest.
Lifting a slightly shaky paw, Wei stared forward for a few moments, quickly nodding her head and taking brisk steps in the direction of the watering hole. The faint glimmer of hope in her eyes was driving her, even though she knew it was foolish to get her hopes up. But something just felt...right about it.

Unaware of Wei's approach, Raha let out a deep sigh from where he lay slumped in the shade of the oasis trees. He should get up and hurry on his way further into the lands of the pride, but it was such a tiring journey. Just a bit longer to rest and he could go.
Shifting himself forward a bit more, he leaned down to take another long drink of the refreshing water, blue eyes sliding shut contently, Shaking out his dark mane, he shifted himself quickly back under the shade, lifting his head up to peer into the clear sky, thoughts drifting to the beautiful dark-furred lioness he was here to find. He could just feel it.. She was definitely here..

With the dark outlines of trees entering her vision, Wei let a small smile slip onto her maw. It seemed to be an upside to her day - not that her day was bad, but...
Picking up her pace a little, she trotted over towards the oasis, feeling the soft sand squeeze between her toes. She closed her eyes briefly, taking in the scent of the water, and the sounds of it lapping against the shore. Coming up to the edge of it, she bent her head down towards the ground, eying every glimmer on the ground. She was mesmerized by it, until she flicked her eyes up and...
What? Was this a dream?
Blinking a few times, Wei felt her heart leap. Across from her, lounging in the shade of a tree, was the familiar body of the one she had been dreaming of for so many moons - Raha. She was frozen stiff, staring blankly across at him. She didn't know what to do at all - part of her wanted to leap into the water and wade across to see him, but her legs wouldn't move. Her lower jaw quivered a little, and she barely mouthed his name.

By the time Wei had arrived at the pool Raha had settled into his relaxation, his eyes shut against the bright rays of the sun, body seeking rest and forcing him into a drowsy state. The carefree male say no real problems with giving his body the nap it desired and he remained oblivious to the approach of the female he could not take his thoughts from.
That is... Until she spoke, of course.
No matter how soft her voice was, the slight sound still carried. He could not make out the words, but his ears twitched up at the sound of the voice, blue eyes sliding open to peer curiously around the watering hole, seeking out whoever was near.
When his eyes settled on her, his entire body froze in disbelief. He'd heard many stories of the false-visions some would see out in the desert heat... Surely this had to be one of them. Still, without even waiting for his mind to catch up, his mouth decided to start moving. " ... Wei? "

Her mind blank, Wei's paws moved on their own. They trembled as they moved forward, not even realizing that it was water that they were heading into. Plunging into the somewhat shallow water, Wei didn't even feel the cool of the water. In fact, she felt like she was burning up. Her heart was pounding as she waded over towards the male on the opposite bank, and every second it took to reach him felt like eons.
As her wet paws grasped at the warm sand, Wei almost plowed into Raha. She was exhausted, heaving as she lay on her side next to him. Her body was soaked, and the sand stuck to it wherever it touched. Peeking her eyes open, she stared up at him, laughing through her heavy breaths. Her heart felt like it was going to burst from her chest, right out onto the sand.
"I....I can't believe...it's really you." Trying to talk through gasps, Wei reached her paw out to touch him, to make sure he was really right there next to her.
