Skye had been so worried about her roommate and possibly went to check on her at the hospital more times then would have been expected. Apparently she cared more for her then she had ever let on but then that was Skye, it was just what she was like. She had taken Serah her cuddly toys and had tried to help make her comfortable while unconscious.
She reached the hospital knowing that Serah was now awake. Everyone was awake and she had been promoted! Oh and Nealite and Charonite... she wondered whether Serah knew. Maybe she wouldn't tell her, not unless she asked.
Pushing the door open she walked through the hospital and through the corridors she had learnt so well. The hospital was emptier now, with the dead removed and the others going home. It didn't take her long to reach Serah's room and she hoped that she would be alone. Skye had seen Serah's family a few times but she had tried to avoid actually meeting them.
Knocking on the door she walked in smiling, in her arms she carried a rather posh looking pink teddy, a card and what looked like it was quite possibly a bag of grapes!

Serah woke up early in the morning, relieved to be informed that she could come out of the hospital a few days from now. The nurse had told her that a "red haired" girl had been dropping off the stuffed animals. Naturally, it had made Serah chuckle to herself. She was more loved than she thought. Obviously, if her snobbish roommate came, it was a great feat. Serah couldnt even imagine her haughty roommate carrying all of Serah's stuffed animals.
She was even holding one now. Naturally, it was Loppy. Serah was playing with the poor rabbit's ears when Skye walked in.At the sounds of steps from her door, Serah turned towards Skye.
"I knew you'd be dropping by! Thanks-- WAIT WHOA. Is that.. a pink teddy bear?" Serah's eyes opened wide, earms held open. (Whether it was a hug for Skye or the bear was debatable.) It wasn't often you find a pink teddy bear.

Skye smiled as Serah saw the teddy, at least she was feeling better! Skye walked over to her bed and handed her the pink teddy bear before sitting down, she felt slightly odd being in the hospital with Serah being awake, it was strange.
"Here I got you these too." She handed over the card and a bag of grapes and smiled, feeling slightly awkward now. Serah looked great though and she was surrounding by her cuddly toys, at least she was awake.
"How are you feeling?" Seemed like a good start though Serah looked perfectly fine. "How did you end up in here anyway?" Might as well ask it. She wanted to know what Serah knew, if anything at all.

Serah took the card with glee, immediately opening it onto her lab, eyes running over the words. She looked like she was a girl who was handed her christmas present for the first time! She always looked like that--- the sincerity of her happiness was one of the childlike qualities to her.
She was pulling a grape from it's stem when Skye popped the question. She pondered on how to respond for several moments, pink eyes traveling down to the packages in her lap. She paused before speaking, trying to form her thoughts coherently.
".. I suppose you could call it.. Alice in Wonderland? How she wakes up to a really strange world and nothing makes sense? It's hard to explain. Everything was real. Yet everything wasn't." She made strange helpless gestures with her hands, trying to elaborate but only grasping the bare parts of it.
"One thing was for sure. Everybody in there was real. I saw scouts. I saw negaverse. I even saw Usagi!" Serah clapped her hands together excitedly, fond (and not-so-fond) memories of her brief partner flashing vividly through her mind.

Skye listened and wondered for a few minutes whether Serah had actually gone insane while she was in a coma. Alice in Wonderland was one thing but Usagi? That was something else and Skye wasn't completely sure Serah was herself at the moment.
"What senshi did you see? Some must have been unconscious like you then, the hospital was so full! You missed out on a lot of fun though, we were all given as many youma as we wanted to kill the senshi!" Oh she remembered the fun and the death... a rolling head wasn't something you forgot about very quickly.
"At least you are back in the real world now. You going to be starting school again okay?" Yes this was another way of Skye asking if she was still going to have a roommate or not. She would miss Serah if she wasn't going to be starting school again!

"Um. There was.. senshi.. I didn't know?" Serah said sheepishly, rubbing the back of her head. She knew she probably should have recorded what information she saw-- but things were.. a little hectic.
They were given youma? Lieutenants? What a surprise. Serandite would have been uncomfortable using any other youma beside Bel though-- she wasn't sure Bel felt the same way. She hadn't even had a chance to see Bel yet-- the youma she grew affectionate with, even though she had been warned not to. But she had anyways.
"I'll probably start school again. When I can. I'll just enjoy my break from it for now." Serah nodded, looking off to the window. She had so much people to talk to-- so much to catch up on. The thought seemed overwhelming. "I hope you killed a senshi or two, Skye?" Serah smiled, the sentence worded too softly for anyone to overhear.

Skye listened and nodded. She couldn't really have expected Serah to remember everything about a dream.
She watched Serah as she seemed to do some thinking, which wasn't really surprising. Skye had a youma she had played with, of course she had her own one now but Serah didn't know that yet.
"Sounds good, you still going to be my roommate then?" She turned to look out the window, see if there was actually anything out there to look at or if it was just Serah staring in to space.
Serah's question caught Skye off guard. She wasn't expecting it and the image of Iris came into her head as she thought about it.
"No, but I got to beat some up pretty good. I must have done rather well, I got promoted." She spoke in the same soft voice so no one else could hear. Even by not mentioning certain words some people would be curious as a girl being overly proud at beating some people up pretty good. Especially with how the city had been.

"I should be. Although I'm graduating this year-- if school even has a graduation with all these events." Serah laughed, although her heart wasn't quite in it, an effect of Tartaros still lingered. It seemed that Serah was quite rooted into reality yet although she was slowly getting there.
"Whoa! You got promoted?! Congrats, Sass!" Serah threw her arms around Skye, pleased that her roommate had been recognized for her efforts. (Serah would have recommended her promotion. Skye was the only one after all, who actually wore the bunny pins. Out of her team. Speaking of her team, what was happening with Rohan and what's-his-face?) She drew away, clapping her hands together excitedly.
"Have you tried teleporting yet?" She asked curiously, knowing that Skye would be in for a surprise if she hadn't yet. Teleporting was a painful procedure at first. It involved landing on your posterior several times.

Graduation? Skye hadn't even thought of it. She would be graduating next year if all went well. She was a young one, probably the youngest in the year as she had only just turned 17.
"Thanks!" She was slightly surprised by the hug but embraced it anyway. It was nice to know that Serah was happy for her.
"No I haven't tried it yet. Slightly nervous if I am honest. I have my own youma though!" She lowered her voice for the end of the sentence, not wanting anyone to over hear what they were saying. After all they had no idea who the senshi were and they might even work in the hospital!
"I am sure I will try it all soon! I think you only have one left in the team now though. I am pretty sure Rohan was promoted as well."

"I see. Bookish rohan had been promoted then? That only leaves Creighton left." Serah pondered, recallignt hat the man's appetitie for sweets rivals, if not defeated, her own. (He took five boxes of candy. Five. FIVE.)
Any further negaverse discussion was halted for the moment as a nurse entered the room, leaving both girls to fall to an awkward silence. She entered apologetically, holding her clipboard and looking at the two girls. "Sorry but visiting hours are going to end soon. Our staff has been pretty thin for the past month so the hospital's closing early to give the staff a break. We have doctors on call if necessary-- but I'll have to ask visitors to leave early today." She gestured to Skye, motioning to the empty hall. By now, most people had left, leaving the hospital with a more comfortable silence than a eerie one.
No doubt, there would be patients that would probably sneak out of the hospital now that they had awoken and were able to move. (Serah would be one of them.) But the nurse nor Skye knew that. For now, Serah waved eagerly at Skye, brown eyes sparkling.
"I'll see you soon Skye! Thanks for the gifts!" She hugged the bear closer in her lap, a hand lifted the bear's arm to also wave to Skye as well. She had decided.
The bear's name would be Ginger.
