It was a day when Subira was her happiest. She smiled.. and she laughed with her newfound mate. A soul she had captured long ago... but he proved to show her many things that her spirit meditating didn't let her see. Feel things that she hadn't before. It was a time of great joy- she had finally started to become a wilddog again.. Breathing and feeling. Not wanting to know of the future anymore and turning her back to the world she knew before. Filled with spirits, possessions and being detached from the world. Elrohir allowed her to feel...alive again. Where days felt like days- other than years of foresight. Torment of the possessions on a day to day basis. Wasn't that what she had wanted since so long ago? Heh. It seemed silly to hear now.. but she knew if the subject would have been brought up again. She would just fall back in to it.
The sounds of the evening was something of a comfort for Subira.. Walking along. Elrohir knew much of his mate.. and knew the night was hers at times unless she spoke of him coming but he also knew where to find her of course. From her white skulled face. Taking a few steps now alone.. She could feel.. It made her now new found heart soften.. Ears up as her steps were few.. and long strides. Feeling the breeze and looking up in to the sky. The evening was beautiful.. how come she had not ever seen it before? She wasn't sure. Arriving up to the hill and stood there a moment.
Imamu wasn't one to be weak, no. Had she ever done such- she would no longer be her father's child. His blood had flowed in her- but this was the day was Imamu's worst. Other than the day it happened to be conceived. Her stomach was swollen and her legs were just about to give way. But SHE WAS ALMOST THERE! So close.. so close. She chanted to herself. Devastated for the most part but trying to get to her sister. Running pregnant was never a good idea and it hurt badly and was rather crippling pain but she had to go through with it. The only one whom she knew to help her was her sister.. better. Her twin to be exact. The night had shrouded her very few and she was slightly swaying from her path and strides. Still. SHe ran. Sweating and taring up her paws as soon as the pain got too much to bare.
Only moments after standing their admiring the night sky- she saw a white flash.. but then it wasn't too long of strides that this said white flash had made its way to her in half the time that she stayed there watching it til she found the sight of what it was. "Imamu?" She questioned- and honed in on how she was looking rather different if it was her and the smell of her scent trickled her nose. Then she hoped herself off the hill and started to run towards her but not even falling short of midway.. she saw Imamu's body go down and her whole being felt as though her soul was sucked out of her for a moment- and her heart sunk in to her stomach. Growing cold as her paws hit faster against the ground to make up for her sister's fall.
Anxious.. and almost heartbreaking over it. Never feeling this emotion before- of course. Elrohir never showing it to her. For a good reason too. Coming up to the body in seconds and quickly placing her head against her sister's. "Imamu." She stated- softly rubbing her forehead against her. "Sister what has ailed you."
Her eyes were watery. She had been crying from the pain for a while but she wouldn't have noticed when she was running so hard in such a state of chaos in her mind. But when she fell.. she didn't have a recollection of falling or hitting the ground. She closed her eyes as soon as her sister's blurry vision came close to her. Feeling the wet nose and soft fur. Made her feel as if it was mother staying with her. Rubbing and comforting her of the pain. "It hurts.. I feel like my stomach is going to explode." She whispered between gasps and shallow breaths. Blood had given her a trail for over a mile. First it started with drips then she felt like at one point she was peeing then she lost the feeling of it and didn't really mind nor looked back. That wasn't on her mind.. But now that she laid there.. blankly heeving for air.. It was like she was dying. She couldn't hunt as well like this. Falling from her prey hurt like hell- way worse than anything she experienced other than her current condition. She slitted her eyes.. and faced upward to look at her twin. Straight in those black orbs.. she saw something different. Softer. "Sister.." She smiled. "You seem..different." After coming in to full focus.. then she went out of focus of her as she closed her eyes to return the favor that Subira had granted her. Affection. Something she never really felt at any time during her travels.
The black orbs- stared in to her twins. The same.. their shared something special and it always remained dear but never had the heart to show it. This.. connection. After rubbing her sister for a few moments- she take some steps around her and laid beside her. Helping her head up as she sinked under her. "Shuu.. sister. Lay." She insisted. Laying her head on top of the white. Rubbing her chin in to her. This pain. She felt it too now that they were close. At random times when with her mate- she would feel pain in her stomach and end up having to rest for some time between walks and hunts. Thinking it was the withdraws from the spirit realm but now she knew it was something more real in the mortal realm. The pains of her sister.. In which she felt now the complete connection. Closing her eyes and laying her ears back. "Shuu sister.. Rest.." After she had felt her sister cease moving except for her breaths. She opened her eyes.. looking over to her sister's stomach. It was big indeed and it looked as though it was going to explode at any moment. Eyeing it.. for a moment as her sister laid her head against one of her forepaws. Looking down at her.
Those soft eyes.. clenching as she watched the pain. At least she was strong enough to come here. To find her. To be with her in the time of need- and feeling hateful almost that she wasn't there to prevent this pain- though she didn't know what had happened. It surely must have been an act of wrong against her sister. Noting the usual scars from her sister's careless yet fearless huntings of larger animals.. but also observing the puncture wounds against her ribcage. They looked mostly covered but it looked odd. Different. She moved slightly to look it over. Those white paws- were now half covered in mud and grass like colors. Poor thing must have ran a long way to get to her.
Softly sighing. "Its going to be alright." With a painful look to her face. Soaking it in. "Spirits... is this what I get." Her voice was low.. tightening her eyes closed. 'Is this what happens when I turn my back on you!' She yelled internally as the happiness slowly started to slither away from her grasp. It hurt. Seeing her sister like this. Barely able for the energy to speak. Then her ears were met with her sister's howls in the night. A wilddog's scream. It bared right in to her chest and it ailed her in all her body. Letting her do so, as she heard the grass move. [ link for me ]http:// furaffinity.net/view/3537126/ Now she felt. Was this what she wanted to do? Feel? This. She held in her breath for a moment. The breath that held within her the life she had now.. She'd trade it all if it meant that she could help her sister.. "Please spirits...I beg of you.." Her voice soft but it sounded of ailing hearts screaming out.
Imamu's ears slicked down.. as she turned to look at her sister's face.. then laid her head to rest a bit. "Please sister.." She whispered. "It hurts.." She managed to say with a gruntful attitude of how she tried so hard to hold the pain back. That was a task to do. Whimpering at the pains as blood formed puddles behind her. Twitching all sorts and she lifted herself up slightly to scream out of the pain that went in a surging motion from her pelvis area to her head.
Black orbs looked down to her sister and she felt that pain. "PLEASE! TAKE MY BODY ONCE MORE! HEAL MY SISTER!" Howling. "PLEASE! TAKE ME AGAIN!" Quickly coiling herself around her sister with an arm extending to over the chest to nuzzle and rub against her sister's black skulled face. "Please! I BEG YOU!" As her sister screamed out.. the pain was in her heart. A moment of silence.. both the wilddogs in tears.. rubbing against her sister.. the winds waving about and mimicking their howls.
Her body was literately eating itself of pain and at one point... when the waves of silence came and left.. It went numb.. and her brain felt at ease. Something had slithered its way out of her.. but she didn't feel it. Like a slight pinch as she heard it thump. But her motherly instincts did not react.
"Then take the life then- your back to ours- Take it ~ take it!" Greedily being heard. She closed her eyes tightly. "Take whats yours! You saved her! Take it take it take it!" The slithering words of the spirits.. right? Her imagination. Her hallucinations.. "Whisper the words of the snake to her.. whisper whisper whisper~" The haunting voices egged her on. Taking her over as she started to feel numb as well.. numb. Seeing her body move but it felt like she wasn't even in charge.. she didn't move it. It was..like an out of body experience. Where it felt like she was watching the situation.. but not feeling it.
Seeing as her body tilted its head to where the 'flop'ing noise came from. Going over to see a dead wilddog puppy. Just then she was soaked back in to her body to see another come out. That one.. gave a gasp of life.. "REAP THE REWARDS! REAP THE REWARD! Another soul! A child's soul!" She blankly stared at it. Taking her paw and slowly pushing it's neck in. Feeling the soft fur against her paw.. Wanting to crush its neck for it TOO will die.
The feeling that came out of her.. She blankly sought the face of her sister. She was so dramatized by the pain.. that it felt as though she lost the feeling for everything. Another slid out with just a brisk way that she didn't even feel it. Well, how could she? It had been numbed..to her.
Subira's face.. looked creepy, dark.. as it looked on to her sister. A smile coiled in to her lips as though pained on. An impish smile. "Don't you feel better.. its dead. Over." Her voice was more like a hyena's at this point.. Lifting her paw off the wilddog puppy. As she took the sight of the other. Examining it. Thankfully there was a pond near by. Just around the over pass.
What was dead? Her brain didn't respond as a tear softly left her eyes... just the droplet of the feeling that one of the children was dead. But she didn't know it.. Her body reacted to it. She felt void... and empty now.. Her breathing seemed shallow. Seeing the blade of grass wisp by.. as her eyes. Just thoughs black orbs.. watching the grass.. not really paying attention to the outside world. What was happening. Blank.
"You rest now." The words sounded so detached and blank. As she grabbed one pup and put it against her paws. "Take this~ it will not move. nor stir.. I must take the first one to get cleaned to give it to the spirits.. I will come back for it." Her voice seemed to lack compassion. For she gave Imamu, the dead body of the puppy that she had giving birth to. As Subira looked to the puppy she had beside her.. before snatching it up and taking it to the pond.
She didn't feel.. and it was like it was all so surreal. As she lifted her body up just slightly. Yes. She had to get back to her adventures...but when she looked down at the dead puppy. The tear dropped on it. Absorbed. Blankly looking at the puppy. Whos were these? Were.. they dead? Her head leaned down and softly rubbed her head against it. "I have..another puppy..I adopted.. If you want I can adopt you too little puppy.. Shuu... do not worry.. I don't bite. You are much smaller than Izi-.."

Subira's trot wasn't that too keen on keeping of with the rest of the world. No.. She walked with small subtle strides as she came down the over passing hill to see the pond. Often times she would lay beside or bath in. But this time.. she came for a different reason. Was to give the pond the soul of the puppy. The other gateway to the spirit realm.. "Here I lay at your bay~ a puppy's youthful soul. I give to you~ dear spirits.. to forgive me for I have been away- and to heal my sister in return for this soul." Taking a step in to the pond- another- and another. Deeper til she was shoulder height in. "I give to you- this soul." And in her hallucinations came the spirits. Good and evil. Both wrapping around the puppy- but then they back. "What-" That's when... she found out the puppy was not dead. Taking a few steps back out of the water and shook. "Your alive?" She mumbled from holding him in her maw before retorting back and laying him on the bay. "I thought you were dead." Eyes over him as he moved and meeped just slightly. "Oh....the spirits.." Blinking as she put the pup down... thinking it over as she looked back.. Over her shoulder. "Hmm.." Looking down. "If your mother saw...if your mother saw.. she would be reminded and will damn the spirits.. You my lil one.... that won't do... what shall I do with you...."
"Maybe when Subira gets back.. you can get cleaned up.. and you can meet Izi.. yea.." She smiled at the little one. Softly licking at the dead thing..mother like in some fashion but not realizing that they were hers. No. Her whole being rejected the idea of herself having puppies.
Much to her discrete ways.. she brought the pup in. And rose her head as her sister obviously lost a screw in her head.. she was talking to a dead puppy. "Is the puppy yours...?" She asked with a very quiet tone..
A bright smile came to the wilddog's face as a tear slowly went down her face. "No- but isn't she cute. She looks like Izi~ I was waiting til you got back to go get her."
Subira's eyes went down to the small puppy... not the one she put to her side but the dead one that laid at her twin's feet... She closed her eyes.. and soaked in that moment for a while... She didn't know she had puppies.. was it so dramatic that her strong twin had lost all concept of reality? Slowly she came up to her sister's side and licked her face a bit. "Izi is still at my place.. Let me go and get her... But you stay here.. you can sleep here tonight- or back at my cave if you'd like." She turned around and was just about to pick up the black blob of a puppy before she stopped.
"Oh!~ Who is that Subira~ Another cute puppy?! Izi would love~" Her tail slightly wagging as she dotted on the little one.
Subira's face looked almost pained. Debating on whether to tell her it was hers. The debate didn't last long as her voice went low and serious. "It is my son." Then picked up the blob and made her way back home as she left her torn sister to talk to a dead puppy..
