Today was our usual monnday night rehearsal. However, ti was one fo the worst rehearsals ive everbeen part of.

Before rehearsal, i spent 2 hours helpingsomeone in my section. He was doing awesome, the best he had done so far. we get to the field and its a if he never amrched before. 10 minutes after Ihelped him.

As for the rest of the band, energy was low, and negativity was high. Student staff yelled at everyone for everything, which i didn't participate in, people were getting frustrated because we kept doing the same set over and voer again. All the teacher, not our real director, would do is tell us to do a few sets. If we messed up she pretty much said it was terrible and had us do it over and over again, or let us move on. She didnt tell us who was wrong or what was wrong, just that it was. Nobody bothered to fix it.

Everyone was at eachothers throats. It wasn't fun at all...

it was a completely different experience, a completely different bband. For the first time since i started marching 2 years ago, i didnt feel like it was a family. It was almsot as if we were a mass of hungry lions fighting for the same turkey leg. And nothing got done. Our frist game is on friday an we still ahve 5 sets of drill elft unset for our opener.

I just dont know what to dso...

I miss the old band. The one who would get everythign done but had fun doing ti. Right now, we are getting nothing done, and it isnt fun at all.

So i need help...im tryig to motivate my ssection. I have 2 people thinking abotu quitting...but i dont know how to stop them. I know they will regret it because they are both ahrdcore band geeks.

in my opinion, this band needs a director. We did great without one in band camp, biut now that school started and the choir director has everyhting else to worry about, its hard for her to teach us and keep us motivated and working hard...
