It was one thing to sneak into Hillworth. It was another thing to sneak into Hillworth in full senshi regalia - actually, it was easier. At least when you didn't glow, and white uniforms were prone to picking up the last light of sunset and turning it into a moonlike gleam. And then, that wasn't to mention that sneaking into Hillworth, in uniform, trying to carry a cake was even harder.

She came in through the window, perching on the sill and tapping on the glass. Jaimie had indicated Parker was AWOL, had skipped town after Dani's... Tallulah stopped the thought there, didn't want to pay it too much attention. If you didn't speak its name, it wasn't really real.

"Hey!" she said happily, sliding in through the window. She set the cake on the desk and gave Jaimie a quick kiss before powering down. "Happy birthday! I brought stuff!"

She pulled her backpack off and pulled a few boxes of board games out. "Monopoly, Twister, Clue... Pretty, Pretty Princess!"

She waggled the pink box at him and grinned. "I think we should play this one first."

"Unbelievable." Jaimie grinned, shaking his head as he closed the window after her, and giving her a kiss in return.

The loss of his roommate had been a... sort of mixed mess. The reasons for it had been another tragedy in a long list of tragedies of late, but he couldn't honestly say, much as he didn't plan to admit it to Tal, that he didn't particularly miss Parker himself.

The two of them had never exactly been close. And by 'not close' he meant 'Parker disproved of his general existence'.

"Next time you're up for a promo from the cats, I'll have to mention your spectacular ability to break into a place with party supplies."

He glanced at the pink box and raised his eyebrow slightly. "Yeah I'm never gonna live that down am I?"

"Absolutely not," replied Tallulah, still grinning. She plopped down on the floor, criss-cross applesauce style, and began to set up the board. "Do you want to be pink? Or purple? Or ooh, there's a green piece! I guess that's for little brothers who get forced to play."

She perched the plastic crown on her own head for a moment before setting it at the center of the board. "I gotta warn you, I'm really good at this game. But maybe I'll go easy on you, it being your birthday and all."

"Have you had an okay summer without me?" she added as she detangled a mass of plastic pearl necklaces. "Stay out of trouble? ...Did you call your sister? It's her birthday, too."

She draped the necklaces over the side of the bucket, counted them, and found two to be missing. Now she remembered why no one had played this game in ages. (Well, that and the fact that she wasn't seven anymore.)

"It was... well it was about the kind of summer you have when your girlfriend is in a coma because of the dip-s**t boyfriend of an alternate universe princess."

Apparently he wasn't feeling diplomatic enough to hide his feelings on that subject.

"...I might have cussed her out at the big meeting." He confessed, clearing his throat, picking up a crown and eying it. "...Yeah I never played this. Cee used to clean up at Monopoly though. I left her a voice mail this morning." He added.

It was a sort of disjointed update, but he figured it covered most of what had happened. "She didn't pick up so I dunno if she was out or what."

Tallulah's setup came to a grinding halt. "What?!" she exclaimed, and dove for her backpack. "Alternate universe princess? Dipshit boyfriend?" she repeated, rummaging around until she found a notebook and a pen. She scrambled to sit beside Jaimie, notebook in her lap. "What big meeting? How much did I miss?"

Never mind Cee and her horrible telephone etiquette. Tallulah had bigger fish to fry. "I fall asleep for four months and when I come back the whole world's changed! Jai, you've got to tell me what I missed!"

She'd already scribbled a few notes. "Who are these people? Are they still around? I'm redoing the board this week- I knew there had to be other factions, but I had no idea! Bell didn't mention a big meeting!"

(In her defense, Bell had been out of town.)

Jaimie was admittedly a bit surprised that he hadn't just been clubbed with a plastic crown, but was more than happy to oblige, since he actually had the information for a change.

"Yeah remember those creepy Dark senshi that were popping up? One of them was apparently their princess, some chick with really long blue hair and the really -freakish- eyes. She called everyone for a meeting and had the Cav with her, so she could tell us all "Oh by the way don't do anything to damage our reputation, but by the way I'm the princess from an alternate reality and my widdle boyfriend just caused half the city to fall into a coma, which by the way could have killed them so aren't you happy he didn't?"

He paraphrased with as much sarcasm he could manage ((which was a lot)).

"...So yeah I mighta said something about her having a hell of a lot of nerve to tell US not to damage the senshi reputation, when she and her boy toy had done worse to us than Sailor Nea..." He added. "I haven't heard much from them since... the meeting kinda feel apart after that." He cleared his throat in embarrassment. "That might be why Bell didn't really mention the meeting."

Tallulah was scribbling furiously, notebook propped up on her knees as she wrote detailed notes in slanted longhand. "What were their names?" she asked, and now she hit him playfully with the plastic crown before setting it atop his mussed blonde hair. "Think, Jai."

If he hadn't seen them around since... huh, could it be? The coma patient who was killed by his girlfriend before everyone woke up? She was really just making conjectures but when you were doing detective work there was no such thing as coincidence. It was in the Moscow Rules! (It was a line from Goldfinger.) "Was her boyfriend in a coma, or did he just cause it?" she asked.

"And, um," she said, "I think the cavalier is dead. I saw something about it in the obituaries."

"Everything is so totally not better with princesses," she added, continuing to write.

"Kunzite is dead?" He blinked in surprise. He had to admit he'd been keeping his eyes off the obits. He remembered talking to her, before the meeting.
"I think she was Princess..." He paused "Nehelenia" He'd rehearsed the odd sounding name in his head a couple times before pronouncing it. The prince was easier. "The other one was Alexandros.
..What the hell kind of strategy is "Oh lets almost kill half the city we're supposed to be protecting" anyway? I mean I'm pretty sure that counts pretty high on the list of "tactical failure"."

"Not a very good plan," concurred Tallulah, writing the names down with little parentheses question marks next to them. "But as far as I can tell, no one in the government has connected the comas to them yet. Or, thank goodness, to us."

The last thing the senshi needed was for someone to decide that they had caused the whole mess. She scribbled a quick note about Alexander Rasmussen and Corinna Grant next to the names of the parallel royalty and snapped the notebook shut. She'd investigate it a bit further and confirm her suspicions before she put it up on the board, but it seemed like a start.

"Anyway," she declared and hopped to her feet, "enough of that. Do you want cake? I brought a cake."

In case he hadn't noticed the Farmer Jim's bakery box on his desk.

"The fact that they haven't is a goddamn blessing." Jaimie grumbled, his expression introspective as he played over the meeting and the mock princesses's attempts to sway the lunar senshi, but he shook it off as best he could, determined he was, by god, going to enjoy his birthday, especially since his girlfriend was no longer in a Coma.

"Cake sounds awesome."

The cake had Lion King figurines on it, and some of those goofy candles shaped like the number 17. "It's a little lopsided," winced Tallulah as she lifted it carefully from the box. "I'm sorry, I tried."

Carrying cake while bounding at thirty miles per hour was sort of difficult. She rummaged in her backpack a while longer for a book of matches and fiddled with it for a moment before asking, "If we just light them for a few seconds it won't set off the smoke alarms, right?"

If the rumors were true, there were Hillworth boys smoking skunkweed and getting away with it with alarming regularity. But it was best to check - Jaimie knew these dorms better than she did, and getting caught with a fire and a girl in his room would probably be pretty damn unfortunate for him.

She didn't exactly live to get her boyfriend in trouble.

"Well I haven't heard them get set off yet, and I'm pretty sure I've seen some small, illicit fires around." He shrugged. "A few seconds couldn't hurt." He grinned at the lion king figures and shook his head. "Just please don't sing the Circle of Life, ok? I think I'd freak out if we got invaded by the Senshi of creepy Primates."

"Is there a senshi of Baboons?" asked Tallulah as she tore a match out of the book and struck it. "If there is I haven't met them yet."

She lit the candles, blew out the match, and sang a quiet round of happy birthday. (Best to not alert the dorm minders with her off-key singing.) "Make a wish!" she nudged Jaimie. "Make it a good one."

"...Y'know... I really hope there isn't. I'd be terrified to see that Fuku." He noted, as seriously as he could manage, then blew out the candles.

I wish for some good luck for us. For all the senshi might be asking for too much, but the two of them could use a change of luck.

Tallulah produced plastic silverware and plastic plates out of her seemingly-bottomless backpack, and cut slices for both of them. "I hope it was a good wish," she said, handing him a plate and perching on the edge of the bed.

It was sort of inappropriate to ask what it was, though. "We'll have a better party another time," she assured him. "Sometime when I'm not a week out of a coma-"

"Dad says you visited a lot," she added. "Like, a lot a lot."
