Llujah had two of her most hated genetic parents; greed and diligence. Diligence meant energy and greed just brought back unpleasant memories of Cody and him stealing all her stuff. Granted her students of that sin were pretty alright so far but she still held a general dislike to those who took her things. Glancing around the room, Ary sighed at the slight mess from her last class that still remained in piles and shoved into the corners for later. Procrastination had it's pros and cons, that was for sure.

Llujah was a mixture of many emotions. He was nervous and almost apprehensive, but above all, he was excited. This was his second official visit to the Facility, and despite all of the unsavory rumors about it, it was a thrill for him. To get the chance to learn about his heritage and to hone his abilities was one that he could not pass up. All he knew about this particular class was that he would learn to fight and to defend himself. As such, he decided to wear a pink warm-up tee shirt and a short skirt with shorts underneath. It was the best he could do.

Llu found the melee classroom and entered. The first thing he saw upon entering was a woman that he assumed was the teacher. He flicked his tail and called out. "Um, I'm Llujah... Are you the melee teacher?"

"Yeah, I'm the melee teacher. Call me Ary, Llujah, and I severely hope you're wearing shorts under that... skirt," Ary replied, eyeing the boy's unusual clothing. She, herself, was wearing simple black shorts and a light-blue tank top. Not a stitch of pink, save for maybe the label, was anywhere to be found on her. Not even the hair-tie was pink or girly in any way. Wow. She was out-girled by a dude.

"Anyways, seeing as this is a melee class, is there anything in particular you wished to learn? Like archery or swordplay?" she asked, curious as to what Llujah would reply with. She had a sudden uprising of people wanting to learn how to fist fight, which was understandable, but he didn't seem the type. Then again, when did anybody?

Llujah chuckled awkwardly and nodded. "Yeah, I have shorts on. I guess that would be for the best, hmm..." He kicked his foot on the floor, slightly embarrassed. He didn't like wearing shorts, not one bit, but just in case, it was best to be careful. Ary seemed kind of mean, but that might be just what Llu needed. After all, you have to be mean when fighting.

Llu pondered his choices of what he could learn. There were so many possibilities that Llu could hardly make a choice. He decided to go with one of Ary's suggestion. "Archery would be neat to learn. Can you teach me that?"

"I wouldn't suggest it if I couldn't," Ary replied with a grin. The targets from her last archery class were still up, although slightly more dusty than before and a little soaked in places. From what was anyone's guess.

"Hm... I have the perfect bow in mind," she added, moving to her stores and flinging open the doors. There within resided a rack of swords, neatly aligned and displayed with each one glimmering in the soft light as if they were recently polished. On the top were recently strung bows ranging from the small and thin to the massive and powerful. She grabbed a thin one that seemed to be almost as tall as Llujah was, handing it to the boy.

"Pull the string back and tell me if it's too much. You won't break it, I promise," Ary added, glancing over the pliable white wood engraved with simple designs. It would bend a good deal before breaking, that much she knew from the trader she bought it from and several others like it. How far one had to bend the strange wood before breaking, well, the teacher had yet to find out.

Llujah smiled at his teacher enthusiastically. He would learn archery, then! He had always envied those brave ne'er-do-wells in movies who could shoot a distant target in the worst of situations with ease. Now he would get to learn that! His happiness knew no bounds.

Llu took the large bow that was handed to him and carefully looked it over. It was quite impressive and very large. Despite its size, it felt pretty light, so Llu took hold of the bowstring and began to stretch it taut. The string dug into his fingers and he winced noticeably, but he worked against the pain. Finally, he got it stretched back against the full length of his arm, though it took a couple of tries to get it right. Shaking his sore fingers out, Llu handed the bow back to Ary. "It's... It's pretty tough, I gotta say..."

Ary glanced at the boy’s fingers. “Use this. It’ll protect your fingers and keep you from slicing them up,” she replied, handing the boy what appeared to be a leather glove scarred with use. She didn’t take back the bow, but did look for a slightly easier one for him; despite thinking the current would be just fine. “Try one more time. Not sure if I have another one,” Ary added, moving aside the various bows that were at least twice the size and power of the one Llujah currently held. Their various colored surfaces gleamed softly, revealing intricate designed and colors embedded in the wood. All of which, of course, would be far too heavy for the boy to pick up alone, much less use.
