Personality: A laidback, cheerful man, prone to sarcastic jokes, self-depreciating humour, humour at the expense of others, humour in general, and occasional bouts of well intended "school of hard knocks" moments. He's not afraid to speak his mind either, and is quite blunt about things.
Nindo: "Some see weeds as a bother, a nuisance. What I see is a tough survivalist that can survive anywhere, and still have an almost beauty to it. So, what are you going to be? The flower that wilts at the first sign of trouble, or the tough weed that stands up to anything we can throw at it?"

There really isn't much to say about Hatsuo. He's a simple man, not prone to do much at all. From a young age he showed promise with the plants and poisons of the Doku clan, and by the time he was a Genin, he could manipulate the ingredients in the poisons better than most other students of the clan's techniques. By the age of 19, he'd already killed two people as part of a test administered by his father (No, they were not fellow villagers, but rogue shinobi).
At 21, he was inducted into the Iwagakure ANBU...not officially, mind you. And only for a couple years, where he worked as an assassin for the group. When he was 26 he left and started to work as a horticulturist in Iwagakure, managing not only the Doku clan's stock of poison-producing plants, but also the medicinal plants, and everything else. The soft spoken Hatsuo has never lost his edge though, and is as deadly now as he was ten years ago.
