It was just like every other day to Tristian. The moon rose and over took the sun, it's bright luminous glow left the land shrouded in shadows. And he hated it. He hadn't made it to the meadow fast enough and now he was stuck, trapped in the forest where the shadows seemed to almost move of their own free will. Whether it be because of the trees or another soquili, he didn't care. It was just as frightening. The forest was dense, the smell of freshly wet pine still lingering in the air after this afternoons rain. It was nice. At least during the day.
Grey eyes shifted as he made his way toward the meadow. His teal fur barely blending into the darkness he was trapped in. "What's wrong with me?!" It was crazy! He was crazy. His parents were all used to the night and even reveled in it's beauty. "Nope you, your nothing but a scared-e-cat." Sighing heavily Tristian held back his shudder and took a deep breath.

Dark already? Rinji thought to himself as his dual-colored eyes peered through the trees, toward the sky. The last thing he really remembered was entering the forest to get out of the rain. He figured that, when wandering, time truly did fly. With a small snort, the half-breed returned to his current task at hand... leaving the forest. Now, he didn't mind being in the forest, even at night. What he didn't enjoy was the feeling of the branches against his scales. That and he had to return to his small herd.
So, he slowly ventured through the trees, ears constantly alert. Just because he wasn't afraid, doesn't mean he's going to let himself be caught off guard by anyone or thing. As he traveled though, was being a bit careless as he stepped on and broke twigs on the forest floor as he walked.

Why did it have to be so dark? The idea of tripping over his own hooves even occurred to him a couple times. Lucky for him his hooves were almost like beacons in this darkness, they almost seemed glow, guiding him around stumps and over roots easily.
He was moving swiftly and at at a pace that left him out of breath when he caught the sound of twigs snapping, and he froze. The sound sending shivers up and down his spin. He swore he could almost feel it in his antlers. Then the shadows appeared. Creeping almost crawling towards him like the fingers he saw on the two-leggers. He shank back and away from them. Trying to get away, but continued they're pursuit and grew as they got closer. "NO!! Please no!!" He whispered, closing his eyes tightly, hoping that when he opened them again, they'd be gone.
Wishful thinking on his end.
(I figured the shadows could be Rinji's antlers xD)

The thought of camping here for the night crossed his mind, as he continued with his trek through the trees. The moon was getting higher in the sky, but was still behind him, casting odd shadows ahead of him. But, the stallion was unaware of this fact, keeping his attention mainly on the forest floor so he didn't stumble over anything, including his own hooves. With his priority on his footing, the fact that there was someone else around was not registered.
After a few more steps, he walked through a patch of trees, and paused. Standing... or seemingly cowering in front of him was another stallion, almost the color of moonlight and possibly glowing like it too. He watched him, slightly curiously. It seemed that something was frightening the other Cerynei. So, he glanced around them. Not seeing or even hearing anything, he looked back to the male. "Are you alright?" Rinji asked with a deep, gentle voice and even tone.

Tristian's ears perked up at the sound of the shadows voice, it didn't sound like it was about to eat him. Or hurt him for that matter.
Figuring it was safe, he slowly opened one eye. And then the other.
Grey eyes found a brown stallion, Cerynei, like himself. How stupid he must look right now. His cheeks flushed with color. "Umm.. Yes.. I think so. I think I was just being a little... over dramatic.. again."

Rinji continued to watch the other stallion. Inwardly, he was curious as to why he seemed so frightened, but his face remained neutral. His head did tilt slightly when the Cerynei finally opened his eyes though. His own dual-colored eyes watched as the other seemed to get flustered for some reason. But that was a second thought when he heard that the other was alright. "Well, that is good to hear. But... over dramatic? How do you figure?"
